I recently retired from a long career with the federal government. I enjoy exploring the Charleston area and now look forward to learning more about the rest of the state. I am a CPA and worked for the government as a Financial Manager. I have lived overseas and in Washington, DC and enjoy traveling for work and pleasure. When not traveling, I enjoy dining out, attending cultural events and museums, relaxing with friends and cooking. I'm a really good cook and do some great Italian dishes. When I can, I ski in winter and scuba dive. Altho I've got to say I'm not always wild about boats. I enjoy watching a good football game (something I rarely got to do living overseas) and other sports and like being active. Going to cultural events (plays, concerts, operas) is another pasttime I like to share with friends. Now that I have more time, I'm looking forward to meeting someone to enjoy the local area with and see what develops from there. After all my travels, I think it may be time to stay put. My faith is important to me and I make an effort to practice it wherever I am. I hope I peaked your interest to know more.

Hello, I'm glad you stopped by to visit. I am a 62 year old woman who had been married for 24 years and divorced now for 10 years. I have had plenty of time to straighten myself out!! :) I have a career and sometimes work long hours. I volunteer, when I can, at a dog rescue and have adopted three Senior poodles. I have three beautiful, professional adult children and was used to a lot of noise and activity in the house. My three joyful furbabies have filled that empty space in my life. There are other spaces in my life, I would like to fill, like companionship, providing comfort and to be comforted, easy laughter and happiness with another person.

Since my husband died 3 years ago, I have become somewhat of a homebody because i dislike doing things alone. I enjoy family game nights with a big bowl of butter pop corn with parmesan cheese; or a bag of crunchy Cheetoes. i like board games, cards and dice. I like to read. i don't have a favorite author but have read VC Andrews, Jean Auel, JK Rowling, CS Lewis and Tolkien to name a few. i like to travel around our great country by car. road trips, near and far, are an awesome way to spend time together as well. i have 2 chihuahua's which keep me busy as well as one child who lives in another state. I also like to take walks, spend time at museums, zoos and parks and drives through the country. All in all, i am ready now to start living again. I want to quit being a homebody and get out of the house and embrace the time God has given me. I am NOT a fan of water or water sports of any kind nor do i like to fly.

I am an honest, caring & kind, compassionate person. I also am a very devout Catholic. I like doing volunteer work mainly in the non-profit area. Since I am recently widowed I am starting a new life again. It is difficult at times as I am 74 and I don't think you bounce back as quickly when you are older. I love to travel. I also like playing cards. I used to golf, play tennis, bowl, and camping. I was my husband's caregiver for 5 years so many of my activities were limited. Last fall I was named the AARP's South Carolina's #1 Caregiver. That was quite an honor. Senator Tom Young presented me with my award at a reception in my Church.

I look forward to a new chapter in my life as I recently became a widow. I believe life has much to offer, and I am passionate about finding someone in the future to share my life with. God has something in store for us aside from charity and volunteering work. There's a great big world out there to explore, different cultures, places, etc. I want to be happy, enjoy my life and share it with someone I love and my family. My parents have been very influential, especially my mother. She was very nurturing, teaching me right from wrong, morals and scruples and being a proper lady. I enjoy travel tremendously. I like zumba, bike riding, church, getting together with friends, visiting family, reading when I get a chance, antiques, walking on the beach, tubing in Texas, looking at great scenery and views, cruises, etc,

Family is very important to me. I adore my grandchildren, and love having family time. I have a lively circle of friends, most of whom are RC, and apart from socialising regularly, we holiday together once a year. Love getting to the sun and exploring new places, but also love coming back to Scotland.

Thanks for stopping by to read my profile. I am a mother to 3 sons, all grown up and on their own with their families. I would like to find a friend, a companion, a life partner. I don't want to grow old alone. I need someone in my life to share what life has to offer. I enjoy cooking but prefer to cook for 2, not just 1. If you like to share with me your cooking skills, I would appreciate any help. Grilling your forte , then go with it $ I'll provide the steaks! Do you like to dance? Well, meet me for a slow dance at Woody's on a Thursday or Friday night. If you like music, but are afraid to dance, I could teach you some steps. Former ballet and tap instructor and ballroom dancer. Would love to step out with a man on my arm.
