I am fun loving, quirky & eternally young at heart! I like to laugh and my sense of humor can sometimes border on sarcastic, but not in a mean way. One could say I am a definite work in progress, and an open book. The old saying of "Faith, Family and Friends" probably best describes my priorities. I am shy till you get to know me and...that can take some time so please don't count me out after only 1 date! It takes me awhile to feel comfortable enough to let my true personality show. I can be quite funny without even meaning to! I am honest, loyal and generous to a fault. (Even though I am initially shy, I am a Lector at my church.) If you like the flashy, party type...keep looking - I'm not it. It is literally possible for me to get lost going around the block which makes my next statement really ironic. TRAVEL and learning about other cultures tends to be my passion. Of special interest are the ancient cultures of Rome and Greece. I'm a bit of an AVIATION and classic car fan, too. I also enjoy going to the theater and having an excuse to dress up. Snuggling on the couch watching movies by the fire can be just as fun. Another thing I find great pleasure in is spending time on the LAKE boating, tubing, riding the jet skis and swimming. I've been known to enjoy camping - as long as I don't have to put the tent up! Horseback riding and golf can be great activities, too. I've even done some rock climbing, parasailing and white water rafting - though not recently. I'm currently learning how to cook - and surprised by how much I enjoy cooking for someone else. Hiking has become a recent interest of mine, as well. Even though I was raised mostly in Tulsa, I am originally from Illinois so it goes without saying that I am a Cubs fan and a huge BEARS fan. I like to laugh a lot and am generally upbeat with a quirky sense of humor. "Talk to me Goose"......PLEASE don't expect me to read your mind. You are going to have to tell me EXACTLY what you're thinking! Well, that is me in a nutshell.

Hello, my name is Sara. I'm... well I don't know what I am. At times I'm laid back and want to simply watch the travel channel or history channel and at other times I want to go on a spontaneous adventure. I have a little boy who the best child a mother could ask for. He's so caring and so sweet. Um...I work at a hospital full time, babysit PRN, go to school full time and plan to major in History minor in Native studies. I then plan to get a Ph.D in mythology/archaeology. I'd like to grow stronger in my faith so far its a steady progression.

Hello there, Let me introduce myself to you. I am passionate about Christ, this beautiful life that he gave to all of us, family friends, work and play. God has placed amazing people in my life dear friends, bosses and people I have met through the Catholic church. During down time I love to cook, garden, read, learn new things and hang out.

I love to travel*, I read just about anything I can get my hands on*, I adore cooking*, and I love hanging out with my friends*. *travel: I have done and seen just about everything ordinary, so my travels nowadays need to be off the beaten path - wildlife sanctuaries or places of political strife have been my passion lately *reading: I am an avid reader, in any subject, and I will read almost any book, but if the book is awful or (worst of all) a nonfiction work poorly cited or historically unfounded, I will leave a bad review. *cooking: I enjoy it when I enjoy it. Sometimes, say at the end of a long day at work, it's the last thing I want to do - so if you're looking for the Susie Homemaker type, steer clear of me! *my friends: they are from all different parts of my life, all ages, nations, and creeds. I think each of my good friends is a wonderful person. Open-mindedness is an essential trait, when hanging out with me, and my crowd gets that!
  • Zoe, 46 from Oklahoma City, OK

    46, Oklahoma City, OK
I look very young for my age. I am someone who is very caring, compassionate, considerate, has a wonderful sense of humor, loves to make people laugh, can take a joke, and who wants to enjoy life. Exercise, eating healthy, watching my weight, leading a healthy active lifestyle, and never letting myself go no matter how old I am are very important to me. I am passionate about learning to speak more than one foreign language fluently and art. I know Spanish very fluently and French fluently, but I'd love to learn Chinese, and Japanese fluently as well. I look forward to marriage, being settled with my future, learning my languages, and spending time with my beautiful kitty "Jean", family, and friends the most. My family, my friends, teachers and peers have been the most influential in my life. During my leisure time I enjoy looking up stuff on the computer, learning foreign languages, swimming, dancing, and spending time with my cats, family, and friends. I also enjoy helping starving 3rd world countries overseas. Lastly, my childhood dreams have always been learning to speak a foreign language fluently, being an artist, and giving to the starving 3rd world countries.

I believe in celebrating life, recognizing human dignity, building relationships, fighting for equality, and seeking out God. In short: living out Catholicism :) I'm a big fan of singing and dancing spontaneously. I love dessert. Quality, deep conversations are my jam. I read quite a bit. I hiked the Camino 2 summers ago--it was amazing, obviously. I'm teaching reading at a TPS middle school. My goal is to work and live alongside the marginalized; to be pious, but not "safe". As Francis said,"a shepherd should smell like his sheep." In other words, I've been drawn to the Jesuits in recent years.

I am passionate about reality and find life intensely interesting. I love my Catholic faith, take time for prayer, and have always been interested in spirituality. My parish community is quite wonderful. I'm feminine, intense, analytical and definitely an intellectual type (PhD level--just never finished), a verbal processor, funny, loyal, sophisticated, happy with life. I love working out and try to get to the gym at least 4-5 times a week! My interests include cooking, entertaining, visiting with friends, opera, museums, the performing arts. I enjoy quiet time poolside during the summer. I build silence into my day for processing and prayer, and processing through prayer! I read widely--I still regard books as a place to go-- and since writing and words happen to be my gift, I actually LOVE writing. In fact, I'm almost never happier than when I am writing. I have a married son with a wonderful wife back east and two young grandkids, and in-laws I adore. I travel to visit them at least twice a year.

"Daily Scripture & Father Bob's Prayer WEDNESDAY IN THE OCTAVE OF EASTER APRIL 19, 2017 WEDNESDAY www.littleflower.org First Scripture Reading: Acts 3: 1-10 Gospel Reading: Luke 24: 13-35 VIEW DAILY SCRIPTURE The richness and power of Your risen presence comes to the poverty and impotence of our disabilities and disillusionment. Jesus, you are an enlightening stranger and a healing friend. You lift up our crippled spirits into the beautiful gate at the Temple of God's heart. You come into our disillusioned spirit and retell our story as the uplifting story of God's love. You are awesome in your resurrection. We know you in the breaking of the bread because you have retold and rewritten our story. You have gone to our depths and our hearts are burning. Please continue to come into the cracks, crevices and caves of our lives. Fill them and make them temples of your life. Thank you for your healing and freeing touch - and your enlightening presence." Amen!
