55, Hillsborough, NCI am sort of old fashioned when it comes to dating so online dating isn't my first choice or second or...but I know 2 people who met their life partners online, so I think it's worth a try. I'm a mild-mannered person who truly enjoys life's simple yet most important pleasures, like spending quality time with loved ones or taking a scenic walk and stopping for an ice cream cone along the way :) I love to visit and walk around Charleston- always being sure to 'taste-test' the fresh warm pralines. I recently visited Northern Idaho, right next to the Canadian border, and must say it's the most beautiful part of the country that I've ever seen. I even considered moving there. I love breathing fresh air and walking outside in nature. I also love animals, particularly dogs, and used to have an Australian Shepherd who was as close to being human as I think is possible for a dog. The only 'pets' I have now are tropical fish. I have often felt I'd do well living on a farm, growing vegetables and spending time working outside in nature- although I have never actually done that, although I was born in the country. I have a good amount of energy and am often mistaken to be younger than my years. I am generally optimistic and I love to laugh and make the best of things. I am strong in my Christian faith and hope to find someone with similar beliefs who is also optimistic about life. A mature man with 'old fashioned' values who still believes in the sanctity of marriage. Someone who is loving and kind and who loves to laugh and who is also looking for the same in a woman. I am basically hoping to find the man God intends for me and to get off of this site ASAP! It's probably important to add that my photos are recent so you won't have any trouble recognizing me should we meet.
37, Durham, NCI grew up in a suburb of Washington, D.C., the oldest of four children. My parents created a home life that was thoroughly imbued with love, support, and a lot of laughter (much of which was directed at each other). I moved away at age 18 for college, but, even now, home is where my family is. I currently work as a physician. On good days, my work is a vocation, allowing me to feel I am truly helping others. This is probably the most important sense of my identity as a Catholic: a sense of connectedness to others in the Body of Christ, and a desire to both experience community with and be of service to those in need. I have attempted to pursue charity and social justice in living a Catholic life. My passion over the past few years has been international travel. During my childhood, our family's trips involved cramming ourselves into my parents' minivan and driving to Pennsylvania, then South Dakota, to see our grandparents. I took my first trip abroad in 2005 when I visited Ireland with a friend from medical school. I remember an acute sense of awe, and a near-constant awareness that a great deal of what I saw in Ireland was centuries older than anything back home. I loved being immersed in that history, one I have a personal connection to, as many of my ancestors immigrated to the U.S. from Ireland. I have made it a priority to travel abroad at least once a year since. I've visited six continents and dream of visiting Antarctica one day. I have made great friends through my travels, but I long to share future trips with someone who can share my sense of adventure and awe at what the world has to offer. I feel that the experiences will be even more powerful if they are shared. I also enjoy reading, trying to discover new shows on Netflix, and baking. I joined a kickball team earlier this year, which has allowed me some limited athletic success (I was quite the kickball whiz at Queen of Apostles Elementary School in the 1990's). When our team goes out for trivia, I'm usually good for a few obscure history facts, though I've forgotten much of what I used to know about pop culture.
55, Raleigh, NCI am down to earth and a little bit introverted, but can talk to anyone, anywhere, anytime, anyplace. I am a serious person when it comes to matters of faith, family, and responsibility, However, when the timing is right, I have a mischievous and sometimes silly sense of humor. Laughing and having fun is important to me. Helping others is important to me as well. Inwardly, I long for adventure -- travel, not base jumping or cliff climbing :).
49, Raleigh, NCHi! Glad you popped in to read my profile. This is the first time I am trying an on-line site, so here I go: A little bit about me - I enjoy taking long walks, driving to small towns and experiencing their "claim to fame". I'm a dog lover & would like to meet someone who is as well. My parents were the most influential people when growing up; they were married over 50 years and had great respect for each other. I would enjoy finding someone who wants to explore the area and has a love for water! I enjoy swimming, boating, watching professional golf and tennis and am a NFL Packer fan. I like the NHL, a former CBJ fan and now the Hurricanes.
72, Wilmington, NCMy close friends would say "I am well put together; a little bit unpredictable and totally caring,,all in a petite 5'1" package. I have a good sense of humor. I feel equally at home in a pair of jeans or a classic dinner dress. I am outgoing and have a zest for life. I have a wonderful family and friends. While my family and church community are caring and supportive, I would love to share good conversation and special moments with a great man. I enjoy walking on the beach, letting gentle waves touch my toes. I love to see new life take hold in my garden or admire the natural beauty of a scenic park. It's my way of letting God know I appreciate the special world He has created for us. I get excited about exploring new leisure time activities like exploring new travel destinations, learning to play golf or learning to ride a bike again. I am equally happy to spend quiet times with someone who enjoys life as I do. I don't know what my future holds, but as I have approached life in the past with faith, an open mind and heart, I am ready to embrace new adventures that the Good Lord has for me. If you're a young at heart senior, who would like to share laughter and the easy going nature of a special lady, I would like to hear from you.
47, Raleigh, NCBasically, I'm a Mom of Many and a Business Owner. I spend time with my children as much as possible when they are with me. I love keeping healthy and staying in shape. Summer is my favorite season and the beach is where I'd love to be if I have a choice. If I do watch tv, it will either be a lighthearted comedy or a crime drama. Music is very important at my house. I begin every week the same way, at my home church with my children. I've been at my church for right nigh on 25 years and I consider a lot of these people to be as close to me as family.
25, Chapel Hill, NCI have always aimed to be a "What Would Jesus Do?" kind of person, and aim to make others feel valued. I am a study abroad advisor at the university level, and deeply value my work with students - global engagement is very important to me, and I aim to give students access to these experiences. My faith stems in large part from my incredible family, especially my mother. I also participated in a Catholic retreat in high school that really solidified my faith. (I was recently on team for the same retreat as an adult nine years later - talk about full circle!) I am a big reader/writer, and am currently working on my (very ongoing) memoir. I am highly conversational in Italian, and try to pick up new languages when I can. I am hoping to find a good adventure buddy - I have traveled quite a bit and am always looking to cross more places off my growing bucket list! I truly believe that a positive relationship is based on friendship and shared commitment to each other. I look forward to finding this person to face life's joys and challenges with!

31, Raleigh, NCAn online meeting people place? Yeah, it's crazy, but let's do it, because nowadays no one talks to anyone, we are looking our phones all the time. I am an honest, lovely and intelligent woman. I am funny, and I love to laugh sometimes I don't understand all the jokes (English is not my first language, so you need to explain) and I'm always looking for new experiences. During my free time, I love to be together with friends for a board game night, movie, restaurant, or sport (I'm the person who talk no the one who watch). I am quick to laugh but also enjoy that never ending serious conversation. I hope to find the right men who wants to be out of his comfort zone, ready to grew up and help each other to be our best versions. My time is valuable. No Games.
