37, McLean, VAI am a positive person--definitely a cup half full kinda attitude. I am patient, which is very important as I work with kids. I am the athletic director at an independent school. It can be a lot of hours, but i know I make a difference in their lives. For "fun" during the off-season, I coach a summer league swim team. Which I know may seem like work to others, but its not to me. I love every minute of it- the sun, the water, the laughter, and the craziness. I have some good friends and a great family that I am very close to. I am 1 of 5 and have 8 nephews/nieces and everyone lives near by so I get to spend lots of time with them. I am 50% Argentine as my mom is originally from there...and my dad is from the Midwest . It's definitely an interesting combination! Have you ever seen the movie "My Big Fat Greek Wedding"? Well i can definitely relate! Not only can my family be loud & crazy, but growing up I attended an Argentine school every Saturday morning. So I am fluent in Spanish. I enjoy playing/watching/coaching sports, reading, board games, sudoku, movies, and am willing to try pretty much anything. My favorite sports to watch are college basketball (Duke!) and professional baseball (Orioles) & football (go pack go!). I enjoy swimming, bowling, playing basketball. I hate to run, but I do it anyways. I am a bit of a movie junkie, my favorites are action or romantic comedies. I enjoy going out and trying new restaurants & bars and consider myself a bit of a foodie.
29, Arlington, VAI love to laugh. I don't think I ever let a day go by without laughing and I try to infuse humor into almost every situation. The best and corniest joke I've heard recently: "What was the first expletive Moses said when he came down Mt. Sinai with the Ten Commandments?"..."Holy Cow!" My passion is teaching theology. I love love love discussing theology with my students, colleagues, friends and if I'm feeling especially extroverted, even strangers. Although, I am pretty shy in person, I'm an easy nut to crack and once I feel comfortable I open up quickly. I tend toward being very observant, not Sherlock Holmes but ask me what I see and hear. You'd be surprised what I notice. My students are constantly amazed by my powers of hearing when they're whispering things to comrades. I devour books and movies pretty voraciously and when I go to the movie theater I have to be there for the previews. Its part of the experience (and one of the things that I bonded with my brother over). There's just something about walking into that theater and watching the lights go down...I'm a sucker for suspense, thrillers and mysteries. Right now, Greg Iles and Gillian Flynn are my go to authors. I also have the most adorable dog, Shorty. A friend recently described him as a dog with the "nose of a pig and the hide of a cow." I think she meant it as a compliment. For most of the year, I'm able to bike with Shorty on a stretch of the W&OD trail near my apartment. Hanging out with friends generally includes food (home-cooked meal or dining out), swing dancing at Glen Echo Park, Adoration at one of DC's many parishes and taking advantage of some of the great opportunities that DC provides. The activity is always secondary to the company. Sometimes, the most pleasurable experience is just to sit next to someone in the silence and take in the beauty around or get lost in a book.
37, Arlington, VAl've been living in the DC area for almost 5 years and loving it!! I'm originally from peru, where I was very involved with the Church through a community called La Vida Cristiana. I came to the US to do a masters in public health, and I now working with a international organization within the immunization field. I love my work because I feel as though I'm helping the less fortunate and improving their quality of life. It's a bit stressful at times but well worth it. I find being on Catholic Match a bit odd as I would prefer to meet people in a more organic way, but my priest-friend encouraged to put up a profile. So here I am. Faith and family are the two most important values in my life. I also love travel, meeting new people, dancing, reading and simply enjoying the goodness of this life that God has so generously given us.

I'm crazy about my family and fiercely loyal to my daughters and grands. A life-long learner, you will find me in an evening class most semesters. 33, Hampton, VAI am a mom to a wonderful four year old little boy in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. I attend the same church that I have been part of since I was baptized there as a baby, and I was married there to my first husband. He lost his battle with cancer earlier this year and we celebrated his funeral Mass at that same church as well. My faith is a very important part to my life, and something that guides many of my decisions. I am an active person, having lost 150 pounds on my own from my heaviest weight (back at the end of my college days). I participate in a cross-fit style gym program that has helped me achieve many fitness goals. I love going to the gym and getting my sweat on with my friends at 5am every weekday. I enjoy an active lifestyle and engaging in new adventures (like the Adventure Park in Virginia Beach or Busch Gardens in Williamsburg). I am a teacher at a small, local, private school.
