29, Norfolk, VAI am a teacher, and I love my job! I spend most of my time at school, but I enjoy getting a chance to get home to visit with my parents. I have two sisters, and even though we live far apart now, I enjoy every chance I get to spend time with them. In my time away from school/work I like reading, cooking, history, and I love spending time with friends. Even if we are just staying in and hanging out, we have a great time! I enjoy spending time outdoors, whether I am at the beach or in the mountains. I also enjoy staying in and having a quiet afternoon reading or watching movies. I have recently moved to the Norfolk area, and I am still settling in to the area.
57, Sterling, VAHi! I live in Potomac Falls, grew up in Falls Church. I'm from a large, fun family. I've been a widow since Jan. '01, and have a high school aged daughter. She is the joy of my life and keeps me very busy! I enjoy the outdoors - walking my dog, hiking, biking, golf, the beach, the mountains. I also enjoy the indoors - cooking, watching movies, sitting by the fireplace. I listen to classic rock but enjoy many other styles of music. My friends describe me as fun, easy-going, dependable and flexible. They also say I look 10 years younger than my actual age.
61, Charlottesville, VAWho am I? Good question. I'm a woman filled with love for God looking for someone to spend the twilight years with. I have experienced much in my life already...ups and downs...as many of us do. I like to remember the ups and not worry about the downs. It is the downs that have strengthened me though so I am thankful for them. I wasn't always a practicing Catholic but am so thankful that God never left my side and brought me back so many years ago. It's hard to talk about oneself in this way, but would love to talk and share my past life experiences with you and God willing make new ones together.
33, Arlington, VAHey there! Found it was pretty hard to meet people organically, so thought I would give this a try. Born and raised in the nova area, but only moved back to the area about 18 months ago. I work for a Catholic nonprofit doing mostly graphic design with a handful of other communications bits and pieces. I love love love live music, traveling, hiking, running, Jeopardy, museums.. I used to speak Italian relatively well, so currently trying to relearn. I am an English citizen (dual) and have spent some of my life living in the UK which I think has affected my sense of humor - I can be quite sarcastic and dry. I've always had a bit of wanderlust, so not sure where I'll end up and don't seem to stay in the same place for too too long, although that's not to say I wouldn't settle down at some point. Anything else, just ask!
50, Lynchburg, VAI'm a free-spirited, fun-loving, down-to-earth lady. I am fairly independent and I have a wonderful sense of humor. I am an open book yet I manage to leave an aura of mystery about myself. I believe that life is an incredible adventure, even more so if you can find wonderful people to share it with. We all create our own life experience and I am having a fabulous time creating mine. I would love to meet someone who's having as good a time as I am. I enjoy the usual things - music, movies, hiking, hanging at the beach, checking out new restaurants and reading. I am spontaneous and curious by nature so I am usually up for anything once, as long as it's legal. I enjoy the company of people who are positive, open-minded, intelligent and creative. In a man, I admire thoughtfulness, honesty, intelligence, humor ,confidence, strength and sensitivity. I would love to meet an intelligent, witty, spontaneous man. Someone who believes that life is great and every day is an adventure!

45, Clifton, VAHey there. I can't guarantee you that we already have a lot in common - but if you read on and find out we do - you should message me! I want someone who will be upfront, honest, and I will do the same. It would be nice to have someone who would enjoy going to Nashville, San Diego or The Outer Banks to check out the local eateries and sites. There's nothing like a good dinner and then going for a walk with a great companion at sunset! But it's give and take too, and I won't complain when you take me along shopping at Home Depot or while I help you pick out a suit at the mall! I understand that being together is the most important part of a relationship no matter what we are doing (besides communication, of course). I'd like to think I'm a simple-no baggage girl. I have a great career, but my biggest weakness is probably coffee. I'm now looking for a relationship, but I'm not looking to jump into anything without getting to know someone first. I've never been married, so I'm pretty sure it won't kill me to take things slow and make sure we are compatible. If you are divorced with an annulment, I'm totally OK with that. Anyways I think I wrote enough for now. Anything else feel free to ask or save for the first date [?] Don't be bashful!
21, Norfolk, VAI study Chemistry at Virginia Tech. When I'm not working on lab reports, I enjoy hanging out with friends, watching Netflix, or caving. I am active in the Music Ministry.
26, Greenbackville, VAWhat am I passionate about? For me, two things have been front and center for much of my life - the Church and outer space. Starting in college, I got more and more involved with my campus ministry and parish life. Time spent at Mass and bible study are often among the highlights of my week. On the other hand, I have been fascinated with space since I was a child. Now it's become what I do - design and launch rockets. I often feel like I have the best job in the world. The rest of the time I wonder why I have such a demanding and at times frustrating job. In my free time, I like to spend time outside mainly walking, running, and looking for wild ponies (there are rockets and ponies here!). I also enjoy making puzzles and reading about science and techonology. I can be quiet at times and I'm always happy to sit and read a book.
59, Haymarket, VABorn in Texas where most of my mom's family is rooted. I am a second generation Polish-American. Paternal grandfather immigrated in 1908 and settled in/near Pittsburg, PA (little Washington) and my maternal grandfather came to this country from Poland into Galveston, Tx. I am very proud of my polish roots and upbringing. I spent high school and college in northern California-a UC Berkeley graduate, receiving my commission in the navy via Naval ROTC program. 20 years later I retired, having spent many tours of duty all over the world. Have been a defense contractor every since. 2 of my kids were born in Hawaii! I do know what an authentic birth certificate from Hawaii looks like..Starting a new chapter in my life. My experience as a career naval officer was pretty important in molding my outlook on life. I used to like sailing, but hard to get the time of late. I have never colored my hair or had any plastic surgery...not sure why folks do that when we are supposed to grow old gracefully.....but, you are as young as you feel and act. My dog loves to walk and so do I! He is 11 and half lab, half ridge-back hound--very handsome. I love dogs, all kinds, but prefer the lab size.
