I am heading into my 8th year of teaching and I still love my job. For me, it is what God has called me to do right now for my work vocation. I own my house (or, paying a mortgage), which still sometimes feels very surreal. I'm incredibly blessed in so many things, from my family and friends, to owning a house, to loving what I do every day. I also now have two dogs, whom I love very much, named Gandalf and Pippin. I went to the University of Dallas and have my BA in History, a minor in Medieval and Renaissance studies and my teaching certification. Teaching is my work vocation at the moment (it could change!) and God shows Himself to me in the students every day - and in challenging them to think - they challenge me right back. I also lead a young adult group at my church - we meet for a potluck dinner and book discussion once a week. I love to read and learn. I like to daydream and to take photos, both mental and real. I'd rather have more time than money. I love to cook and bake, and have an odd enjoyment of cleaning/organizing other peoples stuff. I lector, sing in the St. Cecilia Choir at my church, and volunteer when I can. I enjoy watching sports and love to watch movies, playing board games and card games, and I love a good discussion. I love being with my friends and with my family- my family is pretty up there! I also have a list of 5 important things: 1) God - I believe fully in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Three in One, and I wouldn't be who I am today without Him. 2) Love (platonic or otherwise) - Love is God, God is love, and from Him all forms of love, from love of a family to love of a friend. 3) Family - My family is one of the most important parts of my life. My mother and father, my grandparents, my aunts and uncles and cousins, my brother have always been there for me. They are incredibly important to me and shaped who I am. I try to talk to my parents once every week. 4) Friends - My friends (both current and past, because things do change) have helped form who I am. I value my close friendships highly. 5) Books - I love to read. I have also realized that I love reading old National Geographics. Plus, I love to keep learning!

I prefer spending quality time with a small number of people, versus large social gatherings. Getting to know someone's true heart fascinates me. After growing up in an Air Force family, I decided to spend 5 years in the Air Force myself. Life then ventured off in an unexpected direction as a professional triathlete. I've recently closed this chapter of my life and feel fortunate to have a job working from home for a military and endurance sports related non-profit organization. I've always been close with my family and speak with them frequently. I'm not one to shy away from getting to know someone in a friendly setting. I enjoy being outside or having a lazy day inside from time to time. My main hobbies include studying Arabic, playing the flute, and cooking new meals. I definitely have a sweat tooth!

I guess here goes nothing.. haha So I am a passionate doctor who loves her job. Honestly I think I was born to be a doctor it fulfills me in ways I never imagined. I am looking to go into Adult Cancer Medicine preferably here in Houston. But I don't really know what's in store for me, God only knows. I am hispanic by birth, Guatemalan to be more specific and was raised there, in case you don't know where it is.. (hello google maps.. meet _____(whomever is reading)) just kidding it's in central america. Its a very conservative country and I was raised as such. I have always been described as a big hearted sweet girl. I've had many trials in my life, thank God have been able to get passed them with my head held high, or at least most of the time. I'm big on jokes and laughing.. can be described as sarcastic and sometimes have a bit of dark humor, don't take it personally I mostly say what other people are thinking but won't dare say hehe. You can find me leading most of the conversations even though I really enjoy listening and having long conversations. It will sound weird but my job has to be a hobbie, ever since I started I knew this whole helping people be healthy or get there was the best choice I could ever make. As far as music goes I'm not a big fan of the screaming (a.k.a metal and band) other than that I can pretty much listen to anything and have been known for singing out loud in my car, in the shower.. wherever. From George Strait, to Backstreet boys, to Frankie Valens, going through Heart and Guns and Roses... all eras and all kinds...again except for metal and not a big fan of rap either. It says I should mention my hobbies but I'm having a hard time, since I'm not a hobbie kind of girl.. i really like experimenting and trying new things.. like fishing, love dancing, adore chilling out with good music and a glass of wine and enjoy the occasional movie night (not so occasional, LOVE watching movies). Love hanging out with the family just chilling on a Sunday afternoon but can also enjoy some rafting or canopying or hiking during the weekend. I gue Am a big fan of long walks (however cliche that must sound) accompanied with great conversation, either in depth or superficial.

I really don't believing finding someone through the internet but everyone around me keep saying I should give it a try. What is important to me? Faith and family I like to give back to the community by volunteer teaching at church school. Seeing the smiles on my student faces take my stress away.

Howdy! I was born in Georgia, but I grew up in a suburb of Houston. I am a proud alumni of Texas A&M University and received two degrees in Education from that school. I really enjoy dancing, particularly two-stepping. I am passionate about my faith, as I would assume most people are on this site. I love music (many different types) and I like to sing. I have a chocolate lab named Parker and I am a huge dog lover. I think the Houston skyline at sunset is one of the most beautiful things ever. A good cup of coffee makes my day and I'm always up for new cafes. If I had to pick a sport, it'd be baseball. If you have questions, just ask!

I tend to be reserved before I get to know people so this of writing about myself is kind of awkward but I will try. I am currently studying engineering and have a part time job on my field of study. The most inflential people in my life is my family and I enjoy cooking and reading on my free time.
