33, Geneva, NYHi! Thanks for stopping by. It's nice to "meet" you. Allow me to tell you a little bit about myself. I love to travel, read, listen to music, be outdoors when upstate NY's weather cooperates, going to the Y, and hanging out with my friends. I love to laugh and making others laugh-after all, laughter is the best medicine. :)
55, Lima, NYLove the outdoors,,,very active: running, biking, hiking, swimming, x-country skiing, camping, moonlit walks. Enjoy entertaining, cooking, playing cards. Not much into TV. Got my motorcycle license summer of '08 and love 2 ride! Studied Herbology, Iridology, and Natural Healing while living in Colorado. And I practice it in my day to day life. Eat very healthy and don't allow negative thoughts to control me. Very upbeat and smiling all the time. I believe that communication is key to a great relationship, along with laughter!
59, Rochester, NYI am ready to find my new best friend and experience what God has planned for us. I have been widowed for 5 years. I am the middle child and close to my family and talk often. I have one daughter, one grandson. I like to experience new things, people and places and see God's creations. I enjoy the fine arts and admire their God given talents. I thank God every day for my gift of faith and His many blessings.

70, Rochester, NYI believe that when one door shuts if we wait on God He will open another. I'm semi-retired and would like to meet someone to explore with me all the possibilities and excitement that this phase of life has to offer. Of course any great relationship starts with a great friendship! I'm an easy-going person who doesn't sweat the small stuff. Faith and family are important to me. I'm a loyal friend and good listener. Although I may be somewhat quiet at first, meeting new people and finding out what makes them tick is fun for me. Some of the things that I enjoy include dancing, biking, going for walks and being outdoors, particularly on or near the water, especially the ocean! A day trip to one of the Finger Lakes in Upstate New York any time of the year always refreshes my spirit. A fun afternoon activity would be biking or walking along the canal path and maybe stopping for a picnic or ice cream along the way. Getting cozy by the fire with a glass of wine on a cold winter night is just right! So is a challenging board game (I like Scrabble) or a foursome for Euchre.
50, Rochester, NYI am independent; tend to be a tomboy, but just the same I like when a man opens a door for me or shoots me a wink that makes me blush. I'm divorced, and have been single for awhile now. It would be great to find a partner who can let the past be and go forward with an enthusiasm for life. I am searching for a long-term committed relationship. I don't smoke and I don't do drugs. I like a couple glasses of wine when out, or for a special dinner for two. I don't go to bars, hence being here. I like to go out to the movies, check out new restaurants, go to festivals and the like. I'm just as happy staying home and watching the telly with bowl of popcorn too I love going for walks, and being out in nature. I'm adventurous, and love to travel every chance I get. I've had great experiences hiking in the White Mountains, the Smoky Mountains, the Blue Ridge and as far north as Algonquin Provincial Park. I've recently moved back to NYS from NC. Rochester is my home town. I am an animal lover. I grew up in a family lifestyle where animals were a big part of life - we had menagerie from guinea pigs, cats and dogs to horses when I was young. I even had a pet-sitting business when I was in college for 5 years, and was featured in a local newspaper. I would like to find a partner who is equally fond of animals. I only have one dog now because of my busy lifestyle. I am financially self-sufficient and want a partner that can say the same. A priority for me in a relationship is being with a positive person. I am a kind and thoughtful person, I try to be considerate of other's feelings. I value my relationships over material wealth
32, Rochester, NYI am a practicing Occupational Therapist. I love what I do - it is hard at times but extremely rewarding. My family is everything to me - I have three brothers and 6 nieces and nephews whom I adore. You could say I am pretty crazy about cats. I have four of my own and have volunteered with various animal rescues in the past. I grew up Catholic and my faith is a huge part of my life. My parents have probably been the most influential people in my life. No matter how hard it got for them, they always stuck it out and taught me perseverance, dedication, and love. In my 20's, I had a hard time connecting with my faith/the church. I have had various events happen in my last the past few years and I have since reconnected with my faith and God. I really enjoy going out just as much as staying in. I love trying new things and would say I am somewhat adventurous. I love sic/fi and fantasy movies in addition to action/adventure. I really love anything to do with Marvel/The Avengers, Mass Effect (video game - better than star wars, play it you'll agree. If not then we will agree to disagree), the ocean, traveling, coffee, eating seafood, being a homebody with my cats, baking/cooking, and continually finding new things to do. I also love tattoos and I have four of them as I think it is an amazing expression of oneself.
34, Canandaigua, NYI am passionate about my career and the impact it allows me to have with the kids I work with. I love being around my niece and nephew... so fun to see them grow and develop into such awesome little people! I am very close with my family and can easily say that my parents and my older brother have been the most influential people in my life. My parents have been the ideal role models. While I may not always openly admit it, my brother has also been very influential. Haha. As a family, we have been through a lot of ups and downs and can easily say that navigating this sea we call "life" would not be manageable without them. I love spending time with those I love most and will often visit friends/family near and far whenever I can in an effort to maintain those relationships. Traveling is a passion that allows me to satisfy my curiosity by taking in the culture and atmosphere outside of my "norm". I enjoy meeting people, learning their story and what makes them who they are. This trait tends to lead me to having many acquaintances everywhere I go. I also enjoy staying active and getting outdoors whenever possible.
54, Rochester, NYI work with people who have special needs. My interests are varied; I enjoy spending my time outdoors. My passion is camping, traveling, and other interests. The person who has influenced my life the most is my grandmother.
41, East Rochester, NYI'm a mom of two and I'm always making something. I cook, knit, write, garden, etc. I would love to learn to fish and hunt. I'm a crunchy granola type in a lot of ways. I did the whole attachment parenting thing (loved it!), raised chickens and ducks, made jelly, lots of fun stuff. I used to homeschool my kids, which was crazy and fun. Like the homesteading, I miss it. That was work that felt important to me and always brought me joy. I still teach writing to homeschool students. I also tutor and work as a customer service representative. When it comes to music, TV, movies, etc. I like the smart and quirky. I have a history of watching murder mysteries like Bones, reading classic literature like Jane Eyre, and avoiding reality television. I enjoy the kinds of board games that get awards in Germany and have a bunch of expansions. My idea of a great party is maybe ten people around a table with some good food and some games. I enjoy the occasional big party, night on the town, whatever, but my normal speed is quieter and more intimate.
33, Elmira, NYAbout me? What can I say? Two years ago I converted to the Catholic Church after being raised in the Pentecostal faith. My then five year old son was baptized during the same Easter Vigil. He is my only child and is now seven. He shows such an openness and receptivity to God, I am so thankful. A child's love for God is truly a beautiful thing to behold. I am a bookworm, having more books than can fit on my bookshelves at the moment. Jane Austen, Madeleine L'Engle, Khaled Hosseini are a few of my favorite authors. Bishop Barron, Fr. Michael Gaitley and Fr. Dave Pivonka have been invaluable to me on my ongoing Catholic journey. I have a passion for my growing in my faith(read: I constantly have my nose in some sort of theological composition), Montessori education including the Catechesis of the Good Shepard, the Russian language and culture, and naturally, travel. I would love to travel to St. Petersburg, Volgograd, Italy, Greece and England.
35, Rochester, NYI am a fun easy going girl who is close with family and has a group of friends from high school and college who are like family. I have a job that I love. I'm looking to find that special someone to enjoy all of life's adventures.
