77, Hudson, OHI like to take short trips, like to read, cook, watch TV, and meet friends and family for get togethers. I love cruises but I haven't been on one for the last few years.
40, Strongsville, OHHi, I've just returned to Ohio to take a job as reporter while I start my own freelance writing business. I've traveled quite a bit for both work and leisure, but I'm now more interested in enjoying time at home with the people that I love. I enjoy the outdoors, so if you like hunting, fishing, picnicing, gardening, or grilling, we'd have a lot to do together.
41, Independence, OHI've been on this site for well over a month now so I guess I've put off writing my bio long enough. So, here goes off the top of my head...l'll try not to ramble but I can't promise anything! :-) Even though I would never in a million years have guessed that I would still be single in my thirties, I truly believe that I am exactly where God wants me. So, I won't allow myself to despair but rather rejoice in the fact that although I have had many disappointments in my life, the joys have far outweighed them. And unless God takes away my desire for marriage and family, I'll do what's in my power to achieve it and put the rest in God's hands. So, here are a just few things about me. I love to laugh, dance and run...I'd do them all together if I could! I am very close with my family and try to spend as much time with them as possible...my niece and nephew have me wrapped around their grubby little fingers! I'm generally upbeat and happy even though my Cleveland sports teams are constantly trying to challenge me. Most importantly, I love the Lord and really want to continue to grow in my Christian faith every day of my life and would love to meet someone who shares the same desire.
66, Springfield, OHI am a practicing "cradle" Catholic, mother of 4 adult children (3 sons and one daughter), grandmother to 4, and retired from Federal Civil Service employment in the secretarial/administrative field. After almost 3 carefree years in retirement, I recently submitted my application to a placement agency. I asked to be considered for part-time work, with the expectations that I would expand my social contacts and keep my brain active. At almost 64 years of age, I have been single for 9 years following the annulment of my 31-year marriage. It would be wonderful to meet a Catholic guy who is also retired and would welcome the opportunity to share our Faith and have fun doing simple things - conversation over a good cup of coffee, watching a wholesome video, going on a picnic, day trips to take in the beauty of nature or something special the area has to offer visitors, etc. I thought I should explain two of my answers to the Faith questions. Regarding contraception, I feel that some barrier methods are acceptable. However, I strongly oppose any method that would prevent a fertilized egg from implanting in the womb. Currently, the Church only allows the ordination of men. In the United States we have a growing shortage of priests. In Springfield, OH, one parish (of five) has closed. Two others have joined. Sunday Mass is still offered in both locations, with one priest traveling between the two parishes on weekends. Next year two more parishes will join in the same manner - sharing one priest. I would like to see the Church consider the ordination of women and also allowing priests to marry.
29, Euclid, OHI'm a very positive person with a great sense of humor (quick wit). I teach choir and AP Music Theory at the high school level and absolutely love it! I spend a significant amount of my free time involved with musical activities, the Irish community, and my parish. I also love hanging out with my family and close friends, jamming once a week in an Irish session and walking the MetroParks. I am constantly dancing and singing-my motto is 'make every day a musical!' Other random things: I am extremely good with children. I am a 'big' girl but more fit than I may appear and currently shedding lbs weekly...yay! I run a few miles everyday along with other routines (back in the day I was a shot putter.) I love doing improvements on my house and really enjoy my neighborhood. I do not like/participate in many typical "girl" activities like shopping, getting my nails done, that kind of stuff (boring!) I'm currently making a pros and cons list for getting a trampoline...any thoughts? I am interested in a larger family but realize God's plan might be different from my own. I use a lot of exclamation points when I type because I am generally enthusiastic when I talk! I think communication is very important in a relationship. I am a good listener and I am not passive aggressive in my behavior. I have a strong work ethic.
45, Grove City, OHMy first passion is, of course, my faith since it is the foundation upon which all else rests for me. I am a Catholic convert as of Easter of 2015, so I am new to the faith but have fallen in love with it completely. I look forward to Mass every week and seek out additional opportunities to participate in church activities when possible. I am also passionate about my family. I have two lovely children who are my pride and joy. I am also very close to my parents, figuratively and geographically. We are a close family and spend lots of time together. I have been a teacher for over 20 years and see it as a calling for me more than a job. I am passionate about my classroom and the scholars that fill it each year. I currently teach Gifted learners and feel I have the best job in the world. I know I am blessed to be able to do something I love and get paid for it, to boot! Given my role as parent and teacher, both of which I adore, I spend looooots of time with children. While I wouldn't change this for the world, it leaves me longing for adult conversation and interaction. I love going out for coffee or for dinner and drinks with friends - enjoying intelligent conversation and humor. I love to see live music. Dancing is a passion of mine but, unfortunately, not so much a skill! I absolutely love games of all kinds, particularly chess, Scrabble, and my newly acquired love: Risk! I have been accused (falsely, of course) of being somewhat competitive...I think of it more as just a love of the game and a strong work ethic. (Although my heart does race just a tiny bit at the prospect of a win...) I greatly enjoy the outdoors. I love the peacefulness and beauty of nature and appreciate being outside. I like talking walks, coffee on the porch on a pretty morning, a glass of wine on the patio to end the day, or finding a quiet spot for enjoying a good book. I like time spent on the water. I love the sun and the nighttime sky. I always feel refreshed and relaxed after time spent outdoors. I am also very much a reader. Books make me happy and I especially love sharing them with others. Reading a well-written book and then discussing it among friends is heavenly. Lastly, I really like new experiences. I am curious by nature and find people very interesting. I welcome new opportunities to expand my horizons and am always up for a new challenge. Not in a competitive way...of course. :)
19, Massillon, OHHey there! One of the things I love most are books, especially fantasy/fiction books. I am passionate about writing, everything from books to poems to journal entries to letters, I just love putting words to paper. Another important thing to me is my family. I have a lot of siblings and we're very close. I also love children. I babysit for a few family friends and love working with them. I am currently double majoring in education and English at a Catholic university. The people who inspire me most are my friends and family because even when things get difficult, we work through it together. I just like to soak in life, so I am excited to do just about anything. From sports to board games to walks in the park to baking to movie nights. No matter what I'm doing, as long as I'm with friends, is fun! I am very blessed to have a supportive family and caring group of friends. I am looking forward to finding a man who can bring me closer to Christ and who will walk on the path of faith with me.
33, Fremont, OHMy faith is important to me, and I am blessed that I work at a parish. Music has always been a vital party of my life, and it gives me joy and fulfillment to use my God-given gifts to help and encourage others in worship. I love to read, scrapbook and be in nature. I would like to travel more - I have been to Ireland twice and it was amazing. My family and friends are important to me, and I spend a lot of my free time with them. I have a cat, but like dogs as well.
21, Youngstown, OHI am a graphic design major and my dream is to illustrate children's books. In my down time, you'll find me watching Marvel movies or snuggled up with a cup of tea and a book of fairytales. One of my favorite ways to de-stress is to spend time in nature hiking, kayaking, etc.
69, Aurora, OHI love ballroom dancing. I love the challenge of learning the correct method of the different styles. It also provides part of my exercise routine. I have always worked full time and enjoy my job so never have much leisure time. Taking care of my house, working in the yard planting flowers, feeding hummingbirds, love those hummingbirds. I have a good sense of humor and have fun playing cards and games with family and friends.
