    I am a young at heart widow who is greatful for all that God has given me. I have 2 wonderful grown-up children and five adorable grandchildren. I am a retired Reading Specialist and I love retirement, just taking one day at a time. I am spending more time with my grandchildren, walking and enjoying the beauty of nature. I'm a member of a fitness club try to work out 3 days a week. I like all kinds of sports and enjoy cooking up Italian specialities to serve to my friends. Right now I am keeping busy with several bible studies and helping at my parish, St. Kathrine Drexler in Mechanicsburg, PA. I am so happy Spring is here so I can work on my garden and landscape projects around my house. I was prompted to use this venue to meet a Catholic/Christian grandpa by my grandaughter. She thinks I need a friend so I don't have to go to dinner and the movies alone. Not just adorable , but thoughtful too! I told her God is the "Boss" so if he wants me to meet a friend he'll send one around.

    I am now a widow for the past 10 years and need to discover who I am again after 46 years of marriage. I enjoy the outdoors and walking in the fresh air. Would be interested in talking with people who may also be on a similar journey. My faith has been and continues to be my strength in life. At one time in my life I was an avid polka dancer and still enjoy polka music to this day. Preserving our ethnic heritage of Polish and Slovak traditions is important to me - and I have made sure that my daughters will carry on those traditions. At Easter, we continue to have our Basket Blessed and then eat out of the Easter Basket on Easter Sunday after mass. At Christmas, we continue to prepare and celebrate the sacred meal of Wigilia on Christmas Eve with Pirohi's - Babiki, Oplatiki, and Plapano - honey and garlic. All of my children live close by and we continue to cook together and share recipes.
  • Genny, 26 from Cranberry Twp, PA
    {%action_menu%}
    26, Cranberry Twp, PA
    My name is Genny, I am 26 years old, and I live just north of Pittsburgh, PA. I graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville in December 2011 where I rediscovered my love and passion for my Catholic faith. My family (Mom, Dad, and older brother) is extremely important to me and I am very close to them. They have been beside me every step of the way and have helped mold me into the woman that I am today. My friends are also very special to me because they encourage me, support me, make me laugh, and call me on to greater holiness. I absolutely love watching sports, especially football, hockey, and college basketball. I am a die-hard Pittsburgh sports fan (Penguins, Steelers, Pirates, in that order) but my college sports allegiance is and always will be to The Ohio State Buckeyes. I also love listening to music, as long as it is not country. Some of my other hobbies include reading, shopping, watching movies, and I'm a sucker for reality television. I am definitely a nurturer, so I am a good listener and I truly enjoy helping others. I definitely consider myself to be a "girly-girl." At first I may seem quiet and shy, but once you get to know me, you'll find out that I love to smile, laugh, and just have fun! If there is anything else you'd like to know, I'd love to hear from you :)

    My passions include the natural beauty that surrounds us "from sea to shining sea", faith, family, music, adventures and actively protecting all creatures that depend on us for their quality of life and well-being. I enjoy laughter, time spent on the beach or in the wilderness, dancing to the oldies, exploring new and old favorite places. My family has been most influential to me. I like to play tennis and I am a beginner golfer. My work-life stays at work as I cherish my private time and playing with my dog. I enjoy getting together with family and/or friends, bringing a yummy dish or two and having a fun time. I love preparing holiday feasts. Ultimately I want to become the "safe place to fall" for the man I love, be the comfort he needs and wants, a joyful retreat from the harshness of daily life, and be an inspiration for what he desires in the future and be the lover he always wanted. I am interested in a faith-filled, good man, one who will challenge me to be the best person I can be, he will be my comfort, my protector, my love, my safe place to fall and who will allow me to be the same for him. I enjoy dance, yoga, strength training, floor exercises, long walks, living life healthy.

    I am praying for my husband everyday and I truly believe he is out there somewhere!!! While I am serious about my commitments, my faith, and my work, I LOVE to laugh with friends! I am told that I am a "tiger" about fighting for what I want and that I am very compassionate and passionate in my approach to life. I am passionate about living a life in which I honor God, myself, and my family. No tricks, just pure honesty. I am a very dedicated 42 year old mom of two sweet boys. I teach school and am usually surrounded by children. At one time in my life, I used to be a stay-at-home mom. It was a fulfilling time in my life as a parent. Now I am a single working mom out of necessity. I enjoy my work, and work very hard, but I love my boys more. They are the reason I go on and give my life meaning. Finding a man who is truly interested in getting to know who I am and who my kids are so he eventually could be a wonderfully supportive and loving husband and a father figure for my boys, as I would try to be a good wife for him, is one of my daily prayers. I want it more than anything in the world, but I will NOT settle for anything less than true and passionate love sent to me by my heavenly Father. He knows who could fill this important role. Being on this site is one way of my saying "yes" to him and waiting for him to work here or elsewhere. I will talk with whomever writes me, and be polite, because that is how I was raised. Don't be shy! There is some merit to a pleasant conversation even if that is all it ever is. You never know until you try. :) Not that I don't enjoy receiving "likes" on my photos, but I would much rather have a chance to get to know you through some sort of conversation. Otherwise there is no way for us to make any connection. I am always kind and honest. No worries. Most influential people: My family & My church Leisure Time: Pardon my laughter here.....Single moms don't have a ton of this. I have gotten back into taking care of myself after finishing graduate school. I limit the sugar and exercise regularly. I attend church as often as I can...always on Sundays and on weekdays when I can. I am a regular cantor for my church, play the piano, and bake gluten free foods for my boys who have food allergies. Most of my time is spent doing things with them, but developing a personal life of my own now that I am done with grad school would be SO nice!

    I am a single parent to a 19 year old daughter that attends the University of Alabama. (Roll Tide) I have a Golden Doodle Dog that gets a lot of my attention now that I am an empty nester. I enjoy some of my free time at a family shore house at the Jersey Shore. I also enjoy traveling (especially internationally). Two years ago I had two exchange students from Italy and Chile and they are like my own sons . I have visited my exchange student in Italy and plan one day soon to visit my other exchange student in Chile. We all stay in touch with each other weekly. I love to golf and I want to start Yoga.

    I love simplicity and a thrifty life well-lived. As much as I love a good meal, I don't need a lot to be happy. I'm a bit of a hobbit: I like to be comfortable and warm and drinking either beer or tea. I am often quiet and storing up a lot in my heart, but around the right company I love to bust out my dry and sometimes brutal sense of humor. I am happy in a cozy living room, being in the dirt and grass outside, or drinking beer with the boys. I like to ride my bike or just hike and see where I end up. I read and write and think a lot, and will often draw away to do so. But I benefit from friends who will pull me out of my home and intro the woods or among the people with whom I belong. I am also a steady and loyal friend, so I go out of my way to make time for those close to me. I like to take care of people, and I love to take care of animals and babies. I perceive a vocation to family life. In building a home this way, I would like to offer the love of God to friends and strangers alike. I also percive a vocation to contribute in Catholic writing and publishing, and to communicate the life of faith to the heart of hungry people.

    58, Horsham, PA
    I am a kind, family-oriented person with a warm and caring personality. Although I have lived in two major metropolitan cities and have done some traveling overseas, I appreciate my suburban life and doing activities which include my family and friends. I like to watch sports and have volunteered at a few New York City marathons. As a member of my parish's chapter of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, I deliver food to local individuals and families in need. In addition, I support our brave men and women, in the U.S. military, by sending them cards and care packages. Currently, I work in elementary education and tutor 1st and 2nd graders. Although I find the job very rewarding, I look forward to focusing my time and energy on creating a nurturing home environment for a family of my own.

    My friends call me Vikki......I am easy going and extroverted, I enjoy being with people, doing anything or nothing but I can also just be home watching movies, eating chocolate fondue. I am a fun of the Golden state warriors and spend an incredible amount of time following the NBA. I also love to work with my hands, it gives me a lot of peace, so I am always cleaning, sewing, crafting, decluttering, cooking! My home is my creative distressing space!!! I like to swim, to be honest I like all things about water and the sea, I just have not had the opportunity to learn how to surf or sail yet, it's on my bucket list. And now living in Europe, I absolutely love to walk especially in the late evenings. I am striving each day to put my faith at the centre of my life! I have my ups and downs but I feel His tender never-ending pursuit, and each day I try to say YES! And I know everything happens for the good, for those who love Him, Omnia in Bonum!!
