54, Arlington, VAI'm an busy, confident, easy-going, professional Catholic living in DC. I love being with friends, following politics, dancing, dining out, singing, watching old movies or reading a good book. I've tried golf, enjoy watching sports, and want to travel more. My faith is the most important thing to me. I am always striving to live it better and I have some wonderful examples in my family and friends to emulate. I work in the political world (it's DC, after all!), sing in a group that performs for DC schools and retirement homes and help with local apostolates. I love bookstores, the first snow of the year and sleeping in! And I love my new Mac laptop and ipod!
52, Alexandria, VAHello future CM friend! I am not desperate to find Mr. Right and I don't expect to find Mr. Perfect. I do hope to find someone who shares my faith, interests, with whom I can have real discussions, and laugh, and explore what life has to offer. I am a professional woman and a mother. I'd say am fairly practical, but there's also a silly and inquisitive side to me. While I enjoy being home, I also like getting out and having fun. That could be going on a hike, going to a movie, a local show, etc. I also like learning new things. Love, love, love the ocean. I recently got my scuba certification. I value honesty, loyalty, family and friends, and am very blessed to have some wonderful people in my life. "A good heart is an open heart" is a theme for me and I think an example Jesus set for us to follow. I enjoy traveling and have lived in Europe and Canada. I really like the mountains but love the ocean.
58, Luray, VAI enjoy simple things. My pastimes include gardening, working out, dancing, hiking, and doing things in my community. I attend daily mass several times a week. I pray the Rosary and volunteer at the local retirement home. I am passionate about my religion and very dedicated to God. I want to meet sameone also dedicated to the Lord. I enjoy spending time with my family. I have three kids, one who lives at home.
57, Woodbridge, VAI am Asian. I left my native country when I was 26 years old, and never went back. One day I will. I have two yound adult boys. My life has always centered around them, although I am not the center of their lives. One day I will have to let them go, and hopefully granchildren take their place! I am quite comfortable with my own company. And I am pretty much a homebody. I belong to a Catholic charismatic group, and my social life revolves around the activities of this group. I was a cradle Catholic, and only learned more about my faith because of this group. I come from a family of 12 -- one can only guess how wacky our holidays get-togethers are. I am on this site only because my girl friend told me to join as soon as my divorce and annulment were done. Part of me wants to meet possibilities for a 2nd time around, but part of me is also drawn to a life of solitude.
23, Falls Church, VAMy life is centered around recieving the Eucharist each day and seeing Christ in all I do. I'm creative and passionate, when I'm not teaching art to the kiddos, I'm making it myself. Life is a beautiful gift from God and I spend every day trying to share this gift in any way I can.
25, Alexandria, VABorn and raised in Tennessee and a southern girl at heart. I'm easy going and love to laugh, (I am the typical middle child.) Family means the world to me and I cannot wait to one day have a family of my own. While I'm only 25, I'm definitely an old soul. My faith is a part of my daily life and helps me cope with the heartbreaks of my job as a pediatric cardiac icu nurse. There's nothing that driving with the windows down, wind in your hair, and a good playlist can't fix. I love DIY projects (think building furniture) and like many women, I'm slightly obsessed with Joanna Gaines and HGTV's Fixer Upper. On the other hand, on any given fall Saturday, you'll find me watching college football. Roll Tide! I wish to always live my life with this in mind, "She was able to do more because she loved more."- St. Gregory the Great, on St. Scholastica.
56, Manassas, VAI enjoy snuggling on the sofa watching a good movie. Maybe I can convince you that Jane Austen movies are not just for girls! (Then again, maybe not!) My idea of a great evening is listening to live music while dancing with the man I love. I enjoy most kinds of music - classic rock, Irish music, Big Band, rockabilly (love Elvis), classical, even Italian opera (my favorite is Puccini's Turandot) - and I love waltzing and swing dancing (but if you don't dance, that's ok). My four children are grown now, so I've got plenty of time to spend with you talking and laughing. I would love to sit down to a good meal with you and talk about music, history, Catholicism, or whatever you are most passionate about. I am expecting an annulment in 2017, so let's begin as friends and hope it leads to more.
56, Richmond, VAIt's very hard to talk about self. I prefer to be discovered... However, I will reveal to you that I love thunderstorms but, I can't live without sunshine... I like the beach but dislike some sea creatures... I look at beauty in every facet of life either by seeing things in a positive or optimistically. I like to stroll in the park, walking in promenade, leading to an avenue near a cafe or a local music concert. I like to watch romantic films, cook exotic dishes and still have time, at night, to look at the stars, admiring the greatest gifts of nature.
61, Clifton, VAI enjoy spending time with my family and friends doing just about anything - from simply relaxing and chatting to exploring new places and activities.
72, Oakton, VAMy prayer every morning is " Thank you, God for another day! " I feel blessed because of my family and friends. I enjoy going to the theater, especially musical plays ,movies, concerts listening to music and reading and traveling.
28, Great Falls, VAI am a kind person who like to give the best on me in each personal and professional project. I try to live every day looking and following God's willing. I enjoy to be with my friends from church and help them. I really enjoy do outdoor activities like biking, hiking, climbing.
28, Orange, VAI will turn 50 in 2018... that is a bit surreal to me at the moment. I have never been married, and in fact avoided the whole idea of it until I could come to terms with certain things in my life. I have been at peace with myself and have strengthen ties with family members I wanted to be close to while in childhood, but just couldn't for various reasons. Mentally, I feel that I am in my late 20's, but physically I have to take care getting up and down or walking too much. I am presently taking graduate classes in Applied Behavioral Analysis and hope to do research using ABA techniques with youth who have been convicted of felonies before turning 18. In ABA we focus on helping individuals and society make socially significant changes; I hope that someday society can be forgiving and that young people who made bad choices can learn to not only take responsibility for their actions, but more importantly, become empathic to others. I have not traveled nearly enough, and desire to find someone who wants to visit all of the significant places associates with our faith as well as hike all of the National Parks in the USA. One area that has perhaps kept me single this long (in addition to the happenings explained in the opening paragraph), is that I am not especially hungry for a physical relationship. I chose to practice absence my entire life, and frankly, I just don't get why some people say they can't live without sex. I learned about St. Cecelia in my early 20s and never forgot about her devotion to God. I'm not saying I won't someday, but I don't want that to be the motivator of my marriage. I would like to meet someone who can make me laugh and smile and who will pray with me and inspire me to grow more fully in my faith, and for whom I can do the same.
