I grew up on a farm in a large Catholic family. I like to go out to movies, theatre, plays, dinner, dinner parties or just to hang out with friends. I enjoy going new places and meeting new people. I celebrate my Irish and German backgrounds by attending festivals in the summer. My friends would say I have a great sense of humor, a big heart, and a beautiful singing voice. I love children! I love to travel. I am involved with my church.

I was born and raised Catholic in a small town in Iowa. My father is a deacon in the Catholic church. I love musicals, baking, American history, and politics. I've been told I'm a real outside of the box thinker. I love games. I've created scavenger hunt style games for baby showers, Christmas parties, and just for the fun of it. I'm an aunt of four (3 nephews, 1 niece) and love being Auntie Jenny!

I'm currently working at a university in South Dakota and am singing and teaching on the side. Other than my faith, my greatest passion is music. God has given me such a great gift and love for singing, and it's a gift that I try to share as humbly as I can. While I might have some potential to have a solo career, that in itself has never been my main goal. I want to learn how to lead people closer to God through music. I have a vocal performance degree, and I might get my MM degree a little later, but that's not my primary focus right now. I've been doing a lot of discernment lately, and am learning to put my entire trust in God, so that He may guide me wherever I'm meant to go in this life. Outside of work, I stay pretty occupied between singing in different ensembles, some league and intramural sports, community theatre, and hanging out at the Newman Center on campus. It's truly a blessing that we have a chapel open to us 24/7/365. When I'm actually at home, which is not very often, I love watching movies. I've got a crazy collection that spans almost every decade of film, and every genre (though admittedly-I'm not a huge fan of the overall "romantic comedy" category...). I watch some Netflix as well, but I watch little to no cable. I hate reality TV. Of course, it's rather hard to sum up my life in a few short paragraphs, but all that really matters is God. He is my refuge and strength. Without Him, I am nothing.

With retirement rapidly approaching in a few months, I look forward to whatever adventures that may present. Several activities I currently engage in will still be very important to me. Those being taking care of my health through exercise and good nutrition, volunteering, bicycling, walking/hiking, theater, reading, home projects and maintaining good friendships. Others I hope to add would be daily Mass and daily Adoration. My faith is part of my daily life and is the most important area of my life. We are all composed of 3 facets: physically, emotional & spiritual. When the spiritual is healthy, the other two fall right into place. I live in a development of modest twin homes. An association provides lawn & snow removal services which allows me to come & go as I wish. Hopefully, out of some of the cold during the winter months. :) This, also, allows me more resources to share with those less fortunate. I am active as an Extraordinary Minister, Sacristan, Lector and weekly Adoration.

I am a positive person who enjoys life every day. I love my work and consider it an honor to go there every day. My kids are all in the area and are very important to me. I love to travel and experience new places....near or far.I have lived in several states but have called SD home for about 15 years now. I like to be outside as much as possible. My dad was probably the most influential person in my life. He was an honest good man. I like to take long walks in the evenings with my beloved pooch!!

Hello! :D When I first meet people, I come off as shy, sweet, and polite, and it can take a little while for me to warm up to someone. But once I feel comfortable around someone, I can be kinda crazy (good crazy). I like to be playful and tease my friends. My sister tells me that I have a unique sense of humor. I feel like I often have a childlike sense of wonder. I'm usually pretty laid back about stuff, but if something goes against something or someone that's important to me, my redhead temper flairs up and I can be very passionate in defending whatever it may be. I like doing spontaneous things and going on adventures. Sometimes, though, I need a bit of a push to get me out of my comfort zone. I like to be able to have good conversations about life, theology, the universe, etc. I like to go out and appreciate nature-I could stare at the sky forever. I enjoy spending time with my family as well.

Hi! I'm a single mom, with one child and a golden retriever. I love being a mom and my family is my main focus in my life. I work for people with disabilities, and I love my job. I love to travel, take pictures and scrapbook. My degree is a BA in English literature, and I'm an avid reader, of almost every genre. I read at least 4-5 books a week, love discovering new favorites. I like a wide variety of music, I always like to have something playing. I'm also a huge movie fan, although I have a weakness for horror movies. My all time favorite movie is It's a Wonderful Life, followed by the Blair Witch Project. I would like to meet my true love, and I believe he is out there!

I have many passions in my life. My faith and my family of 5 daughters and their families are at the top of the list. Since my husband died 7 years ago, I've pursued several interests from throughout my life, such as writing poetry, joining a writing group, becoming involved with a small faith-sharing group and a contemplative prayer group, and reading in the area of astrophysics. I love to read in general and usually read a couple of books a week. My traveling abroad has included France and Italy, and I would like to do more. I like traveling in the U.S. also, which I can do in visiting my daughters in OR (2 of them) and Denver. I have another daughter in TX but have not yet visited her. Three years ago, I drove to west central MT for a vacation trip. My past careers have been teaching at the college level, directing the state food bank, executive director of the Hereditary Colon Cancer Association, and director of a small diocesan retreat center. I've come full circle in teaching by tutoring a couple of teenagers (they're both home schooled) and a woman in college, all of them in writing skills.

I love spending time with friends and family! I love to watch movies, hike, play board & card games. I adore my 2 nephews and 1 niece and can't seem to ever find enough time to spend with them. I love to laugh! My family has been hugely influential in my life--- their unconditional love has sustained me. I also have a great close circle of friends who aren't afraid to tell me the truth which is a great blessing. I also have a great spiritual director, who does his best to keep me on the straight and narrow. One priest in particular has hugely impacted my life and invest so much time and love into helping me on my walk with the Lord!

Hey what's up? I'm Amanda! :D I love hanging out with friends and family, baking, running, reading fantasy and classics, tennis, going on walks, shopping, and traveling! I'm a senior studying Theology and Philosophy in Bismarck, ND. I may be going onto further schooling, but I'm not sure yet what God has planned for me. I'm quiet in big groups of people, but am really talkative one on one (especially face to face!) so I prefer to get to know people that way on a more personal level. I love to smile and have any excuse to laugh! I prefer vanilla ice-cream over chocolate and I would likely prefer classic Disney movies over any other movie (unless its a good fantasy maybe). Most importantly, I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for my Catholic faith and my personal relationship with God where I have found my peace. If you'd like to know more, just ask :)

My family and friends that I met at the Newman Center at SDSU have been most influential in my life. They are helping me to become the best version of myself and challenge me to grow in trust in the Lord, as well as helping me laugh when I take myself too seriously and lifting me up during difficult times. I enjoy playing piano and singing and help out where I can with accompaniment at school, church, and the nursing home. I love to bake and cook for my own enjoyment but especially to share with others. Writing people letters and playing cards/games with family and friends is also a great pastime. I delight in walking and taking in the beauty of God's creation.
