62, Menomonie, WII love dancing, anything from line dancing to mazurkas, from polkas to waltzes. I enjoy camping and gardening, going for walks, bike rides. Motorcycles are a thrill! I like swimming and boating. My son-in-law taught me fly-fishing on my last trip to Montana. I'm not afraid to bait my own hook or take the fish off the hook. Or I might just read a book or knit while my fishing partner lands the entre. ;-) I am a member of a chamber choir in town, and I sing and play my guitar in a folk choir for Mass. I love to perform in musicals in our local historical theater, and I have also performed in a group that does Peter, Paul and Mary type singing. Lots of fun! I come from a large family, and we get together fairly often. Three of my 4 children are married and through them I have 9 grandchildren. They are indeed blessings. I'm a pretty laid back person. I don't get upset about much - it isn't worth the energy. I enjoy having get togethers at my house and play games - indoor or out. I enjoy children - Before I retired, I worked at an elementary school, and the favorite part of my job was caring for children when they come into the office needing help with injuries or illnesses. I was married for 31 years, and after my husband's death from cancer in 2008, I have learned how important it is to go through life with a thankful heart for what God has given me. I have become stronger in my faith and wish to continue to grow in it.
30, Eau Claire, WISince I have (until recently) been involved in active youth ministry for over 7 years, I have had the opportunity to introduce myself a lot. My name was usually accompanied by a random fact (like the story about how my great great uncle was kidnapped by Al Capone - truth), or some weird comparison about what kind of candy bar I would be. Hahaha. :D But I'll spare you that today. As you might guess, I am passionate about people - especially youth. The influence in my high school years of a few key adults who were in love with Christ changed my life, and inspired me to want to help others in the same way. I am also passionate about stories, whether in books, movies, or TV. Stories matter; they change us; they affect who we are. That's why we love them! :) It's the same with music, about which I am also passionate. I am a lover of the True, the Good, and the Beautiful, wherever it may be found. That's why I also love the Church and the God who gave her to us. :) In the hands of Christ, all of life is an adventure - even the hard parts. On the leisurely days of this adventure, I may be found watching movies, playing games, hanging out with family or friends, dancing, playing guitar, writing songs, reading a good book, or writing a novel - literally (pun intended ;D ). I might also be caught, on a gorgeous day, just taking in some of the beauty of creation.
25, Chippewa Falls, WII've lived in a few states in my life but I'm back in my favorite one. I enjoy traveling when I get the opportunity and want to continue to travel as much as I can even if it's around the United States. I mean, have you looked at photos of our National Parks?! I enjoy writing haikus about the random things in my life, painting when I get a chance, and spending time with friends. I could spend hours putting together puzzles and playing outdoor games. I love a good mix of laughing and serious conversations. I'm a middle school teacher so I don't take things too seriously when possible though because the kids literally say the funniest things.
23, Eau Claire, WII'm a relatively new convert to the Faith who loves the Church! I'm passionate about the outdoors and love to camp and hike, especially on the North Shore of Lake Superior. My family is extremely important to me, and we are very close. I am passionate about the field of healthcare and I'm excited to start my career.Whether it's the sanctuary of a shrine, the bustle of the hospital, or the calmness of the woods, I love to encounter the beauty of God wherever I go.
32, Stevens Point, WII am passionate about learning and I am proud of my academic and professional achievements. However, they do not define me rather I am inspired by my grandmother and mother. They taught me how to be resilient and humble. I am looking forward to connecting with a match with qualities and attributes that complement mine so that we can embark on a shared life together.
29, Spring Valley, WIFirst and foremost, my Faith is extremely important to me. I am a Christian and strive to live by my Faith everyday. I consider myself a "shy" extrovert--it takes me a while to warm up to people, but I get my energy from being around people (odd, I know). I love to laugh, and it is not difficult to get me to laugh. I am constantly yearning to learn new things albeit knowledge, skill, food, etc...I love to travel, read books (mostly novels), watch films, cook. I have grown up with a strong foundation and my family and friends are extremely important to me. Though I love to soak up knowledge, I also take value in experience and observation to live life by.
61, La Crosse, WII'm passionate about living life to it's fullest. I love to laugh and share all the experiences that life throws at me. I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I enjoy traveling and love visiting churches everywhere I go. History, art and music are also an important part of my life. I have a degree in vocal performance and enjoy sharing my talent in the church. I have cantored, performed solo singing and/or sung in choirs for most of my life. I also enjoy nature, golf, biking, reading, wine tasting and watching sporting events. Animals are another passion of mine. I want to start volunteering in the local humane society when I get time. I enjoy working on genealogy for both myself and other people. I find it very rewarding to help people find their lost ancestors.
25, La Crosse, WII'm very laid back. People say I'm quiet but I'm really not, once you get to know me. I enjoy reading, drawing and writing in my spare time. I love the outdoors and taking pictures on hikes and walks. I like to be active. In the summer I enjoy camping and biking and in the winter...well, watching movies and taking walks.
62, La Crosse, WII love sports, the arts, good food (Like to cook, but not a chef!) burgers and beer to fine dining and wine, live music, flea markets and antique shops, flowers and gardening, talking and being quiet. I'm loyal to my family and friends, and I feel comfortable in new situations and with new people. I work as a Speech/Language Pathologist, so good communication is a BIG deal to me. I love watching TV (especially DIY and PBS), but not most current shows. I enjoy walking/hiking, bike rides, and playing friendly tennis. I love morning light, especially in the summer on my days off! I live in jeans, but I love dressing up. Having the family for holidays, and helping them feel pampered and special is very important to me. I love board games and the card games I know, : ). I guess, I like a lot of different things, I like to try new things, and I enjoy spending time with people who are easy going, like to have fun, and can laugh at themselves. I value honesty and unapologetic living of my faith.
37, Wisconsin Rapids, WII just read a beautiful story written by a fifteen year old. It described Love perfectly and that's no easy feat. It ended, of course, with the perfect Sacrifice. Sacrificial love knows no bounds. JPII writes "Do not forget that true love sets no conditions. It does not calculate or complain, but simply loves." We must die to ourselves in order to will the good of another person. Christy's food for thought for the day ;)
18, Weston, WII come from a big traditional Catholic family. I am the third oldest out of my brothers and sisters(10 kids). Looking forward to being a wife and mother. So just waiting to see what path God has for me. Free feel to ask any questions.
27, Wausau, WISo. I'm Marie. To start, I've been named a trustee for the partnership running the dairy farm from my mother's side of the family, provided it isn't sold. Since that reduces my ability to relocate greatly, if you are unable to relocate to my area, feel free to stop reading now. I once heard someone say about themselves "I'm a workhorse, not a show pony." I'm similar to that because I work hard and usually worry about helping others before I'll worry about or take time for myself, so I"m bad at taking "me" time. Down time for me is as simple as staying in to watch TV or a movie, going to a movie, reading a book, the simple things. Maybe I'll go away for a day or two, but that's my typical limit before I get restless and need to go back home. I grew up helping on the family farms in both sides of my family, although there's just the one now since Grandpa retired from the other. Off the farm, I'm looking for another full-time job again while I continue working my part-time job and pet-sitting for family, friends, and their connections. So if you're from the Central Wisconsin area or able to relocate to it and would be interested in someone who knows a work-hard lifestyle that's passionate about what she loves, I'd love the chance to talk to you. :)
