32, Amherst, CAWho am I? In 2500 characters or less..well. I am me and I like who I have become. I am a nurse and feel that it is a very rewarding career. To have the honor and priveledge to help others heal, to see the strong at vulnerable points and be able to help them on the road to recovery is very rewarding. I feel that nursing is the career that fits the person I am. I also am an active parishoner when I am not working. I sing in the choir and absolutely love singing. It is a strong passion of mine. My family is also of great importance and our strength as a family and as individuals stems from our love of the Lord and the church. I am a very open person once I get to know people. I love to chat and talk rather then party and dance ( though a little of that is good once and a while). I love to meet new people and if a bond is formed I am loyal to the end. I don't have a bunch of friends but the handful I have will be friends for life. Please feel free to message me and I will make every effort to respond!!
39, Halifax, CAMy faith, my family, and my friends are all very important to me and I feel very blessed to have them in my life. I just moved back home to Nova Scotia after living in BC for 6 years. I had a great time in BC and made many good friends, but I missed my family and friends in the maritimes and overall felt NS was where God was calling me to be (at least for now). I feel a strong call to a personal vocation of marriage and motherhood and so pray that someday (God willing) those vocations will be a reality. I love hiking and sailing and spending time outdoors, but I also love relaxing with a good book in front of the fire, sharing cups of tea with friends, and curling up on the couch watching a movie. On the work side of things, I'm a family doctor and am currently doing locums (it's like substitute teaching for doctors) which is great for right now because it means I can work hard when I work and then take blocks of time off to travel, spend time with family/friends, or work in different parts of Canada. I love traveling, experiencing new cultures, and meeting new people, but I also love coming home at the end and catching up with family and friends. I've been part of two medical mission trips to Vietnam (which are a great combination of faith, rewarding work, and fellowship). Medicine really is a vocation for me (my professional vocation that is) and I feel very blessed and privileged to share in peoples lives in this way and pray that Christ is always at the centre of every patient encounter. I try to live out my faith in my daily life. In the past, I've been in involved in youth and music ministries in church and have attended 2 World Youth Days. I was one of 15 young people who got to have lunch with Pope John Paul II at WYD 2000 in Rome. It was an unbelievably amazing experience! I look forward to meeting new friends or perhaps being reaquainted with old ones on this site and with God's help, if it is His will, I pray that one of the friendships will develop into more! :-). One more thing, I'm a bit old fashioned when it comes to dating and believe the guy should be the one to take the initiative to start the relationship...so if I've looked at your profile and haven't messaged you don't just assume I'm not interested. I really hope to hear from you! Take care and God Bless you! :-)

37, Chester, CAI am a person that is kind and caring for others. I am hoping to find someone with similar values. I enjoy being outside, hiking, going to the beach, traveling, reading, learning, cooking, music, and painting. I am a teacher and I have taught in Beijing and in Quebec. I have had wonderful opportunity to travel. I have been working in a different field the past couple of years, supporting adults with disabilities, while completing my Master's degree in Education, in Guidance and Counselling. I was raised protestant, and I was protestant missionary in South Africa and I attended Bible College, with the intent of returning to Africa as a missionary. I spent several years away from my faith after that, and I was introduced to the Traditional Latin Mass through a friend (long story), and I rediscovered faith, in a more rich and in depth way than I had in the tradition I was raised in.
26, Halifax, CAThese are a few of my favourite things: hiking, snowshoeing, bicycling, canoeing, bonfires, farmers markets, foraging, great food. The beauty of nature energizes me. I feel very loved by God through his creation. Exploring, hiking, gardening helps me to feel grounded and content and inspired. It is through this that I feel connected to God, to the earth, and to myself, in unity. I am a lover of tea, books, and adventures. My relationship with Christ is central to my life, and I love my faith and the home the Church is for me. As a visual artist, my work is focused on themes of place and community through fibre based installations. Leading art workshops and instructing classes are things I enjoy; I am interested in persuing work in the context of a retreat centre. Having grown up in various parts of Canada and Ireland, a love for the world has been instilled in me; I am in awe of the beauty of various cultures and greatly enjoy meeting new people and places. I am seeking a life companion who shares my faith, values, and love for life!

57, Halifax, CAHi ! just sitting in my living room on a snowy Friday night relaxing after a long work week. Looking forward to the long three day weekend and getting outside for a walk with my new snow shoes.
38, Halifax, CAI would describe myself as stable in my career and goal oriented. I enjoy making people laugh and doing small things for others. I have the tendency to care about other people's feelings...I love to travel - because i want to see the what's out there... When I'm with someone special I like being spontaneous, romantic and surprising them with little gestures. I'm looking for someone who loves God, has a good values and of course, who I can connect with. Having similar interests helps - some things I enjoy are eating, walking at the park/mall, watching movies, traveling, & volunteering
38, Halifax, CAI'm pretty easy going & drama free. I have a job I enjoy, and 2 teen sons, one of whom I'm enjoying teaching how to drive right now :) I try to get to the gym every weeknight for a couple hours in the winter, and swim every morning before work. It's not about weight loss, but feeling fit, and able to run up a flight of steps without being out of breath. I love to disappear on the trails on my bike in the summer, find a lake to jump in for a swim, and ride home. I'm also a huge animal lover. I have a house full, and don't know what I'd do without my little fur buddies I've recently returned to the church after 20 years away, and couldn't be happier to be 'home'. For the first time since I moved to Nova Scotia 20 years ago, I feel like I belong somewhere. I've signed up to work with a couple ministries at our parish to volunteer my time, and can't wait to get started!
43, Halifax, CAI enjoy spending time watching my daughter grow and learn about the wonders of the world. I love spending time outdoors with her, which includes biking, walking our dog, running and swimming at the beach and sometimes simply doing nothing at all. We spend a lot of time with my family and close friends. It really does take a village to raise a child. Learning is something I am passionate, I never want to stop learning and through travel is one of the best ways to learn about other people. People fascinate me, and what other people believe in and know to be true is really special.
45, Enfield, CAI look forward to eventually meeting someone I can confide in, someone who can make me laugh. I enjoy reading, nature walks, and relaxing around a fire with family and a nice bottle of wine(on occasion). My grandparents were responsible for my positive memories. My ex husband taught me about what I can live with and what I cannot. My life as a critical care nurse has taught me about what is truly important.
69, Halifax, CAI enjoy long walks, spending time with children and grandchildren. my mother most influenced my life along with priests, doctors and friends. I enjoy walking on the waterfront, nature, church, and a good clean movie
