Hope springs eternaI for this lady. Spring is surely right around the corner, even for those on the east coast where two of my children live. The Arctic Vortex shall not return, Please. I need spring. I love waves at the beach, sunshine, flowers, laughing and spending time with people. Plays and concerts, especially outdoors, are favorite pastimes, as well as visiting nature spots and museums of all kinds. I am known for my smile. I spent almost thirty years raising four children in east Texas . Kids are all grown, hence the smile. Semi-retired. Do part time nanny care. No longer waiting for grandchildren. He was born Nov.17, 2015, and I am heading to Boston to meet him and on to Toronto to celebrate with my brother at his condo in the Aura. Have found a volunteer ministry and move from one to the next as our good Lord leads me. I go through the next open door, turn around as a door closes, and even climb through windows if that is the Lords beckoning. Social justice and finding solidarity with the poor are my leanings, though at times I feel clueless, I have much empathy as I walk in certain shoes. Love and peace can blanket those in our corner of the world even as we reach out to the plight of those in other countries. Play on words there, as I have found a new blanket ministry that keeps growing. I take that as a positive sign. Faith is the center of my life. Sixteen years of Catholic education. I am against capitol punishment (consistent right to life ethics), for married priesthood, male or female. Am not Pollyanna, as my opening may sound, but have seen many sides of life and left the baggage behind. I look for the good and practice gratitude. Can be a complete realist and find joy in the smallest things. See the good in all. Do you? Am learning about Marianist practice of imagination, (seeing and expecting the best), mindfulness and more.

I am passionate about continuing to make my life as positive as possible. My Catholic faith is very important to me. I volunteered for 5 years and it was one of the most invaluable experiences of my life. I will treasure that even though I was nervous about it at first. I learned so much about myself and the commitment I had to making a difference in someone else's life. I enjoy meeting new people even though I have a group of friends I have known for a very long time. I love music. I am a realist now, but I still believe in the beauty of life. I believe we can control how we feel and even when I get down about things I have no control over, I always bounce back with a smile on my face. I would enjoy meeting someone who I can talk to and feel safe being able to confide in him knowing there is trust. I am very affectionate and enjoy holding hands and hugging. Just having a good time laughing, but respecting one another's opinion on life or anything else. There is so much more I have to share, but this is a small part of how I feel.

I love to walk/hike; like music and going to concerts; plays; theater; reading; dancing; playing cards; decorating; eating out. I am a very good cook, but cooking for one is not much fun. I'm playful, like to kid around and very Irish. ... I am very easy going, laid back, like nature and simple things in life. Appreciate every day... I love to be around water... have been canoeing, would like to try kayak... I believe learning is lifelong so if you can teach me something, I am an enthusiastic student! Would love to learn to play golf and speak Spanish.

My experiences with motherhood included two boys who gave me a run for my money. They taught me unconditional love. I was always there for them and supported the dreams they had for themselves. That has really paid off for them. I am the kind of grandma who listens, gives way more hugs than they think they need and tells them often how loved they are. As an individual I am a teacher, an artist, a gardener who loves music and often sings out loud to the radio. Determined, strong, healthy and proactive about getting my life back together. Am interested in many things and intend to continue to learn and grow as a person. I still teach full time, but retirement is right around the corner. First the first time in my life, I am learning to play an instrument, which is proving to be an interesting challenge. I am in a bell choir at a local church. The sound is lovely, even when you make a mistake. And it is good mental exercise. I am open to what this next part of my life holds.

My family comes first for me. I have 2 children who make me very proud...my son in southern California...he's a patent attorney, and my daughter here in Cincinnati. She's a stay at home mom, as I was for several years. I thought I'd never become a grandmother, but then in 2012, 3 little boys were born within six weeks of each other. I was so excited I could hardly stand it! And last year little Sammy came into the world to join the group. I pray in thanksgiving for those little guys every night. With that being said, I'm also adamant about having a life of my own. When I moved here to be closer to my daughter, I was determined to make friends of my own. And I have thru a wonderful meetup group of local women. We go to movies, try new restaurants, take in festivals and now we're thinking of doing a little travelling. Just find things to do. But I would really like to meet a kind, easy-going man to enjoy life with. I enjoy the company of a man and feel more fulfilled in that relationship. I'm a retired teacher...taught Spec. Ed. and was a reading specialist with elementary school aged children. Now I work with some struggling readers at a local school. Volunteering is an area I feel drawn to and want to do more of as I settle in here. Leisure time? I truly do love the simple things in life.....walking, biking, having romance in my life, spending time with my family. I'm settling into my house...recently moved here from Columbus. Try to get to the gym 2-3 times a week, explore my new town, try new recipes, travel (both spontaneous and planned), take in a movie.....just the normal things most all of us do. I really enjoy traveling. I recently returned from Ireland and would love to go back. Thinking of an Alaskan cruise next year. One of my bucket list items is to visit the great western National Parks. Since childhood, I've found such peace by being out in nature (probably because I was raised in such a rural area) and still, one of my favorite sounds is the sound of silence.

I am a widowed mom to five grown children and grandma to three young boys. I'm happiest when we are all together, which is, unfortunately, only a couple times a year. My dad's faith helped formed my faith life and my mom was the most moral woman I have ever known. Together, they provided a very simple and secure life for my brother and me. My husband lived a life of Christian stewardship in action. I was so fortunate to have these wonderful people in my life! Truly blessed! But life challenges us and changes us. I'm in a good place now. I may be alone but I am not lonely. I have an incredible support system of family and friends!! I cannot live without humor and laughter, even if it's at my expense! I have a wonderful circle of friends and we enjoy eating out, wine tastings, concerts, the theater, volunteer opportunities, traveling, sporting events, etc. This time of year you will most likely find me working in the yard....when it's not raining! I am looking for a fella who is secure, fun, adventurous, honest and faithful.

I am a practicing "cradle" Catholic, mother of 4 adult children (3 sons and one daughter), grandmother to 4, and retired from Federal Civil Service employment in the secretarial/administrative field. After almost 3 carefree years in retirement, I recently submitted my application to a placement agency. I asked to be considered for part-time work, with the expectations that I would expand my social contacts and keep my brain active. At almost 64 years of age, I have been single for 9 years following the annulment of my 31-year marriage. It would be wonderful to meet a Catholic guy who is also retired and would welcome the opportunity to share our Faith and have fun doing simple things - conversation over a good cup of coffee, watching a wholesome video, going on a picnic, day trips to take in the beauty of nature or something special the area has to offer visitors, etc. I thought I should explain two of my answers to the Faith questions. Regarding contraception, I feel that some barrier methods are acceptable. However, I strongly oppose any method that would prevent a fertilized egg from implanting in the womb. Currently, the Church only allows the ordination of men. In the United States we have a growing shortage of priests. In Springfield, OH, one parish (of five) has closed. Two others have joined. Sunday Mass is still offered in both locations, with one priest traveling between the two parishes on weekends. Next year two more parishes will join in the same manner - sharing one priest. I would like to see the Church consider the ordination of women and also allowing priests to marry.

I am involved in our parish ministries and women's group. Flower gardening, antiquing and reading are my hobbies. Hiking is a fun summer activity as I enjoy walking four miles a day. My children and grandchildren are an important part of my life. I enjoyed being a First Grade Teacher for 30 years, and now I have a more leisurely lifestyle. I am an optimistic person and look forward to each day.

Hello, my name is Joanne. It's nice to meet you. I hope that you'll get to know me a bit after reading this. I'm not entirely at ease writing about myself, so bear with me if you will. What am I passionate about/look forward to the most? I'd say that being outdoors, with my camera, walking in nature is probably one of the things that I truly love. I feel totally absorbed and the closest to God when out in his beautiful creation. I look forward to meeting a special someone to share my life with, going out for dinner and a movie, music in the park or taking a short jaunt to explore a new town for a day. I believe that we are not meant to live alone, but to share it with someone we love. I hope that this gives you a bit of who I am. I look forward to meeting you!

I am 63 years old, divorced for 37 years with a grown son, daughter, and 3 grandchildren. I have not been in a serious relationship in over 26 years. After raising my children, I put myself through UC and Xavier, obtaining a BA in History and a M.Ed. I now substitute teach. I have started annullment proceedings. I have reached the point in my life where I would like to find a friend and a husband. If that is not what you seek-please move on. I am short, chubby, pretty, youthful looking, and active (hiking, biking, walking and swimming). I read 2 books a week. I am funny, nice, kindhearted, and sometimes impatient and sarcastic. I am very active in my parish: choir, lectoring and hospitality. I enjoy cooking and baking and small dinner partys. My influences are too many to mention but the top 5 are my paternal grandmother, my father, and 3 women that I grew up with/or worked for. I am passionate about teaching, history, art, reading and my family. Finally, I try (not always successfully) to live my life in a way that reflects my faith in God.
