A lot has changed in my life in the past few years. In that time I moved from DC to rural Honduras, where I did medical mission work for two years, and then back to the DC area. Being back is bittersweet, and I think of what I learned there and the people I grew to love there often. Right now, I'm focusing on trying to love and value the people God has placed in my path -family, friends, my patients- and staying open to His plan in my daily life. I hope that plan involves marriage and family and opportunities for mission work at some point in the future. I'm blessed with a good job and am excited to do some hiking and spend time with friends and family this summer. Favorites/interests in no particular order: Running, laughing at myself, Colorado mountains, Central America, good seafood, pupusas, cliffs, caves, waterfalls, nursing, good books, catching up with long-time friends.

My goals are to continue to nourish the wonderful relationships I have with my family and friends, to make a meaningful contribution through my career, and, of course, to find a soul mate with whom to share the journey. My hobbies are travel, hiking, sailing, playing tennis, gardening, reading, going to the theatre and watching movies. I am learning ballroom and Latin dancing. I have a strong sense of adventure and am open to new experiences and diverse opinions. My taste in music ranges from 1960s folk music, to rock to opera. I love them all and chose them depending on my mood and the environment.

I love to laugh. I don't think I ever let a day go by without laughing and I try to infuse humor into almost every situation. The best and corniest joke I've heard recently: "What was the first expletive Moses said when he came down Mt. Sinai with the Ten Commandments?"..."Holy Cow!" My passion is teaching theology. I love love love discussing theology with my students, colleagues, friends and if I'm feeling especially extroverted, even strangers. Although, I am pretty shy in person, I'm an easy nut to crack and once I feel comfortable I open up quickly. I tend toward being very observant, not Sherlock Holmes but ask me what I see and hear. You'd be surprised what I notice. My students are constantly amazed by my powers of hearing when they're whispering things to comrades. I devour books and movies pretty voraciously and when I go to the movie theater I have to be there for the previews. Its part of the experience (and one of the things that I bonded with my brother over). There's just something about walking into that theater and watching the lights go down...I'm a sucker for suspense, thrillers and mysteries. Right now, Greg Iles and Gillian Flynn are my go to authors. I also have the most adorable dog, Shorty. A friend recently described him as a dog with the "nose of a pig and the hide of a cow." I think she meant it as a compliment. For most of the year, I'm able to bike with Shorty on a stretch of the W&OD trail near my apartment. Hanging out with friends generally includes food (home-cooked meal or dining out), swing dancing at Glen Echo Park, Adoration at one of DC's many parishes and taking advantage of some of the great opportunities that DC provides. The activity is always secondary to the company. Sometimes, the most pleasurable experience is just to sit next to someone in the silence and take in the beauty around or get lost in a book.

Hi! I'm originally from Ohio. People are so nice in the Midwest! But I also like how much there is to do out here in DC. I'm from a big family and have the best of times with my 7 siblings. I LOVE traveling. I lived in Mexico and Chile for a few years, have traveled to various countries, and have a long list of more places to go! Some things I enjoy include: family, friends, WINE, being outdoors, movies, basketball, and playing piano. Oooh and recently I was introduced to bourbon; my life will never be the same! I work for the DoD, like half of the DC population. GO BUCKS!!

I'm an East Coast girl who loves her faith, family, and friends. I can't live without coffee. I love to cook traditional family recipes. I enjoy going watching sports (in part so I can talk to my father and brother).I read in order to learn more about myself and the world. I consider myself a loyal friend, a hard worker, and a good time.

I love writing, both opining about politics and culture and writing stories. You'll always find me reading (at least) three different books on my phone. I like people-watching and traveling, good coffee and wineries, taking long walks, exploring the outdoors, and I've recently taken up cooking (recent successes include not burning all the things). I'd say the most influential people in my life are the folks I follow on Twitter. (Tongue in cheek...or not?)

I am pretty fun and like to experience new things. I am a joiner and can pretty much have fun doing anything and can fit in with all groups of people. I am also task oriented, work hard, and love to laugh. My humor is a bit sarcastic. I grew up in a small town, but have gotten a chance to travel quite a bit and even lived in Europe (some say that changes a person's view of life). I'm a strong, intelligent, passionate woman. Once I give my love to someone-all bets are off. I'm the youngest of 5 and hope to retire in 3 years. I love my job and look forward to making a difference everyday.

I find it hard to describe myself because it feels like tooting my own horn. But I will try to do it as simply as possible. Here are a few words that describe me: fun, passionate about life, feminine, attentive to what happens around me, ALWAYS willing to help, hardworking, active, curious. Here are a few more: sometimes hyperactive (until the goal is reached), honest, both introvert and extrovert depending on the context and who is around me. I have been a Catholic for as long as I can remember, but my faith has grown with time and thanks to teachings and Bible study, but also thanks to real life experience. All of this led me to recommit my life to Christ a few years ago. I rely on His help to meet someone who also wants to follow His will, so we can grow together. My hobbies include movies, dancing, adventure, being active and trying new recipes. One of my passions is learning/studying. This is partly why I like what I do for a living. I am a conference interpreter for French, English and Spanish. I also speak an African Language and have been learning Portuguese for over a year.

I am not currently able to communicate on Catholic match; thus the generic emotigrams-- I'm an athletic gal who loves the heck out of biking and swimming and running and exploring new places! Trouble is finding someone who wants to do the same! I like to give back to the community through volunteering at wounded warrior events, races, my parish and a nursing home. Wanna ride?
