I am a fun-loving, out-going, strong-willed, intelligent, extroverted chatterbox. Whenever I can, I meet up with friends or family to unwind. Travelling is my addiction, and I hope to see much more of Mother Earth.
I do have a quiet, feminine side. Among other things, I love to cook and bake, or curl up in front of a cozy fire with a good book or that special someone. I feel at home in the smallest town or the largest city, in a ballgown or in a t-shirt and jeans.
As each of us have only have one life, I am a firm believer of seizing the day and living without regret(s). Carpe Diem :)
I am told I'm very easy going and low-maintenance. I enjoy the simple things in life. I am surrounded by a great family and close friends and have a good career, all I'm missing is a partner to share my life with and start a family. I love children and have a great desire to be a mom. I'm quite shy when I first meet someone, but once I feel comfortable with you I come out of my shell... I even like to do a little karaoke.
In my spare time I like to swim, go for walks, hang out with friends and family, volunteer, read, and watch quite a bit of sports, especially baseball (Blue Jays), football (Riders) and some basketball. Most of all I like to learn more and about the faith and grow closer to God through prayer, reading, EWTN, participating in studies, etc. I love the Theology of the Body!
Update.....I'm back home again from London :) God has blessed me with a job on my return. In his infinite sense of humour, he has brought me a new challenge in a Band teaching position....yikes! It was daunting at first but I am enjoying the adventure and love making music with my enthusiastic students.
Ive grown up in a strong, solid Catholic family, so my views have always been very Christ-centered. I attribute much of my faith to my parents, who are great examples of living the Catholic faith. They have always supported me and my siblings in our faith, encouraging catechism classes and involvement in our parish. I have been blessed in so many ways by God and I have much to be thankful for.
I'm pretty easygoing and like to have fun. I love to learn and talk about many different things from politics to travel locations to psychology or the latest TV shows and social media. On this note, feel free to strike up a conversation and feel free to ask me more about myself and share a little about yourself.
I am loyal, honest, cheerful but moody person. I am currently work as engineer in a building material manufacture.
I enjoy travelling, and taking photos. But mostly i watch movies or doing gardening at my spare time.
My dad was the most influential person in my life, but he passed away already
Hi, I'm Laura! Close friends and family also know me as La or Lola. I can be shy and quiet at times but I also love to be around friends and try new things. As much as I love being around people and experiencing life, there are times when I feel overloaded and require some alone time at home to recharge before getting back out there.
I have recently discovered a love for dancing and have started taking beginner Salsa dance classes - it's a lot of fun! I was introduced to it this summer by a friend and it just goes to show how stepping out of one's comfort zone can be really rewarding.
I have never been in a relationship before. Yes, you read that right. I'm almost 34 and I have been single literally forever. Since I have been overweight for all of my adult life, I have built walls and held myself back and I didn't trust or believe that a guy would want me or be attracted to me when I didn't even like myself. 2016 has been a year of growth and change as I have finally started to lose weight and get healthy. I don't believe that someone has to be thin in order to be loved but I do think that we need to be able to love ourselves and I couldn't do that when I was always feeling gross and awful and sick and tired because of an unhealthy lifestyle. My life has changed so much in 2016 and I give all the glory to God for putting things in place to help me finally succeed with my health goals this year. I still have a long way to go but I trust in Him and I know that I will get there.
So, while my confidence has been given a boost and I believe in myself more than I did before, I still struggle with putting myself out there and those moments of doubt still creep up. In those moments, I try to remind myself that I am a daughter of a wonderful and loving Father and I am worthy of love and one day, someone will take the time to get to know me and give me time to open up.
Last but not least, I have two cats and I love them immensely. Fun fact: they are toilet trained so no cleaning the litter box for me. :)
Well where to begin...I am passionate about my faith, family/friends and living an active and healthy lifestyle. Some of the most influential people in my life are my family and close friends who have helped shape me into who I am today. Some of my favourite things to do in my spare time are spending time with family or friends, spending time outdoors, and being physically active. I love trying new things and am up for doing many different outdoor sports, hiking, camping, or anything that involves being outside :)
The activities that I get much enjoyment from are yoga, running, reading, golfing, paddleboarding (a newly discovered activity) and cross country skiing. Of course spending time with family and friends is so important. Travelling to new places feeds my soul and I hope to do more of that in the future. My faith is a very important and daily part of my life.
