Cherished, loved and honored by God. Being secure in this love helps me to unite my joy and suffering to Jesus in a redemptive way. Surely, the more one is in tune with this, the more perfectly one is able to love, in all the different ways: Agape, Eros, and Filial. My church and prayer group friends are important. My intention is to catch up on all those great spiritual books I have. I love to go to daily Mass when possible; Lunch with friends; Line dance at the Senior Center; and attend dance lessons, ie: Round and Western Square Dance; Contra; some ballroom like simple Swing and Waltz for socialization and exercise. I love a good festival with crafts and music in the spring or fall. Or dress nicely and attend the symphony. Love the ocean & mountains. Haven't been to Europe yet still intend to, but just happy with an old Cary Grant movie, a mocha coffee, my dog and a few friends. Really I have had varied interests. I learned a little canoeing. Love to work in clay and fiber arts. Stopped at a sheep farm once & sheared a sheep. Spun the wool ,Made a scarf for my son. I can draw and paint, & quilt. I have hiked all the Smoky Mtn. trails. enjoyed camping and white water rafting in my earlier days. Each of us has quality people right in our own backyard. we just wonder about that "special someone" don't we? Our hearts are just gonna be restless till we rest in The One who knows & loves us and is with us ALWAYS. He directs our paths, and even introduces us to some special friends along the way. God Bless.

Hi! I'm known for my warm, friendly smile and a pleasant disposition. I like to laugh and be silly because I am a kid at heart, but serious when I need to be. Having a bit of a sweet tooth, I enjoy baking and then sharing it others. I give my all to what I do because I only know one way to serve and that is whole-heartedly. I love music and art, dabbling in both when I can. I enjoy good coffee a well as comforting tea. I like a good walk in the park, squishing my feet in the sand, and almost always have a plan.

People tell me that I'm witty and extremely intelligent. All I know is that I love to laugh and I can be a bit goofy. - sexy goofy. I prefer to get to know my match as a friend first. I'd like to settle down with one person, but I will not settle. I also want friendships first to avoid anyone getting hurt. As far as intelligence goes, I know what I know and that's about it! I have a thirst for knowledge, especially medicine. This is probably due to the fact that my father was a pioneer in the field of radiology. As an M.D. He brought the first MRI machine and the first CAT scan to the entire mid-south, against the support and the belief of his fellows and the hospital. Sometimes I feel as though I missed my calling. I'm an advocate for alternative medicine and natural healing. I started a non-profit recently, of which I am the president, called the Chronic Refief Fund. You can find it, and thus myself, on Facebook, as I do not have a full membership yet. My greatest flaw is also my greatest asset; I care too much about people. My passions are horses and songwriting. I have a BA in communications with a focus in theater. I prefer to meet someone with a college degree or, at least, some one who attempted college. It's a useless but fun degree. I am excited about being a vegan but I believe to each his own. Because I care about my physique and keep myself in shape, I'm looking to find a partner who is also in shape. - not overweight. Although I love some aspects if Catholicism; (I am currently in the middle of a Rosary Novena, as I LOVE our blessed mother. I also enjoy worship in mass but I am not a regular.) Because of my insatiable need for Truth, I have become more of an esoteric student of all religions, including Roman Catholicism. I find it much more fascinating. Even though I live in Memphis, I'd much rather live somewhere else. I prefer to settle down in a warmer climate, such a San Diego, or South Florida, or even Austin Texas, one day, or at least become a snow bird. I also consider myself a bit refined, (when I want to be), and reasonably well traveled. My 17 year old dog is my only child and he goes everywhere with me. I hope we all find our special someones. That's it for now. Happy trolling!
  • Udo, 31 from Nashville, TN

I am passionate about one thing - living a good full life. And that involves building a great family with children that are raised in the Church and raised to be good people, doing what I love professionally (science!), and finding a great partner to share all of these life experiences. I was born and raised in Nigeria, left when I was 17 for school in Canada and am now pursuing my doctoral degree in Biology. I have always loved science and for me, the things I am learning as a scientist only serve to reinforce my faith. I mean, when you actually learn details about how the human body works and about human development, you know that there are forces far greater than us at work. I do love getting new experiences although I am not highly adventurous i.e. an adrenaline junkie. Simple things like trying out a new restaurant/sampling a different type of cuisine or traveling to an exotic location are the sort of new experiences that I do not mind having. I have been lucky to have a few influenial people in my life. My family, especially my father, have taught me the importance of faith. In my lesiure time, I do not mind curling up with a good book or a great TV show/movie. I also enjoy cooking; my mother is a great cook and I like to think she taught me a few great tricks.

I love traveling, doing outdoor activities, going to broadway shows/converts/movies and spending time with family and friends. I am active and enjoy many activities, including yoga, skiing, swimming, hiking and white water rafting to name a few. I have 10 year old twin boys and they are energetic, kind and goofy at times.

I am pleased to have found catholicmatch, especially at this time in my life. I am a "new Catholic." I wish I had found it sooner. My life has been so blessed since my confirmation 2 years ago. I guess you could say I'm at a crossroads. My children are all on their own and I'm ready to start the next chapter of my life. I'm retired, but involved with my parish, enjoy reading, watching some television, going for nature walks with my Cavalier dog, visiting with friends/family, and going to movies/theatre. Prior to becoming an apartment-dweller, I enjoyed gardening. I would enjoy traveling more in the future and fulfilling some dreams. I would have to say that my parents have had the most influence on my life, always being supportive and encouraging. At 88 years old, they are always there for me. I currently enjoy helping my daughter with her 5-mo-old son, my first grandchild and am seeking out volunteer opportunities in my Parish and in the community.

I am fun loving, easy going, and always make an effort to look for the good in others. I enjoy traveling to interesting destinations and am spontaneous when given the opportunity to try something new. Hiking, tennis and golf are some of my favorite outdoor activities. In addition, I enjoy dining out at favorite restaurants, going to concerts and the theater, and spending time with friends. I am quite content however being at home, where I enjoy cooking, watching a good movie, or just relaxing. My two grown children are my pride and joy and I always look forward to spending time with them. I am seeking someone who is young at heart and has similar interests.

Just checking this out, not interested in meeting guys at bars anymore. I am a chemical engineer selling water treatment chemicals and have a somewhat time demanding job. I love being outside & am very active. Converted to Catholicism in 2014, went to Catholic school growing up and my father's family is Catholic so converting felt like I was just "making it official."
