61, Menomonie, WII just returned (9/16) from my son's wedding in Germany. All three of my children were married in the last 16 months, all in Catholic churches! My two daughters, their husbands and my ex-husband and I were all able to attend the wedding in Germany. One daughter is pregnant. It has been a busy and happy time. My recent trip has inspired me to get out and explore. I am no longer a member of Catholic Match, but will participate in the Fall Colors Trip in southern Wisconsin in 10/16. I look forward to meeting new people, touring Amish country and sharing Mass with everyone. I like the arts, being outdoors, sunshine, strong coffee, talking with friends, pretty things, social justice. I am a good person who has sought to live an authentic, honest life. Love science fiction books and movies; Netflix is the best! I am a licensed psychotherapist who works with children, couples, individuals and families. I have worked hard to build, then rebuild, a unique and balanced life. It's a keeper. I also own a business unrelated to my profession. I'm in the planning stages for writing a history book. I married at age 24 and was divorced at age 39. My children are all in their 20s. I have had one deeply serious relationship since my divorce. I graduated from college at age 22 w/a degree in journalism, was a newspaper editor and reporter in three states for 21 years. I was accepted into graduate school at age 43 and became licensed several years later. My right arm is disabled due to a car crash in 1999; I have grown so comfortable with that I forget I'm disabled.
35, Eau Claire, WIHopefully my profile gives you a sense of who I am. A few words to describe me: faith, family, friends, outdoors, travel. I search to know and understand the truth - I love learning in general. I am very close to my family, and cannot imagine my life without them. I make frequent trips to the Twin Cities to visit family and friends. I spend a lot of time outdoors (x-country skiing, trail running, hiking, biking, snowshoeing, canoeing/kayaking, camping etc), but also enjoy sitting in front of a fire, holding a good conversation, reading, and playing games. I love to travel and have had the opportunity to see a lot of amazing places and meet wonderful people. I enjoy my job as a professor. My colleagues are great and I love my students. In the past I have led kayaking trips in the Apostle Islands for a nonprofit organization - a fantastic summer job. I am continually trying to grow into the woman God is calling me to be. Please ask me about anything else you wish to know.
62, Menomonie, WII love dancing, anything from line dancing to mazurkas, from polkas to waltzes. I enjoy camping and gardening, going for walks, bike rides. Motorcycles are a thrill! I like swimming and boating. My son-in-law taught me fly-fishing on my last trip to Montana. I'm not afraid to bait my own hook or take the fish off the hook. Or I might just read a book or knit while my fishing partner lands the entre. ;-) I am a member of a chamber choir in town, and I sing and play my guitar in a folk choir for Mass. I love to perform in musicals in our local historical theater, and I have also performed in a group that does Peter, Paul and Mary type singing. Lots of fun! I come from a large family, and we get together fairly often. Three of my 4 children are married and through them I have 9 grandchildren. They are indeed blessings. I'm a pretty laid back person. I don't get upset about much - it isn't worth the energy. I enjoy having get togethers at my house and play games - indoor or out. I enjoy children - Before I retired, I worked at an elementary school, and the favorite part of my job was caring for children when they come into the office needing help with injuries or illnesses. I was married for 31 years, and after my husband's death from cancer in 2008, I have learned how important it is to go through life with a thankful heart for what God has given me. I have become stronger in my faith and wish to continue to grow in it.
62, Amherst, WIGod, family and friends are the most important things in my life. I am very active and like to attend plays and concerts at times. I have grandkids that I love spending time with whenever our schedules permit. I like reading when I have time, watching movies sometimes and flower-gardening. I enjoy volunteering, as well.
56, Wausau, WII am just checking this place out. I am hoping the Lord has someone in mind for me but have prayed and am willing to accept His will in my life. I have been single since 1998 and pretty set in my ways, so I am not sure how I would do in a relationship. Part of me, however, would really like someone to spend my life with.
68, Chippewa Falls, WII have recently retired, and have to say that for me, it is so much better than having to go to work every day. God has blessed me that I am able to experience it.
25, Chippewa Falls, WII've lived in a few states in my life but I'm back in my favorite one. I enjoy traveling when I get the opportunity and want to continue to travel as much as I can even if it's around the United States. I mean, have you looked at photos of our National Parks?! I enjoy writing haikus about the random things in my life, painting when I get a chance, and spending time with friends. I could spend hours putting together puzzles and playing outdoor games. I love a good mix of laughing and serious conversations. I'm a middle school teacher so I don't take things too seriously when possible though because the kids literally say the funniest things.
66, Marshfield, WII'm closing in on retirement and would like to have a strong Catholic man to share life with. Walks in the park, picnics in the backyard, going for rides in the country, bike riding around town. Coffee and breakfast together after Sunday Mass. I enjoy gardening and working around the yard, sitting in the shade reading a good book. I love to travel, I've been to Italy and Spain. My next trip might be a pilgrimage to Ireland.
66, La Crosse, WII love being with people whether it be a crowd or just one. I also value my time to be by myself. I think I have a pretty good sense of humor but I can be serious too. I love kids! I like baseball games, concerts, and church related activities. I'm still working but retirement is right around the corner. After retirement I plan on keeping busy with volunteer work at the school my grandchildren attend and at the church I am presently employed at.. I love watching old classic movies, listening to music and going for long walks. Traveling is something that I love to do and after retirement I hope to do more of it. I am a member of the NRA and have a concealed carry permit as well as the Utah permit. I believe I have the right and responsibility to protect myself if the need arises. I have respect for the police but I also realize that phone call away could mean minutes in coming to my rescue! Sometimes a girl just has to take care of herself! I "won" my first Glock 9mm at a sportsman fundraiser and my former pastor told everybody his DRE was packing! All kidding aside, it's serious business and I do not take it lightly! Update: I have decided that I will continue to serve as the DRE at our parish for a bit longer. We have been clustered with the Cathedral and my pastor has been transferred. As with all major changes like this within a parish many people are concerned about what is going to happen with their parish. I think that now is not the time for me to leave and a familiar face during the transition would benefit not only myself but the parishioners that I serve. So, although thinking and planning about retirement was a pleasant pasttime , I now have to roll up my sleeves and help make this change less painful. The priests from the Cathedral are wonderful and it will be a pleasure working with them.
29, Spring Valley, WIFirst and foremost, my Faith is extremely important to me. I am a Christian and strive to live by my Faith everyday. I consider myself a "shy" extrovert--it takes me a while to warm up to people, but I get my energy from being around people (odd, I know). I love to laugh, and it is not difficult to get me to laugh. I am constantly yearning to learn new things albeit knowledge, skill, food, etc...I love to travel, read books (mostly novels), watch films, cook. I have grown up with a strong foundation and my family and friends are extremely important to me. Though I love to soak up knowledge, I also take value in experience and observation to live life by.
61, La Crosse, WII'm passionate about living life to it's fullest. I love to laugh and share all the experiences that life throws at me. I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I enjoy traveling and love visiting churches everywhere I go. History, art and music are also an important part of my life. I have a degree in vocal performance and enjoy sharing my talent in the church. I have cantored, performed solo singing and/or sung in choirs for most of my life. I also enjoy nature, golf, biking, reading, wine tasting and watching sporting events. Animals are another passion of mine. I want to start volunteering in the local humane society when I get time. I enjoy working on genealogy for both myself and other people. I find it very rewarding to help people find their lost ancestors.
21, Wausau, WII am passionate about my faith, freinds and family. I have definitely been deeply influenced by the priests and religious of the Institute of Christ the King also by my family members =) In my leisure time I like to paint, draw, build, sing, play guitar, spend time with friends and be with family and a bunch of other things lol =)
