38, Stafford, VAI'm most passionate about music and I look forward to concert season every year. My parents have had the most influence on my life. So has volunteering. I spent much of my childhood volunteering and I volunteer as often as I can at church. Volunteering just makes you feel so much better about yourself when you are done. In my spare time I enjoy reading (a little of everything), watching tv/movies, hanging out with my family, playing both board and video games, and just relaxing.
57, Ruther Glen, VAHello, well I finally decided that if I wanted to meet someone that I hope to spend my older years with and find love again, I need to start with someone who has the same faith beliefs as I do. I think that was my problem the first time. So here goes. My name is Carolyn and I am a native New Yorker, however I have been in Virginia for 27 years. My children are my loves. However as one is getting ready to move out and the other is entering high school, I feel like it is time to think about what I want to do with the rest of my life. My extended family and friends are what keeps me going. I love my church and I am very active there. I love the beach and the mountains and short trips out of town. I want to meet someone who shares my passion and who loves to laugh. Someone who compliments me and my life, not someone who complicates it. Someone ho likes to socialize with my friends but also like to share quiet moments as well. we all know that chemistry is very important in a relationship, there must be an attraction as well as a deep faith in God.
38, Centreville, VAI'm an honest, creative, loyal, intelligent, kind, and family-oriented woman. I have no qualms with sticking to my principles despite what everyone else is doing. Yet, I am also very diplomatic and try to keep conflict around me to a minimum. I am both analytical and artistically imaginative. I like to think that those traits complement each other. It does make categorizing my career difficult. I'd say I have the heart and mind of an academic, and if there were a single field that I was passionate about over all others, I would probably have a PhD and be a professor, researching and teaching. By the way, I had to change my diet to be vegetarian, but not for ideological reasons -- I hope to be able to go back to eating a little bit of everything again. At any rate, no judgment here for you eating a nice cheeseburger -- maybe just some envy!
34, Lorton, VAIm a simple person who loves to cook, travel and make friends. I would definitely love to meet people with the same interest; Believe in God and is family oriented. Im into few messages first before meeting up. :)
56, Alexandria, VAHello! Hope you are enjoying the best of health and happiness. Oh. Wait. isn't that part of why we're here? We all look for someone who we can be happy to share our lives with. My life has been devotion to family, but now my children are all grown and on their own. Keep in touch with my kids as much as I can, given they live in Pensacola, Beford, but-- now it's my new chapter. My personal passion has been music and always striving to continue being healthy and fit. Being active in my faith and my parish community is very important as well. My faith keeps me going; I wouldn't have the energy for what I do without my Lord. My life has been moving from country to country. Born in Augsburg Germany, and lived many places as an Army brat. As an adult and married (foreign service spouse/employee), lived in many countries; Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore, West Bank/Israel, Germany, Syria, Dominican Republic, etc., in the foreign service part of my life. After all that, I have no problem staying in one place. Would love to go places, on vacation; with someone who enjoys that as well. Home to me is where I'm with those I love. Hopefully that sounds good to you? LOVE being in the choral ensemble I'm in now. Have delved into Opera as well. Been in (overseas, expat) Rock & Roll bands. Heck, even like Karaoke! I'm interested in many other things too. God willing I'll find someone who values our Catholic faith, and shares some, maybe many, interests. With that foundation possibilities abound! Might that person be you?
57, Chantilly, VAI live in Chantilly VA and soon will be moving closer to Arlington. I would describe myself as being laid back, patient, genuine and easy to talk to. I'm a lover of music, movies, art, comedy, biking and the outdoors... Love to check out different parks and trail - love to watch live sports. travel to new places. anyplace with fire and/or water. Pittsburgher turned Virginian. Loyal friend. Ethical. Dog lover. Hugger. Wanderer. Imperfect perfectionist. Extroverted. Wannabe reader. Planner.
56, Manassas, VAI enjoy snuggling on the sofa watching a good movie. Maybe I can convince you that Jane Austen movies are not just for girls! (Then again, maybe not!) My idea of a great evening is listening to live music while dancing with the man I love. I enjoy most kinds of music - classic rock, Irish music, Big Band, rockabilly (love Elvis), classical, even Italian opera (my favorite is Puccini's Turandot) - and I love waltzing and swing dancing (but if you don't dance, that's ok). My four children are grown now, so I've got plenty of time to spend with you talking and laughing. I would love to sit down to a good meal with you and talk about music, history, Catholicism, or whatever you are most passionate about. I am expecting an annulment in 2017, so let's begin as friends and hope it leads to more.
33, Roanoke, VAI'm optimistic, genuine, loyal, and independent. You are a U.S. citizen who is fiercely loyal to me, patriotic, genuine, open minded, intelligent, assertive, optimistic, and active. I enjoy the mundane to the extravagant. Details in person.
27, Richmond, VAI'm really bad at my yearly self evaluation for work, and this feels similar so I'm not sure how this will go.... I am bubbly, outgoing, and spend the majority of my time smiling and laughing. The world is full of so much hardship and suffering, I believe it is my job to help to be a light to my family, my friends, and my church. Don't get me wrong though, even though I'm perky like 98% of the time, I still need that 2% to rest and recharge and watch some netflix. :) My family and friends are a high priority to me - which is why they are in so many of my photos! It is imperative that my s/o understand the importance of those relationships in my life and is not only supportive of them but also wants to get to know (and love) my family as I do. I was born and raised in Richmond, VA, left to go to George Mason for undergrad and ended up working in the non-profit/activist sector for almost two years post-grad. I came back to Richmond for a job am now job hunting in the Northern Virginia/DC area, or even abroad. I'm at a place right now where the Lord could lead me anywhere and I am trying to be prayerfully open! I love to cook and try new cooking methods or ethnic foods, but southern comfort food is my specialty - I have a secret recipe for home made (Virginia) barbecue sauce that has won a couple blue ribbons at the state fair, not to brag or anything :). Rock climbing and lifting are how I work out the majority of the time. And I am in constant search of a gym buddy because sometimes the gym bro culture is too intimidating for a 5'2" petite girl! Shakespeare, theatre, politics, reading, learning new things, history, and the Oxford comma are passions of mine and I will always laugh at bad jokes. I am an ENFJ and continually fascinated with the Meyer-Briggs of others.
56, Richmond, VAHello! A newby to this site and looking for a Catholic man to share a coffee, conversation and life moments. I enjoy music, museums, traveling, oil painting, botanical illustrating, sporting events, concerts...I like most things! Easy going and basically a happy person through my strong faith. I get my strength through Jesus Christ! He has carried me several times with great success! We can talk more about that over coffee. I look forward to seeing what God has instore for me in the future!
41, Virginia Beach, VAProfile picture?!?! Uff. I look like a dork in pictures. So I'll go ahead and post the one where I'm at an 80s music concert dressed like a "Material Girl". I'm a single mom to two hilarious little kids. I'm a beach bum, love to go out to restaurants and be social when it suits me. Other times I'm a bit of a homebody. I've got a few quirks- but as far as I'm concerned, they're all pretty hilarious. I'm crafty and artistic and a passionate seamstress. (Don't talk when the sewing machine is running). I'm close to my family and look forward to the time that I spend with them. I need sunshine and quiet to recharge. Having been in the restaurant biz for over twenty years I love a good meal and pretty much any beer you put in front of me. Backyard BBQs, swimming and good music make me happy:). When I love, I love big. I come from a long line of Irishmen with twisted senses of humor. Not everyone gets it. I'm a list maker and an analyzer (to a fault). I'm totally fine with the simple things in life. Put the music on- pour me a beverage and I'm happy just existing.
33, Arlington, VAPassionate about Labrador Retrievers, life in the DC area, international relations, politics, "Game of Thrones" + "Veep," and people who can open jars for me. In that order.
