Widowed June 2009 and with God's help trying to find my way. Remember to love and honor those in your life. Take each opportunity to tell them you love them and care about them, for we don't know when it will be the last time. Thank God for each new day. Remember there is always someone who has less than you and is hurting more. Embrace life. Those are my thoughts on life. Come and be my friend and enjoy each moment of life.

I believe that when one door shuts if we wait on God He will open another. I'm semi-retired and would like to meet someone to explore with me all the possibilities and excitement that this phase of life has to offer. Of course any great relationship starts with a great friendship! I'm an easy-going person who doesn't sweat the small stuff. Faith and family are important to me. I'm a loyal friend and good listener. Although I may be somewhat quiet at first, meeting new people and finding out what makes them tick is fun for me. Some of the things that I enjoy include dancing, biking, going for walks and being outdoors, particularly on or near the water, especially the ocean! A day trip to one of the Finger Lakes in Upstate New York any time of the year always refreshes my spirit. A fun afternoon activity would be biking or walking along the canal path and maybe stopping for a picnic or ice cream along the way. Getting cozy by the fire with a glass of wine on a cold winter night is just right! So is a challenging board game (I like Scrabble) or a foursome for Euchre.

I believe in living in the present, remembering but not dwelling on the past, and looking forward to the future understanding that the only moment that we are sure of is the one we are living. I am generally a happy person and I love to entertain people with stories(many of them about my own foibles) and I like to make people laugh. Family and friends are very important to me and I enjoy spending time with them. I enjoy many types of people and have often had wonderful conversations with people in airports, hospital lobbies, and social gatherings. I sometimes write short stories about these encounters. I retired three times from teaching biology at a nearby community college, but I may return to do part time tutoring. I lost my husband to cancer seven years ago and although my life is full I miss the companionship of an ongoing relationship. I enjoy people who have a good sense of humor, who are happy with themselves and do not have a temper, who know how to work hard, but can also relax when appropriate. I love most kinds of music especially classical and Celtic, but not rap. I enjoy traveling-- from a few hours to long vacations. I have very much enjoyed several cross- country driving trips with some of my family, and numerous trips to Mexico and several to Great Britain. I love to read and enjoy nature and the outdoors, I have done volunteer work at my church-- recently I taught children in our faith formation program and for several years I coordinated our church dessert both at a country fair. I was very active in many activities when I was younger but two severely arthritic knees and other life circumstances caused a sedentary life style for a number of years and resulted in me becoming" twice the woman" I once was. I have two new knees and I am starting exercising and other life style changes to become more fit. I would enjoy the company of someone with similar interests, starting with coffee and conversation and seeing where things go from there.

I am not sure where to beginning. I would say that I am a spunky and fun loving. Through my experiences in my life, I have discovered not to take anything for granted..... to appreciate all that is around us. To life in the past.... will not allow myself to go on to the future. I do believe that there is a reason for everything and we must keep moving forward to be able to look back at the past to understand the past.... (does that make sense?) Anyways, I try to see the positive in everything around me, thought there are times I have to look really hard. I do love to laugh. I try to be thoughtful and caring. If you were to find me - I would probably be in the kitchen whipping up some kind of meal.... I love to cook!! Tell me what you like and I will try to make it for you. The people whom have the most influence in my life is my mom (and dad) and my sister. All of them have such depth and strength and determination. I also have four outstanding, wonderful, and caring children along with 4 adorable grand children. I am very blessed.

I'm a very active person. I have been retired for 3 years. My main interest is my family. However, much of my free time is spent doing volunteer work and spiritual study. My hobbies are numerous. I like playing the piano, reading, square and round dancing, card playing and playing bingo. I also enjoy traveling, movies, and going out to eat. I'm looking for companionship with a man who has some of the same interests as I.

I am an outgoing, intelligent lady. Togetherness, dining out, travel, and enjoying the outdoors for long distance walking are some of my interests. I am seeking a kind, considerate, and caring man, with a good sense of humor, and strong traditional Catholic values for email correspondence and if location permits, occasional dating.

Hi, I enjoy getting together with family and friends. The most influential person in my life is my mom. In my leisure you can find me reading, shopping watching TV, or cooking. I still work full-time so that leaves me with limited time for myself during the week. I am looking for someone that is looking for a relationship that is caring which involves giving as well as receiving kindness and concern.

I love my family and friends. I enjoy the arts, music, and traveling abroad and the US; dining, participating in outdoor activities. I don't consider myself a great athlete, however, I'm "out there" and doing activities and enjoy the four seasons. I am a pretty good downhill skier (Bristol member). In the warm weather, I kayak as often as possible. My joy is camping and traveling -- anywhere where there is water and mountains. (I have a 17' trailer, so I enjoy the comfortable good life while I'm "roughing it" throughout the US.) I've been throughout Europe and the US, and want to do more. I love cities, seeing museums and art galleries and historical treasures. Traveling with "that someone special" would be so wonderful. Although I'm not the greatest golf, I enjoy golfing regularly. I love sailing, fishing, snowshoeing, and hiking. I'm not a great biker, but I do a little. I should let the "cat out of the bag" and confess that I am an avid oil painter.... the "plein air" type who paints landscapes out of doors. This is a large part of my life and enjoyment. Additionally, I a "folkie" musician. Throughout my life, I've played instruments and I play music with friends.
