28, New York, NYMy least favorite part of these sites is coming up with what to write here... I'm currently a doctoral candidate finishing my degree in School Psychology and living in Manhattan. I also work as school psychologist and co-director of the theatre program at a private high school in Brooklyn. My faith has been a major part of my life since childhood, but the maturation and deepening of how I view and act on my faith really began when I encountered the Jesuits in college. While not a believer in things like horoscopes or astrological signs, I do often view my life through the lens of the Libra...someone trying to achieve the image of that beautifully balanced scale as I try to resolve the extremes in my life. I've always considered myself to be an old-fashioned romantic, though I can be more than a tad sarcastic and cynical at times too (I guess it comes from growing up in NYC). I am painfully shy when I meet new people, but once I warm up a bit I can be everything from sweet to mischievous. In spite of my innate desire to hide in a corner when faced with new social situations, I love being on stage and spend a lot of my free time performing. As a native New Yorker, I am always excited to take an adventure around the city, either to enjoy my favorite tried-and-true haunts or to discover somewhere I've never been before, but I still need those evenings spent curled up with a book or a movie to replenish my emotional energy. If I really look at what I want in a relationship, I'd have to admit that the need for balance makes itself clear there as well. I would love to find someone with whom I can have long serious discussions about everything from what's going on in our lives to what the meaning of life is, but that doesn't stop me from dreaming of someone who will tag along when I run out into Central Park in the middle of the first snow storm of the year to make snow angels. This is the part of the profile where I begin to wonder if I've written either too much or too little (did I mention that I have a habit of overthinking things???) so I'll split the difference and begin to wrap things up. If you are someone who is interested/amenable to taking things slow and ultimately in the market for a future spouse, get in touch and ask me more!
74, Lake Grove, NYMy husband passed away in March of 2006. Although I still miss him very much, I realize how precious life is and am living my life with a positive and grateful attitude. I'm very fortunate to have a loving family and many wonderful friends. As part of "Ms. NY Senior America", I volunteer my time as a dancer and perform at many nursing homes, assisted living facilities, etc. by entertaining the residents and find this to be extremely rewarding. However, I still would like to meet someone special to share fun times and quiet times together.
61, Woodhaven, NYI am a single, never been married, woman. I especially enjoy watching movies on Turner Classic Movies but like current movies as well. At this point in my life I would like to enjoy going to movies, dinner or drinks and get to know someone with similar interests.

45, Corning, NYI'm the woman in the car next to you at the stoplight, singing an '80s song off-key. This might surprise people who normally see me typing intently on my laptop - software manuals, newsletters, stories. Most of all, I love hearing other people's stories. My friends and family confide their secrets to me because they know I care and won't tell where the bodies are buried. I'm the diplomat in groups, and as a former boss said, the one who works to hold things together. When it's time to get out of my head, I go for a run around seemingly endless loops in local neighborhoods. You may also find me on the golf course - although my game is mediocre, I love being outside. Other projects include trying new recipes and figuring out when my English ancestors hit the North American landmass.

58, Little Neck, NYHi! Thanks for taking the time to check out my profile. I would describe myself as compassionate, honest, idealistic, spiritual, warm and funny. (Like a St. Bernard but prettier and I don't shed.) My friends would add that I'm loyal, thoughtful, insightful, understanding, always there when they need a hand or a shoulder to cry on, and sometimes sarcastic or silly or both. Being outdoors is my therapy, and I enjoy hiking, long walks, the beach in all seasons, and just sitting and watching squirrels, clouds or stars (need to do more of this). One of my favorite quotes is "Nature is God's first sacrament." (Not sure who said it but it resonates for me.) Favorite indoor activities include yoga, the gym (cardio/weights), travel, photography, cooking, most types of music, dancing, reading and movies. I enjoy meeting new people and exploring new things. Fitness and health are priorities for me. I love kids and am a devoted aunt to my niece and nephew, despite the fact that they live out of town.
58, Rochester, NYI am a cradle Catholic, and attend mass every week. I have a 26 year old son, who has grown into a thoughtful, intelligent, and talented young man. We have a great relationship and I love him dearly. I enjoy watching a good movie( thrillers, dramas), reading, concerts, theater, dinner with friends. Love picking around flea markets, auctions, small towns, and little shops. Love taking walks, the Beatles, cats, and a good cup of coffee.Going to festivals are fun, and there are so many in this area all summer long.Visiting museums, traveling, and meeting new people. I can be quiet when first meeting people, but warm up after a bit. I don't feel as old as I am, I can be silly and goofy( young-at-heart). My friends are very important to me, and they know they can turn to me if needing support. I have two cats. they're a bit crazy at times, but I love them. I'm crafty. Not underhand crafty, but skillful crafty. Sort of. I try to do as many repairs around my house as I can. I'm doing over my house room by room ( basic painting, etc.) I work full time as a nurse, usually nights. So, I cherish my time off and try to make the most of it. I'd love to share these interests with someone who enjoys them also. How about a cooking class, or going to the opera?(I've never been).
26, Central Square, NYI'm a bubbly, positive, woman who loves to laugh & have a good time! I enjoy catching the latest movies, games, & trying new things. Love traveling & just spending time with my family & friends, which are very important to me.
