Things are not always as they seem - the cover of the book, the description of one’s personality and traits…and family situation. God has a way of making His Will be done…and I've realized lately that God really DOES have His reasons for things and we can question and push all we want, but it won't change His timing or intention...of course, that's something that you always KNOW, but when you actually realize it, it's different.
While never married, I’ve recently been blessed with a child to care for – my nephew. He is such a joy and blessing – and a handful! Watching him grow and develop has been so wonderful – and a testament to God’s creation and power. Truly amazing. I want so much for him – but not the physical things – the stability and unconditional love of family, the faith and balance that belief brings…
…and for me, I've always wanted to find the kind of love and devotion that my parents have to each other and to their faith...I know having it is harder than it looks, but finding it is even harder!
So what do you want to know about me? What kind of person I am? Let's see...I actually used to be a lot more introverted than I am now, possibly because nursing doesn't leave a lot of room to be shy and reserved! I swear, I've never been so comfortable asking people insanely personal questions in my life! ;-) Anyway, that doesn't mean I'm promising to be a paragon of eloquence, especially when it comes to initiating a conversation with men I find potentially intriguing. My curse. C'est la vie.
What else? I love my family--I have the best one! I have six amazing niblings (great word, right?) who mean the world to me, a horde of chickens bent on world domination, and a drama queen of a Doberman. I don't suppose I really fit any particular molds. I am (or...can be) ladylike, and value etiquette and manners in both sexes. But in the interest of honesty, if you're looking for a submissive woman who will defer to you in all things at the expense of her own judgment and good sense, that's not me. Look elsewhere. I won't be that woman for you. I believe relationships are a partnership of equals (but not "identicals").
I'm not a feminist, certainly not in the rabid sense, but I have an independent spirit. I'm almost always busy with something or other, and I love people, but I also need time to be quiet, alone, and in peace. I like getting dressed up for an evening out, but am just as happy staying home for a movie or the big game. I'm an animal lover and I try to have a green thumb, with ambiguous success. I love to travel. I'm well-educated but I'm not a snob about it--I mostly just love to learn new things. I don't expect everyone to be like me, and it's not all that important to me how many letters someone has after their name.
I enjoy spending time outdoors, especially biking and hiking. I'm a terrible runner but I want to get better. And...autocorrect just fixed my typo of "better" for "beer," which, I suppose "I want to get beer" can be equally true too. Depends on the brew. ;) Anyway, I think some of the best times are just hanging out with friends around the fire or around the grill, with good food and good conversation and plenty of laughter. Oh, but I can bake like a grandma. Eh...you know. A grandma who can bake...;-)

I'm passionate about people - my family, my friends, and people that I encounter every day. I love being able to spend time with those that I love wherever that is, whether on the back porch or the great outdoors. With my free time, I like to explore - whether that's learning something new - like playing the piano - or finding new places- like a hiking trail. I also enjoy listening to live music. I enjoy reading and discussing books. I've been part of a book club for the past three years. Some of my favorites have been: Gilead, Persuasion, Silence, Confederacy of Dunces, The Idiot, and The Book Thief.
I'm from the lovely state of Texas, but currently attending Benedictine College in Kansas studying Evangelization and Catechesis (Youth Ministry). I'm terrible at short answer, love Buzzfeed, and might be addicted to Netflix.
I am a California native that came to Texas to study Theology. I enjoy the great outdoors, margaritas and hanging out with my friends. When I am not drinking margaritas you will find me drinking a nice cup of coffee. What is life without coffee?
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my profile. I was born in Vermont and spent most of my summers in Rhode Island so I love the beach. Most of my family lives in New England which is absolutely beautiful. I am a cradle Catholic looking to renew my faith and spend time with people who share the same background as myself and possibly meet my best friend.and/or more I plan on becoming much more involved with my faith and the Church. I am very spiritual and pray daily, often throughout the day.
My family is very important to me and I would do anything in the world for them. I do have an adult daughter that I adore. She is amazing.
My faith in God has helped me through the years. I have experienced God's compassion and a few miracles along the way and I would love to share that blessing.
I do enjoy travel, reading, laughter, the outdoors, ballet, museums and so many other pursuits when I am not working or with family and friends. I love animals, especially dogs, and currently have a bird that has been a blessing.
Single mother of two wonderful children, one resides with me and the other lives in Minnesota. Love my family dearly. I'm easy going and love to have fun. Hobbies include movies, art galleries, museums, historical sites, and dining out.
Hello! I'm very passionate about taking care of the people around me-whether they're my customers or my friends. I love to make people laugh and I absolutely love kids. Dancing recharges my spirit, though I don't get to do it often. Reading and watching movies are two of my favorite pastimes, as are cooking and baking. I've just started getting into running in the last few months and I'm loving it! I'm hoping to run my first 5k this April. Ultimately, I'm the happiest when I'm sitting on a patio surrounded by good friends and a bottle of wine. My family has, without a doubt, been the greatest influence on my life. They are the best!
I was born and raised in a small town in South Texas, but moved to Dallas for college and liked the area so I decided to stick around. Friendship and family mean everything to me.
I am a consultant and travel for my job which can be tough meeting new people.
I am Catholic and believe that having a similar faith based relationship makes it that much stronger. I would like to meet someone that I can carry a meaningful conversation with and sometimes not so meaningful.
- Very much a "glass is half full" type person (sometimes to a fault)
- Enjoy the outdoors
- Witty and sarcastic
- Appreciate the finer things in life but also enjoy the simplicity of it as well
- Willing to try new things at least once
- Terrified of sharks, but would like to feed them from an ocean cage
- Can have fun doing just about anything
- Athletic and Competitive
- Goofy and random
- Friendly and loyal
- Nerd at times
- Can run in heels
What I'm looking for is someone...
- With similar morals and religious beliefs
- Who is not afraid to laugh at themselves sometimes
- Who wants and values family
- Who is confident and self-motivated
- Who likes to dance
Anything else? Just ask.
One of my favorite accomplishments: Once in a talent show, a friend and I "gargled" a duet to the song "A Whole New World" from Aladdin. Sister Bethany Madonna from the Sisters of Life was there and she laughed until she cried. (#squadgoals)
Being Catholic is the most important aspect of who I am. I also think its necessary to engage our culture on many levels, so I like to cultivate hobbies and circles of friends both inside and outside the Church. My favorite thing to do is have a good conversation, and I love getting to know what makes people tick.
I am type "A" and I usually have about 4 lists going at any one time including my 30 Before 30, a list of things I want to do before I turn 30. I love having people over for dinner and I like to cook. I try to read at least 2 books per month because I love how much you can learn about history and the human condition through literature. I have a no frills corporate job and I work with men who take themselves very seriously, so I like to have slow weekends with lots of football and long leisurely brunches (outside, weather permitting).
I like to play golf (I'm awful), bake new things, and have thought provoking conversations. My egregious use of parenthetical remarks in this section is only rivaled by the amount in my blog.
I am passion about my family and my faith. I enjoy being exposed to new and different places, activities etc. I enjoy reading, working out, spending time with my family. In the summer I enjoy bike riding and going for long walks. I also enjoy going out dancing.
I am looking forward to meeting someone that has similar interests and wants to travel and does not want any kids...
Hi there :) Originally from Ohio, moved to Dallas ~2 years ago. I love hanging out with friends and family. I'm extremely bubbly and will do anything I can to put a smile on your face! [?] I look forward to finding someone who is serious about a relationship. Divorced, going through the annulment process as we speak!
