50, Chesapeake, VAHello my Brother in Christ! I have to say I do not like writing these things but I'll give a shot see what comes of it. I'm a health care professional living in Virginia for 10 years now. I moved here from NY where I was born and raised. My family is of Latin background and if you know anything about Latins you know that means family is everything. We often do social/worship and other activities together. I have several family members living in this neck of the woods and we are very close and involved in several church activities together. I am the primary caregiver for an elderly and ill parent. I am passionately Catholic, and love learning about my faith. I attend mass regularly and take advantage of our exposition & benediction when offered. Travel is fun, especially when it involves visiting a religious site. I recently went to the National Catholic Bible Conference in PA and had the oppurtunity to visit the National Shrine of Our Lady of Chestochowa it was absolutely beautiful. I've traveled out of the country to Italy, Spain and Germany to name few but haven't really taken advantage of all the beautiful places right here in the US and would like to that. Hopefully that will be in my future. I enjoy a good glass of wine and like attending wine tastings. An aromatic strong cup of good coffee is also at the top of my list! I have been involved in the Cursillo movement and love being on cursillo weekend teams. Interests: EWTN junkie :), Baseball, Guitar, Music, Dancing, Jazz, & being Passionatlely Catholic!
31, Fredericksburg, VAWe cannot do great things on this Earth, only small things with great love - Mother Teresa When it comes to our vocation in life our response to God's calling must be unselfish and begin with the belief that we must seek out our future spouse because we want their salvation through the love we have for them. God please help us to follow your path of love.
35, Virginia Beach, VAGreetings, Gents! At first glance, you mightn't guess that I'm a Naval Officer (Briggs Meyers ISTP), type-A personality and definitely outgoing if I want to be...but I also like my space, and find a nice evening with a book and a fire in the hearth more preferable than clubbing or the pub scene (though, I don't mind that too, from time to time!) I'm also professional musician (vocal...hear me at www.reverbnation.com/breeadail), a Historian (with a passion for Ancient Rome) and an aspiring author (fiction). I enjoy philosophical and theological discussions/debates and am an avid film buff. I love to Stand-Up Paddle Board (SUP) and attend outdoor concerts and plays. I like baseball (go RED SOX!)...I'm even known to play computer/video games from time to time!! I love to laugh, especially at dry, witty humor and appreciate beauty and nature and quite contemplation. My perfect match would be a MASCULINE man (bearded is a PLUS--at least, be ABLE to grow a beard!) who, being cultured and intelligent, would be willing to escort me to the theatre once in a while! As indicated above (beard comment!) I like a man to be the Man-strong, honorable--who makes decisions...but one who is also romantic, and a bit of a melancholic. For me, money is a definite necessity (ya gotta be able to provide for yourself...it proves you are willing to work hard for a future family!), but not the obsession with money or power. Don't get me wrong, though...I'm a slow-mover when it comes to relationships--I need to be wooed! My idea of a good date would include going to a musical/ shakespeare production; a concert (Michael Buble, U2, Dave Matthews, Josh Groban) coffee at a bookstore; a good movie; wine tasting; Irish Pubbing, visiting museums, visiting an aquarium, visiting a Civil War battlefield...or a trip to Europe, Rio or Buenos Aires..I'm not into restaurant-exclusive dates...food, no matter how great it is, tends to bore me to no end... Oh...and one more thing. I LOVE animals, especially my dog, Bella (a Golden Irish Retriever). I don't see my life without them!
25, Alexandria, VAI am passionate about my job and sports, basically. I love politics, but after a day at work surrounded by it I'm usually down to discuss any other topic. My mom is probably the most influential person in my life. In my "leisure time" I watch sports, the Food Network, and crime TV shows. I love cooking and crafting.
25, Manassas, VAHey, I'm Elizabeth! I am the oldest of ten and was raised in a very traditional Catholic family. I am also a recent graduate of Christendom College and am working as a Medical Assistant at Tepeyac Family Center. I have dreamed of being a nurse for the last ten years and am super excited to finally begin a hospital-based diploma program next fall!! I enjoy spending time with family and friends, singing, dancing, and playing volleyball.
29, Herndon, VAI am passionate about a lot of things. I love my job--I'm an attorney--and I knew I wanted to be an attorney since high school. I felt called to this job and I am so thankful in how God has worked everything out and brought me to the place I am today. I like spending time with my dogs (I have two), my friends, and talking to my family. My family live in different states so I try and stay in touch by phone, e-mail, and text as much as possible. I also enjoy reading--there is nothing better than a good book, especially on a cold and rainy day. I love running and run almost every day. I spent last year training for a half marathon and ended up running three. This year I am training for a marathon and hope to do a few before the year is over.
23, Norfolk, VAMy name is Jenni and I just graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville with degrees in Biology and Political Science and a minor in theology. While political science is my hobby, biology is my passion. I plan on starting classes for Graduate school this Summer to eventually pursue a PhD in Biology so I can teach at the collegiate level .. . or get an MD. and become a cardiologist. I've been insanely blessed with so many amazing people in my life. The most influential have been my parents. They were both in the Navy, and we moved around a lot until I was in fifth grade, then we settled in Virginia. My Dad is one of the most encouraging determined people I have met; My mom is one of the smartest and most understanding. As far as hobbies, I LOVE to run. I've been on cross country and track teams since my sophomore year of high school and have enjoyed every moment of it. I also like ice skating, tennis, decorating Christmas cookies, wrapping gifts, playing with puppies, going to the movies, and I really enjoy fairytales. I also hope to one day learn piano. Currently, I am an assistant track coach at my old high school and enjoying it :) Finally, I really love quotes. Here are three of my favorites: "Next to the Blessed Sacrament itself, your neighbor is the holiest object present to your senses."- C.S. Lewis "Every persons' life is a fairytale written by God's fingers." - Hans Christian Anderson Psalm 66: 16-17; 19-20 "Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will tell what he has done for me. I cried aloud to him, and he was extolled with my heart. . . . But truly God has listened; he has given heed to the voice of my prayer. Blessed be God, because he has no rejected my prayer or removed his steadfast love from me."
27, King George, VAI'm a nerd. I'm awkward. I tend to be shy. I get embarrassed easily, especially around guys that I like. I'm a klutz. I'm definitely not perfect, but who is? :) I was married for a few years, I have full physical custody of our three kids. They were born in 2012 (boy), 2014 (girl), and 2015 (girl). I'll never talk badly about my ex because that's just not who I am, but I've definitely learned a lot about who I am as a person and what kind of person I'm looking for as a result of my marriage not working out. I have a home business that takes up a lot of my time. I started it 4 years ago when my oldest was a baby, just as a hobby. It has grown to be almost a full time job. I'm not an "expensive flowers and jewelry" kinda girl. If you want to spoil me, I'd much rather enjoy movie tickets or a new DVD, or a big bag of KitKats or Twix, or even a bunch of fruit :) Seriously, just pick out some grapes, apples, and mangoes... better than any flowers or jewelry :) I'm not super girly in general anyway... I wear makeup twice a year for Christmas Mass and Thanksgiving, sometimes for a few special events. I don't wear dresses often; I prefer skirts, jeans, or workout leggings. I don't wear earrings, but I do have two tattoos and would like at least one more. I play with hair color every season. Nothing crazy like pink or blue (yet), but I do like doing burgundy or dark red in the Fall/Winter, and lighter brown in the Spring/Summer. I've lived in Virginia most of my life. I'd probably be happy living just about anywhere though... except maybe Florida or Kansas. I don't think I could deal with frequent hurricanes or tornadoes :) I used to take Swing and Ballroom dance lessons in high school. I love the old fashioned dancing especially: Charleston, Jive, Quickstep, Swing. I may or may not watch Dancing With The Stars every season just for those dances :) Fair warning ;)
21, Newport News, VAWanna hear a Catholic joke? Joe Biden. If you don't think that's funny, I don't know if we will get along. Seriously though, I'm spontaneous and a laugh a minute, but also devout. When not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, and making up bad theme songs about inane things. I am willing to try to play just about anything, though I just don't seem to have any talent for sports. I am enjoyably bad at bowling. I like to watch football, but have never really gotten into baseball or basketball. I like board games and cards(terrible poker face, just terrible). I like pleanty of boring girly stuff like makeup and vintage fashion that you are sure to find mind numbing. I can't really think of anything else, which is probably a sign that I've said too much.
39, Virginia Beach, VALooking forward to the next phase in life....will be transitioning from military to civilian life soon. I'm passionate about art and cooking. I also volunteer with a few ministries at our church. I have lots of hobbies and interests, just ask. I have three small children and enjoy spending time with them...we are an active bunch- festivals, beach, parks, aquarium, shows, whatever! There have been many inspirational people that have influenced my life. To name a few: my grandmother, my high school coach, my Sunday school teacher, a former mentor and boss. All of them had incredible work ethic, overcame adversities, had strong love of God, and lived that love through how they treated others. My kids inspire me to do my best and be the best mom I can be each and every day. Each one is a precious, miraculous gift from God, and they deserve nothing less than Superwoman for a mom. I bring my 'A' game every day, and some days I may fall a little short (probably just expecting too much of myself), but I keep trying hard to do the best for them 24-7-365. Every day is a new challenge, the only easy day was yesterday! "Never shall I fail my comrades. I will always keep myself mentally alert, physically strong and morally straight and I will shoulder more than my share of the task whatever it may be, one-hundred-percent and then some." Events that have influenced my life: birth of my children, two extended military deployments, a car accident, a specific mass on my last ship, times that I didnt succeed but tried again and reached my goals. Get to know me and I'm happy to share details of any of the above 'sea stories'.
18, Alexandria, VA+JMJ+ God surely laughs often; why? I tell Him my plans, naturally! :) Laughter, being MY greatest form of therapy, motivates me to enjoy laughing, and often. My three anchors in life; Faith, Family, and Friends. Blessed to be a cradle Catholic, I am also the oldest of seven children. As a Navy Chief's daughter, I hold a high regard for our military and all things patriotic. Come, 12/2017, GO NAVY! BEAT ARMY! ;) I do confess; watching the long grey line is a majestic sight. I'll grant the Army that. Leisure-wise, I enjoy being outdoors, playing games with my family, catching up on reading, watching Netflix, listen to music and rollerblading or biking.
26, Fredericksburg, VAI'm a pretty outgoing and compassionate person. I love to laugh and I love to have meaningful conversations. I'm very passionate about my beliefs. I'm looking for "Mr. Right" and I'm hoping to find him soon. I've accomplished a lot and I'm ready to settle down and make new goals with my future best friend!
