I truly love life! Joy is a word that is close to my heart; I hope to spread joy to those around me (don't get me wrong, I'm human and surely not perfect). I like to be busy and am a self-motivated person. I also enjoy reading a book, watching TV, and afternoon naps are amazing! I enjoy the outdoors, like a juicy steak, my favorite drink is a whiskey coke, and enjoy a nice glass of cab. I am a cheesehead by birthright (Go Packers!). I have heard women say they must work outside the home because they would be bored and they don't know what they would do with their time and I truly wonder about has always puzzled me and I've pondered this over the years. There are so many things that I would like to do or try; I imagine I could easily use 2 lifetimes to accomplish them! (What are you doing with yours?) ;) I am passionate about life and my beliefs. The adage, "You have to stand for something or you'll fall for anything" is very telling for me. It is important that the person I am with has his own opinion, even if that opinion is simply the opposite of whatever I think-just be sure you can back that up! :) It is good to be playful and not always take oneself so seriously. I love to laugh and am (almost) always smiling. Traveling is a passion of mine and moving 2100 miles has definitely been an adventure. People tell me that I am brave for moving across the country by myself but to me it really wasn't that big of a deal. It surprised me to learn that there are people who would not have even attempted such a move because the thought alone was scary to them. It never occurred to me this was something one might be nervous about doing. There are so many places to explore that I have never experienced before; I hope to continue to see the world. Something else interesting about me is that I like public speaking. It suites the part of me that enjoys teaching, and I believe that people are just people (so what is there to be afraid of?) who might find some value in things I have to share. I have a degree in Management-Entrepreneurship and received my MBA with honors. I have a long term goal of starting my own business and one day would like to own a Catholic store. I truly enjoy my Catholic faith and love to help others discover the beauty of the Church. I have been an RCIA team member in the past and miss this a lot. I want to have a family that is centered on God and that follows the teachings of the church.

I love our Lord more than anything and want to share that with a husband and to serve Him in a ministry that helps bring Heaven to Earth. I am very drawn to reverence and the Latin Mass. However, I am not one to take any Mass lightly - I am blessed to have a very peaceful spirit filled parish. Once a month there is an opportunity for a Sung Mass in Latin in a neighboring parish. I am a convert, I wasn't even Christian prior - so much of this is new, but it also gives me a bit of zeal and a spirit to do more. I read the Bible every morning and something that caught my attention in Acts was how often the word boldly was used. I find that many people are going through life on automatic pilot, or every apologizing for being Catholic! It was the Eucharist that brought me to the church and the Gospel of St. John, so being able to kneel and wear a veil at Mass is part of my obedience to these teachings. I love to read, study healthy living, play with my animals, and get together with friends. Going to inspiring movies, listening to Christian music, and dream about how I could update my house with found objects at thrift stores (not that I necessarily have time to put all these dreams into practice). I also collect vintage Catholic items like rosaries and prayer books.

I love living in the country, beer, camping, kayaking, knitting, and reading. Family and faith are important to me. I have a sarcastic sense of humor and love to laugh, but I am shy and reserved when meeting new people. I have a Bachelors in Natural Resources with an option in Sustainable Agroforestry. I work with a state Natural Resource agency, but am actively looking for more adventure in my life. I am interested in the farming and/or homesteading lifestyle, and would not consider myself well suited to big city dwelling.

I consider myself a very good woman. I am very honest, considerate, caring and giving. I know how to take care of my beloved ones. I give more than I could ever ask for. It is my nature to give more of myself than I take and to put those I care for in front of my own needs and wants. I am widowed. I lost my husband 10 years ago, but now I am ready to move on. Life should go on. I want to feel loved again, I need a man who can give me warmth and care, who can give me a shoulder to lean on whenever I need it, a man who will hold me when we sleep, telling me that I am here for you, everything is fine. I love you.
