I am and will always be a Texas gal at heart. I also have a deep and abiding love for those Aggies! My husband, son and daughter all graduated from Texas A&M; so, how could I not love A&M? I lost my husband in 2006 after 43 years of marriage. It has been a struggle learning how to be "single"; but I am tough and learning that a wonderful God has my back. I am an eleven year cancer survivor and winning that battle has taught me how to survive other challenges life has thrown in my path. I do not take credit. Here again the good Lord has helped me and made me aware of the many blessings He has given me. Family means everything to me. Mine includes a son (Michigan) and a daughter (Spring) who I introduce as my "Mother/Daughter. My four grandsons keep me thrilled and entertained and give me reason to continue to appreciate life. I have enjoyed trips to Australia, New Zealand, Italy, South Africa, Alaska, Spain, Portugal, and several cruises. The last cruise was through the Panama Canal. Most of my career was spent teaching elementary and middle school students; but, later in my career I was an educational consultant working as such in San Antonio, Florida, Georgia, Alabama and Louisiana. I love the parish to which I belong. I attend and thoroughly enjoy Bible study. I also volunteer as an usher at weekend Mass. The friends I have made there mean so much to me. The individual I may find on this site should be deeply involved in the Catholic faith and I would hope we could enhance each other's faith. As I scan "matches", I immediately delete those with no pictures. That says to me that there is something to hide. You have probably surmised, I "pull no punches" and expect pure honesty in return. If interested, leave me a message. Blessings to you.

I am single with an adult son - I work hard and like to work out and give thanks to god for my good health and that I have a decent job. I am looking for that special man to spend the rest of my life with. Someone who shares my likes, dislikes, and religous up bringing. Do want to be good friends first and see where this might take us. I LOVE to dance: tejano, salsa, merengue , disco & country - so you need to know how to dance or willing to learn. I love animals and have a dog - who is like my other son now that my son is grown. I try to help people in need whenever I can and my special patron saint is St. Jude. I like festivals and beaches and just have a large variety of interest from museums to Fiesta here in San Antonio. I have lived here since 1992 but am originally from Temple, Tx. So if you like to have fun and enjoy life without a lot of drama maybe we can talk. I also have my elderly mother that lives with me as she can no longer live alone. Update : No longer have the dog. Unfortunately, my mom got sick and went to be with the lord but she in now reunited with other loved ones.

I am 66 years old, mother of 5 grown adults, on there own, a grandmother of 12, but not your typical granny! My passion is dancing, I love music, reading, writing and exercising, and playing with my grandkids. I enjoy reading, one of my favorite book is The Law of Attraction, The Bible, and Everyday Karma. I also like reading and writing poetry, and my other passion...is my love for animals! I consider myself a loving and caring person very patient understanding, and honest. I do not like people that play games with peoples feelings. I like a person to be honest, caring, understanding, and like to dance and likes animals. I'm a romantic person, I like roses, holding hands, walking down the riverwalk, or going to the movie theater, or just taking a ride to see the country site.

My husband called home to our Lord 26 years ago. Family is very important and I instilled this gift to my 3 sons. They are now married and out of the home. I feel that I am ready to share the rest of my life with a gentleman that is passionate about church and its beliefs. I still work and my leisure time is spend with my grandkids and I like to watch Novelas. The most influential people in my life have been my parents and now my kids and grandkids. I haven't dated in years therefore going out with a gentleman I believe would be a bit nervous. But I am willing to let time take its course.

This has been one of the biggest steps I have had to take since my husbands death a little over a year ago. How is it possible that at 68 I am still looking for love? Or is it more the companionship and friendship of a man that I seek? Or is it someone to share special moments with, to share random thoughts with, to discuss a book with, to walk on the beach with, or someone to just sit comfortably with and enjoy each others company? So many questions? I just know that we only live once and I for one want to live life to the fullest. I am a happy, positive, energetic person. My husband always told me that I was the only women he ever knew that always woke up happy and singing (albeit off tune). Life is way too short to have any regrets. My daily mantra is Learn from yesterday, Live for today, Hope for tomorrow, Laugh as much as you breathe, Love as long as you live, LIVE LOVE LAUGH! The basics are in my profile, but suffice to say for now is I am a registered nurse, and work as a Legal Nurse Consultant. I still work part time from home. I decided recently to volunteer at the local hospital one day a week because I was beginning to feel like I had lost my purpose. I have truly enjoyed the volunteer work. I love to read, cook, travel, anything on, in, or by the water and spending time with friends and family. I am very independent and very competitive. I love to play games like trivia, card games etc. and I like to win I love Texas Hold em poker and play whenever I get the chance. I love Las Vegas, and go whenever I can. I also love to watch professional football, but know that I am a Houston Texan fan and hate The Cheater, aka Patriots! So I believe this is enough to either scare you away or give you a glimpse of who I am so you might want to get to know me better. There is so much more to tell, I have been around a long time. I read something recently that said, One life, just one. Why arent we running like we are on fire towards our wildest dreams.
