74, San Antonio, TXI am and will always be a Texas gal at heart. I also have a deep and abiding love for those Aggies! My husband, son and daughter all graduated from Texas A&M; so, how could I not love A&M? I lost my husband in 2006 after 43 years of marriage. It has been a struggle learning how to be "single"; but I am tough and learning that a wonderful God has my back. I am an eleven year cancer survivor and winning that battle has taught me how to survive other challenges life has thrown in my path. I do not take credit. Here again the good Lord has helped me and made me aware of the many blessings He has given me. Family means everything to me. Mine includes a son (Michigan) and a daughter (Spring) who I introduce as my "Mother/Daughter. My four grandsons keep me thrilled and entertained and give me reason to continue to appreciate life. I have enjoyed trips to Australia, New Zealand, Italy, South Africa, Alaska, Spain, Portugal, and several cruises. The last cruise was through the Panama Canal. Most of my career was spent teaching elementary and middle school students; but, later in my career I was an educational consultant working as such in San Antonio, Florida, Georgia, Alabama and Louisiana. I love the parish to which I belong. I attend and thoroughly enjoy Bible study. I also volunteer as an usher at weekend Mass. The friends I have made there mean so much to me. The individual I may find on this site should be deeply involved in the Catholic faith and I would hope we could enhance each other's faith. As I scan "matches", I immediately delete those with no pictures. That says to me that there is something to hide. You have probably surmised, I "pull no punches" and expect pure honesty in return. If interested, leave me a message. Blessings to you.
67, San Antonio, TXI am 66 years old, mother of 5 grown adults, on there own, a grandmother of 12, but not your typical granny! My passion is dancing, I love music, reading, writing and exercising, and playing with my grandkids. I enjoy reading, one of my favorite book is The Law of Attraction, The Bible, and Everyday Karma. I also like reading and writing poetry, and my other passion...is my love for animals! I consider myself a loving and caring person very patient understanding, and honest. I do not like people that play games with peoples feelings. I like a person to be honest, caring, understanding, and like to dance and likes animals. I'm a romantic person, I like roses, holding hands, walking down the riverwalk, or going to the movie theater, or just taking a ride to see the country site.
60, San Antonio, TXI love the outdoors and am adventurous. Hiking on Saturday mornings with my yellow Lab is the best, but only after a cup of French Roast. When I lived in Austin, I was on a rowing team (in an "8"), and loved nothing more being on the water, oars set and ready, by 5:30 am. I recently traveled to the North Carolina mountains and bought a dulcimer that I'm learning to play. I like red cardinals, the Cubs, March Madness, good art and therapy dogs. During the week I'm a CFP for a large company and I help people manage their money. I love the mental challenge, but when I'm home, I want nothing more than to soak up the peace and quiet or be outdoors. My three children are grown, and are the most awesome individuals I could ever hope to meet. My cup is full.
64, San Antonio, TXI am enjoying being retired............I simply love having more time to pursue some long awaited wants............I'm able to practice yoga at least three times a week, attend daily Mass and Communion, dig in my garden, cook fun meals, read and take dancing lessons. I relocated to San Antonio about 5years ago to be near my two sons and their families. Since then my younger son attended medical school in Poland, and I was able to visit him annually. I'm also enjoying spending time with my other son and his family here in San Antonio.

77, New Braunfels, TXWhat I miss most about losing my husband is not having a traveling companion... and hugs; not having someone to turn to and discuss something, spur of the moment. I try to learn something from each new person I meet. I'd like to travel more - Europe, Mediterranean, Hawaii, Jamaica, other islands. I greatly enjoy digging around in my yard, crosswords; grandkids; visiting with my 3 sons, (the greatest daddies I know); water exercises, walking, yoga, lifting weights. My heroes are my parents, hard-working German ancestry. I'm one of 7 children.
63, San Antonio, TXI am a passionate person in most of my interest. Teaching and learning are foremost in this area. Like so many, I am passionate about my family. But more than this, I believe I am a kind, sincere person , who enjoys what life has to offer.
