I prefer to be called by my nickname, Jeane. I have 5 married children, 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. I am divorced with an annulment and free to marry in the Catholic Church. I am looking for nothing more than friendship for now. Someone to go to the movies or concert with; maybe out to dinner. I'm an active person. I like to go camping, bowl, or maybe just a stroll around the block. I bowl on a woman's league and travel with our bowling team, the Road Runners. I am retired but work occasionally as a care giver for an elderly lady. I'm active in my parish as a Eucharistic Minister and choir member. I lead a rosary group at our local nursing home once a week. Serving others, makes me happy! I love to travel to Marian sites and Holy places. Medjugorje is my favorite place! I have a Godchild in Bosnia that I sponsor. She is the light of my life! I traveled to Medjugorje in early October 2009 and spent some time in Northern Bosnia in her hometown of Vitez. What a wonderful visit! I also returned to the Holyland in October 2010 with my eldest daughter for the second time. This was a pilgrimage led by Fr Lively from the St Johnsbury parish; and absolutely incredible faith journey with a very holy priest! I'm old fashioned in the respect that I feel that a gentleman should make the first gesture of contact. I would welcome a pen pal first and perhaps if personalities match, meet face to face and see where the friendship goes. So if you are inclined to get to know me better, please drop me a line.

My main goal is to meet a mature man whose life is already balanced in the important areas of physical, mental, and spiritual well being. Family and friends are very important to me and I hope they are important to you as well. I am looking for a man who is also comfortable with his present life and financial situation but looking to enhance his social life by meeting a woman who shares similar interests. I might liken myself to a cut diamond that has too many facets to describe in a few words. I can sparkle or not depending on what any given situation demands and yet I possess some flaws which hopefully add interest to my basic character. I consider myself a good, decent person and my friends would describe me as intelligent, artistic, funny, clever, compassionate, considerate, loyal, honest and most of all, joyful and optimistic. It is important for me to meet a man who is Catholic and possesses all the characteristics that make him a good, decent person who shares my values and would appreciate socializing with an attractive, independent, youthful, and warmhearted woman. I have been debating over placing my profile on Catholic Match for a while but could not decide if that is something for me. Some of my friends have urged me to take a leap of faith and that is what I am doing. Here's to a happy landing

I am at a stage of my life where I want to reenter the dating scene. I have been married in the past and was granted an annullment through the Church. At my age I find it difficult to meet people who share my interests and hobbies, and am hoping that this site can help. I am looking for friendship to begin with - not looking to start a serious relationship quickly, I like to take my time. If you are of the same mind, please feel free to contact me, thank you.

I have been divorced 10 years after being married for 26 years. My husband and i were able to get back to best friends after our divorce, however he died 5 years ago. I feel much moree like a widow than a divorcee. I love nature. I've done quite a bit of traveling, with destinations often selected based on the beauty of the area. I had the opportunity to live in Hawaii for 3 years. I came back to Vermont to be closer to my family, but really miss the ocean. I love dogs. In the past I have had English Setters, but decided I needed a smaller dog and now have a Cavalier King Charles spaniel that I adore. I enjoy walking, music, movies, good books, good food, good wine and good friends. am interested in finding someone to share these experiences. My faith is a very important aspect of my life. I sing in a liturgical choir and a local Catholic College. My life has provided a number of significant challenges. I know it is because of my faith that I have always been able to find a plan "B" that worked for me.

Hi out there in radio land! It is easy to tell you what I am passionate about. !) Jesus 2) my family 3) the Church with all it's warts and human frailties. 4) music. Jesus: I spent my first 29 years as a protestant with the last 8 or 9 years as a licensed Christian Worker in the Assembly of God (that is like an apprentice minister). From my personal study I wondered why we didn't put more emphasis on Communion. We would have a communion service about 4 times a year consisting of tiny little squares of cracker and tiny tittle cups of grape juice. I was so hungry for the Eucharist although I didn't know that title. Just before my children and I traveled to Germany to join my husband who was stationed at Wiesbaden AFB, I became aware of the hypocrisy and down right Sin among the clergy in my district, I returned my credentials. I could not be a party to open adultery, and gossip etc. The following Christmas Midnight Mass, I went to Mass from the Gloria and bells clarion call I was enraptured. For me at the Consecration everything fell into place, This was truly Jesus! Really present! I cried for joy! I told my friend I had to go and receive Jesus really present. I went for the very 1st time my lowly hand became the throne of God. When I received the cup the Precious Blood burned and warmed me at the same time as though I was being refined by the flame of God's love. I did go to see the priest the 1st working day of the New Year. By that time my husband had asked me to find out what he needed to do, because he said, Quoting Fr Payton of Rosary fame: The Family that prays together stays together. I was received into the Church Feb. 1980! Because of his military duties he was received Oct. 1980. 2) Family: We raised 2 sons who are 42 and 38. Our oldest lives in AR with his wife of a bazillion years. He is a Chef and tattoo artist of great fame in AR and MO. Our younger son lives just around the corner 6 houses away. His wife is the daughter we never had. She is so kind and gentle. They have 2 children. A boy age 6 1/2 and a girl aged 5 and I'll let you know, I spoil them, a lot. Music and the Church are like a hand in glove. I have written a lot of liturgical music, I once told the director of a Gilbert and Sullivan Review I would rather sing than eat and you could see how much I love to eat! I got the part of one of the principal roles!

Hi. My name is Rose, I'm a transplanted 'city' girl and enjoy country living but still enjoy visiting places where there's more hustle and bustle. I'm passionate about our Catholic faith, the church and her teachings and attend mass regularly. My family and the lasting friendships with others that have developed over the years are also very important in my life. I enjoy being of help to others and work with those less fortunate, assisting part time at our local outreach center. I also hope to start volunteering as a foster grandparent in one of our area schools when that becomes available. I enjoy reading in my spare time as well as dabbling in oil pastels and sculpture. I would like to hear from an honorable gentlemen with high moral standards, upstanding values and someone who will treat a lady as a lady. If this sounds like you I would enjoy hearing from you ~ Rose

Having traveled down the road of life, my turn signals haven't always helped me follow the right road. Now that I become a Catholic and very proud of it (I might add) I believe my journey to happiness lies just ahead. My home consists of myself and my cat Sallie. I have now felt that something is missing in my life, and I would like to me a well rounded gentleman to spend some time with.
  • Maureen, 61 from Hartford, VT
    61, Hartford, VT
I enjoy being outside especially in the warmer months. I like to run, bike and enjoy being on the water as much as possible in the summer. I have a kayak that I use as often as possible. I have 2 grown children who are still very important to me, and who I would do anything for. They have significant others who are also important to me. I have 5 siblings who also are important to me although some of them are not close enough for me to spend as much time with as I would like. My mom is alive at this point, but is struggling at this time in her life, so I spend as much time as possible with her also. I am looking for someone local, not long distance to spend some time with. It can certainly start out as friends as I believe that's how it should all begin anyway. I do not want a long distance relationship and am probably not going to be willing to move far away, so if you live far away and message me, I probably won't respond to you. I love to dance also and do some contra dancing with my sister. I have also done east coast, west coast and two step. I love county music. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. You do not have to be a strick catholic, as I go to church as I go to church as often as possible but not necessarily every weekend. I have tried a few of the other sites and haven't had any luck so I thought I would give this site a try Thank you for reading my profile.I do believe that God has a plan for all of us. I didn't realize I would have to pay for this site so I haven't done that yet. Not sure it's worth it as I've tried this before with other sites and not gotten far.

I'm an honest, caring, loving individual who enjoys spending quality time with family and friends. I enjoy the adventure of traveling to new places or revisiting favorite cities or quiet retreats. I grew up in the northeast kingdom of Vermont and still enjoy going home to visit family. I enjoy going for long walks, reading, playing golf, biking, cooking when I can, going out with family and friends. I prefer to meet someone face to face and get to know them then through written words.
