38, Halifax, CAMy faith, my family, and my friends are all very important to me and I feel very blessed to have them in my life. I just moved back home to Nova Scotia after living in BC for 6 years. I had a great time in BC and made many good friends, but I missed my family and friends in the maritimes and overall felt NS was where God was calling me to be (at least for now). I feel a strong call to a personal vocation of marriage and motherhood and so pray that someday (God willing) those vocations will be a reality. I love hiking and sailing and spending time outdoors, but I also love relaxing with a good book in front of the fire, sharing cups of tea with friends, and curling up on the couch watching a movie. On the work side of things, I'm a family doctor and am currently doing locums (it's like substitute teaching for doctors) which is great for right now because it means I can work hard when I work and then take blocks of time off to travel, spend time with family/friends, or work in different parts of Canada. I love traveling, experiencing new cultures, and meeting new people, but I also love coming home at the end and catching up with family and friends. I've been part of two medical mission trips to Vietnam (which are a great combination of faith, rewarding work, and fellowship). Medicine really is a vocation for me (my professional vocation that is) and I feel very blessed and privileged to share in peoples lives in this way and pray that Christ is always at the centre of every patient encounter. I try to live out my faith in my daily life. In the past, I've been in involved in youth and music ministries in church and have attended 2 World Youth Days. I was one of 15 young people who got to have lunch with Pope John Paul II at WYD 2000 in Rome. It was an unbelievably amazing experience! I look forward to meeting new friends or perhaps being reaquainted with old ones on this site and with God's help, if it is His will, I pray that one of the friendships will develop into more! :-). One more thing, I'm a bit old fashioned when it comes to dating and believe the guy should be the one to take the initiative to start the relationship...so if I've looked at your profile and haven't messaged you don't just assume I'm not interested. I really hope to hear from you! Take care and God Bless you! :-)

I want to travel the world and spend my life helping people, whether it's through my music (I play lots of instruments and write my own songs) or by spreading the joy of Christ to others. I want to dedicate everything I do to God because he's cool and I like him a lot, even though sometimes I want to punch him.
