I am 61 and I have two grown sons who live with me. I have 6 grandchildren ranging from 22 yrs old to 5 yrs. I am passionate about my catholic faith and my family. The person most influential in my life was my mom. She was the strongest, resilient, and most independent person I ever knew. I love listening to a wide selection of music, such as golden oldies, country, classical, Christmas and Church hymns are probably my most favorite. If I was having a trying time, I'd listen to either church hymns, or Christmas music. No one can stay upset for very long when you listen to either of those. After my divorce, I checked with my parish priest on how I go about getting an annulment. After some discussion, because I never got permission to marry outside of my faith, my marriage in the eyes of the catholic church, is invalid. Father said, when I find someone I want to marry, we will, at that point, fill out the forms and send it in. No annulment is needed, thank the good Lord. I was baptized into the catholic faith when I was about a week old. I have attended catholic schools all of my life. I was born and raised in Hawaii. My family still lives there and I try to go home as often as possible. (The economic times being what they are, I don't get to go home as often as I'd like). I've played sports most of my life. Volleyball, Soccer, Softball, Golf (trying to play, is the operative word) I enjoy watching sports (NFL, MLB) on TV too. I have lived in Vancouver, WA since 1978. I enjoy the great Vancouver/Portland area. It's a small town feel, with the large city advantages. I have my 2 dogs at home. A 12 yr old male weiner, and a 5 year old female chiweiner. If you have any questions, please ask. That's how people get to know one another, by asking questions and just talking.

Greetings! I realize how important it is for me to share my life with someone who lives from a faith perspective, enjoys a healthy lifestyle, and shares a sense of adventure. As a high school teacher my outlook is enthusiastic and I love learning. Looking forward to a deep and lasting relationship, based on trust, honesty, and a zest for life. That's it!

Hi there, I am passionate about my Catholic faith and helping a team of volunteers provide winter overnight shelter for people without homes during the coldest winter months. I love to dance and go to movies and other venues. I am a retiree from a Fortune 500 company where I worked for 35 years. My husband of 30 years passed about three years ago. I'm not real comfortable exploring this process but I thought I would "put my toe in the water" so to speak. I do value my faith so sharing time with someone else who values their Catholic faith seems like a "win-win". I stay pretty busy helping to run the homeless shelter program but I do miss having someone to go to movies with, dance with, etc.

Cradle Catholic practicing my faith. I am easy going, friendly, blessed with pretty good health, and try to see the glass half full. I love dogs! I do talk to them, so beware. I love to be outdoors walking, swimming, camping, canoeing, or just hanging out in a scenic place with a friend, and if I am alone, reading something interesting or a trip to the gym to swim and lift light weights on some of the machines. I am a sports fan. I love the funny commercials I must admit. Right now its the Seahawks of course but I used to be loyal to the Broncos and before that the Chargers since I grew up in San Diego. Overall, though, I don't watch much TV. I would watch more if there were more funny things like Candid Camera and the perfectly clean Carol Burnett show I watched with my family as a child in the 1970s. I enjoy dancing and when I'm around music, especially live, it's very hard for me not to break out in dance. Seriously. Last week Elvis Presley was at the Car Show and before I knew it I was dancing my way into the middle of the plaza where there was room to do so. Elvis saw me and beckoned me forth to meet him. He took my hand, kissed my cheek, and gave me a red scarf! I hope you can do things like that too. I hope to find someone who enjoys music and dancing, or at least wiling to learn one of the steps. Swing is my favorite! Dancing is great exercise and a lovely romantic way of connecting with a partner. I love all kinds of music especially live bands. I enjoy many activities and am open to try new things. I can usually have a great time doing just about anything with the right group of people, or person. Is that person you? After work, I look forward to chill time, which might be as simple as a fast paced walk around the nearby lake, or having a great conversation or shared laughter with a friend over the phone. When I have more time, I love to explore new places and experience new things.

I would describe myself as honest, caring, with good sense of humor. A good healthy laugh is always fun. I am looking for someone who wants to have fun and experience the exciting beauty and joy of life. Spiritual depth is also important to me. I'd like to have someone who enjoys sharing ideas and experiences. Would love to attend plays, concerts and day trips. Dinner, a movie night, getting together with friends all the good things together.

  • Annette, 47 from Medical Lake, WA
    47, Medical Lake, WA
Who am I? I am a self-sufficient mother of two beautiful young ladies. I am gainfully employed as a nurse with prior military experience. I am close to my family, which, in true Catholic tradition consists of many siblings. I have no interest in casual hook-ups, games or drama. I'm not great at the written word, other than reading it, so I'm having my friends help me write this profile. However, I do find quick wit, humor, and sarcasm a few of my favorite mediums. The love of my life needs to be able to laugh with me, at me, and at himself. Who are you? You are looking for long term love. Your time is too important to you to waste on hook-ups or staying in a negative situation. You value family, friendships, and love learning. You want a woman who makes you laugh, who makes you crazy with passion, and who you cannot believe youve made it this far without. You are someone who understands that life is full of twists and turns, but you can improvise, adapt and overcome. I love being outdoors, whether its hiking, going for a walk, kayaking, or...I enjoy home improvement projects, gardening, or anything to do with being on or near water. I am happy to go out, but I also relish passionate evenings at home, or snuggling on the couch watching a favorite show or movie.
  • Anna, 30 from Yakima, WA
    30, Yakima, WA
My passions: Roman Catholicism, Karaoke singing (You should request "Sweet Child of Mine" at the local won't regret it), holding babies, making others laugh and having them reciprocate the favor, wine tasting, trying to get my dog to love me, then wine tasting again when he doesn't, forming close relationships with my friends (who become like family), trying to get Amy Poehler to return my calls, and puttin' in werk in the kitchen. Ron Burgundy was really quoting me when he said "I'm kind of a big deal." Do you like gin and tonics and gettin' caught in the rain? You do? Sweet, keep reading. You don't? Get your priorities straight. Whilst drinking my Chestnut Praline americano at Starbucks and reflecting upon my life, I'm struck by how difficult it is to convey who I am in a few short words. Therefore, i will use some long ones: unpretended, sentimental, conscientious. Now that that is out of the way, I'd like to reference a quote that gives my life meaning: "WAKE, PRAY, SLAY." In all seriousness, one of my greatest passions in life is my faith, as evidenced by the fact that I signed up for CatholicMatch.

I appreciate the very simple things in life especially being outdoors and going for long walks on the trail with my golden retriever. I admire the beauty and mystery of the ocean and majestic mountains. Nature inspires me to think about the wonders of the world and appreciate creation. I loved reading Pope Frances's encyclical letter, "Laudato Si' " published in 2015 advocating the need to protect the environment. I love gardening and cooking wholesome, delicious food to feed the body and reading scripture to feed the mind and spirit.
  • Janet, 29 from Hamilton, NZ
    29, Hamilton, NZ
Hi, nice to meet you! My name is Janet, I was born in Taiwan, but grew up in Hamilton and call New Zealand my home. I'm an Otago alumni, currently working back in the Tron in the health sector. My family has always been the most important & influential part of my life. I was brought up as a Catholic from young and are glad to have God in my life to keep me on the right track & have someone to turn to in times of need. I do not consider myself as a strict catholic but I'm glad to have continuously kept in touch with the church by attending weekly masses most of the time and also involved in church liturgy groups by being a reader of the bible, singing in the church youth choir, playing the violin in the ensemble group, and had been involved in teaching the children's liturgy for a while. In my spare time, I played piano and violin and liked to listen to both classical and pop music. I also enjoyed singing, for which I've recently started learning from a private tutor. I also enjoyed watching TV dramas, documentaries and some anime. Even though I'm not as active as before due to having ACL reconstruction on my knee many years ago, I used to do karate, and enjoyed playing table tennis and badminton. Currently, what I look forward to the most is to work hard during the year, save some money to go travelling during the holidays to experience different cultures and at the same time visiting my dear family living overseas. Therefore, I'm interested to meet with like-minded Catholics, to get to know each other more in the hope of may be developing a long term relationship.

My faith and family are very important to me. I am also loyal, honest, loves to travel the world, try new things/adventures, loves to socialise with friends, into a variety of music and TV/movie genres, loves to bake, and I try not take myself too serious.
  • Lira, 27 from Perth, AU
    27, Perth, AU
Working in a busy field has taught me to love my life away from it. Work is a passion, but so is travelling and relaxing. Movies and reading counts as awesome nights in for me. Especially anything sci-fi/fantasy (read: I am a super geek and I love Star Wars). I range between talkative to liking long silences as I tend to get lost in my own thoughts. I am considerate though this can be overshadowed by my love for sarcasm. I am introverted so I love my stay at home nights where I can just read or watch the night away. But I am quite active so going and walking around is always a fun activity. My life revolves around coffee =p and I am as passionate for my work as I am for going on holidays and watching movies (especially anything sci fi!) and sports. Church and my faith are and always will be an important aspect of my life.
