30, Grand Prairie, TXI am heading into my 8th year of teaching and I still love my job. For me, it is what God has called me to do right now for my work vocation. I own my house (or, paying a mortgage), which still sometimes feels very surreal. I'm incredibly blessed in so many things, from my family and friends, to owning a house, to loving what I do every day. I also now have two dogs, whom I love very much, named Gandalf and Pippin. I went to the University of Dallas and have my BA in History, a minor in Medieval and Renaissance studies and my teaching certification. Teaching is my work vocation at the moment (it could change!) and God shows Himself to me in the students every day - and in challenging them to think - they challenge me right back. I also lead a young adult group at my church - we meet for a potluck dinner and book discussion once a week. I love to read and learn. I like to daydream and to take photos, both mental and real. I'd rather have more time than money. I love to cook and bake, and have an odd enjoyment of cleaning/organizing other peoples stuff. I lector, sing in the St. Cecilia Choir at my church, and volunteer when I can. I enjoy watching sports and love to watch movies, playing board games and card games, and I love a good discussion. I love being with my friends and with my family- my family is pretty up there! I also have a list of 5 important things: 1) God - I believe fully in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Three in One, and I wouldn't be who I am today without Him. 2) Love (platonic or otherwise) - Love is God, God is love, and from Him all forms of love, from love of a family to love of a friend. 3) Family - My family is one of the most important parts of my life. My mother and father, my grandparents, my aunts and uncles and cousins, my brother have always been there for me. They are incredibly important to me and shaped who I am. I try to talk to my parents once every week. 4) Friends - My friends (both current and past, because things do change) have helped form who I am. I value my close friendships highly. 5) Books - I love to read. I have also realized that I love reading old National Geographics. Plus, I love to keep learning!

55, Odessa, TXI'm a loving, caring, wears her heart on her sleeve kind of woman, I'm loyal to a fault, have a great sense of humor, enjoy time with friends and family, but sometimes need and enjoy some time to myself. 63, Houston, TXYes, I am 62, not a typo!....... Just call it healthy living! Committed to a faith, a higher power, family, life-long friends and community. I am surrounded by wonderful family members, friends, and community who exhibit high standards and morals. Involved with several ministries within my church community and seek a partner who is like-minded with family and his church community. Retired in 2013, from public education (37 years ) as a middle school principal and just can't see how I got it all done while I was working! Totally enjoying life now, a true blessing, and I give thanks every day but the best part of waking up is "Folgers" and no alarm clock! The freedom to pick up and leave any time is unsurpassed, this is what retirement is all about. Wish I had a traveling companion who could just pick up and leave with me. I give thanks every day for all of my blessings, including an 88 year old mother who still lives alone in her home, a real spit-fire!! One of the reasons I retired at an early age. Her four children are equally caring for her now along with a wonderful care-giver that God brought into our lives. It is amazing how our roles have changed. We know a nursing home is not for her! As a family, we believe, it is our duty and honor to respect our parents! My interests are varied, I enjoy travel, Yoga, sunsets, beaches, camping, outdoor activities, dancing, performing arts, movie night with a big box of popcorn, long walks, entertaining at home, great wines, weekend and extended getaways, love dressing up and staying active and fit. Fall is upon us... so get your walking shoes out and let's enjoy the outdoors.
53, Austin, TXI am seeking a man capable of being a best friend and loving companion who's interested in the possibility of marriage and joining me on this journey of life. He must be honest, caring, kind and wise, have a good sense of humor, be well read, and take his relationship with God seriously. He should place his faith in God and the nurturing of our families at the top of his priorities. I work in pro-life ministry full-time for the Bishop of Austin and have 4 children (all of whom are grown and two are married) as well as new a grandchild -- my first. I consider the success of my children to be among my greatest achievements. Its been 7 years since I lost my husband and I've only recently decided that I don't want to be the grieving widow forever. Now, I'm happily looking for someone to share the rest of my life with because there's beauty all around and more joy to experience.
