I just returned (9/16) from my son's wedding in Germany. All three of my children were married in the last 16 months, all in Catholic churches! My two daughters, their husbands and my ex-husband and I were all able to attend the wedding in Germany. One daughter is pregnant. It has been a busy and happy time. My recent trip has inspired me to get out and explore. I am no longer a member of Catholic Match, but will participate in the Fall Colors Trip in southern Wisconsin in 10/16. I look forward to meeting new people, touring Amish country and sharing Mass with everyone. I like the arts, being outdoors, sunshine, strong coffee, talking with friends, pretty things, social justice. I am a good person who has sought to live an authentic, honest life. Love science fiction books and movies; Netflix is the best! I am a licensed psychotherapist who works with children, couples, individuals and families. I have worked hard to build, then rebuild, a unique and balanced life. It's a keeper. I also own a business unrelated to my profession. I'm in the planning stages for writing a history book. I married at age 24 and was divorced at age 39. My children are all in their 20s. I have had one deeply serious relationship since my divorce. I graduated from college at age 22 w/a degree in journalism, was a newspaper editor and reporter in three states for 21 years. I was accepted into graduate school at age 43 and became licensed several years later. My right arm is disabled due to a car crash in 1999; I have grown so comfortable with that I forget I'm disabled.

  • Monnie, 61 from Milwaukee, WI
    61, Milwaukee, WI
I'm passionate about singing, music, working out, painting and my two adult kids. I always look forward to seeing my son and daughter. I look forward to long walks, selling my paintings, singing and sports. One of my best friends is an elderly woman (x professor) who always believed in and encouraged me to do things I never thought I could do. She's been there for me when things have been very good or not good. I'm friends with her daughter, as well. My mom had quite a few kids, but she shared her strength through her faith specifically with me. I enjoy my faith, as I'm the only sibling who practices and embraces it. I've watched how the sacraments have helped, sustained and supported me during tough times. I enjoy painting (acrylic) and listening to music and working out. I'm also a great cook and love to make food, soups, Greek dishes and Mediterranean meals.

  • Kathy, 64 from Neenah, WI
    64, Neenah, WI
I am an enthusiastic person who loves life; I express this love as a lay Secular (Third Order) Franciscan. We follow in the footsteps of St. Francis, trying to be there for our neighbors weather they be rich or poor, sick or healthy, smart or not so smart. I try to give my all to people, trying to be kind and compassionate. I try to see people where they are and not force my beliefs on them. I pray by my example they may want to find Christ and what He will give them. I love to talk with people, not so much online as, on the phone or in person. I don't play games with people emotions, I try to be honest, respectful and sincere in my relationships and expect that in return I enjoy the outdoors: camping, hiking and swimming . I would like to travel, especially to Europe as a pilgrim and tourist to Catholic churches/shrines. Attending daily Mass is a favorite privilege of mine. Going to a weekly bible study is something I treasure, the friendships and the knowledge I have attained this past year are priceless. I recently joined the choir at church and look forward to singing during Holy week and on Easter. I love to sew. I garden and I enjoy cooking with someone, especially healthy food. I am part time pre-school teacher and a traveling nanny Children are very special to me, I love their openness and willingness to forgive. I enjoy being with my grandchildren. My husband died of cancer, seven years ago, which made me a widow. My dad died 7 years ago also. My mom lived with me after his death. She died Feb 4 2015 at age 94. She was a real sport and went camping with me! I hope I can be just a little like her when I am 94.

I'm a very caring and compassionate person. My faith plays an important part in my life. I enjoy reading on a daily basis. I listen to 50's-60's music and also enjoy country. I try to live a healthy lifestyle. In the summer I like going to festivals and listening to the music and dancing. I enjoy rummage sales and flea markets. I enjoy going out and having fun but also enjoy being home watching a movie in front of a fire. I lost my husband to cancer 6 years ago after a 41 year marriage. He was my best friend and I am finally ready to move on and hopefully find another best friend to share my life with. I am an avid Packer fan and enjoy going to Brewer games. My family and grandkids are very important to me. If any of my profile interests you, I'd enjoy hearing from you.

  • Barbara, 66 from Appleton, WI
    66, Appleton, WI
Every day is a gift from God, waiting to be opened! How will you unwrap it? I enjoy waking up every day, knowing I'll learn something new. Now we have more time to relax with friends and family. I would enjoy spending time with a special friend, doing things together that would enhance both of our lives. If love comes from that friendship, that would be wonderful. I am a trusting individual who is looking for the same type of man for friendship. I enjoy spending some time with my three children (all wonderful men), their wives and nine grandchildren, seeing their eyes light up with the innocence of youth, I enjoy spending leisure time in my flower gardens and feeding/observing wildlife. I walk several times a week with my dog for exercise. I enjoy a wide variety of activities and news programs, musicals and movies, and more.

It would be great to meet someone who enjoys traveling as well as all the comforts of home, having fun getting exercise, sharing conversations over dinner that makes us feel good-easy to laugh. A kind heart. I value compassion and model patience, forgiveness, and tolerance. I am looking forward to meeting somone to enjoy the rest of our lives together as practicing Catholics.
  • Donna, 66 from La Crosse, WI
    66, La Crosse, WI
I love being with people whether it be a crowd or just one. I also value my time to be by myself. I think I have a pretty good sense of humor but I can be serious too. I love kids! I like baseball games, concerts, and church related activities. I'm still working but retirement is right around the corner. After retirement I plan on keeping busy with volunteer work at the school my grandchildren attend and at the church I am presently employed at.. I love watching old classic movies, listening to music and going for long walks. Traveling is something that I love to do and after retirement I hope to do more of it. I am a member of the NRA and have a concealed carry permit as well as the Utah permit. I believe I have the right and responsibility to protect myself if the need arises. I have respect for the police but I also realize that phone call away could mean minutes in coming to my rescue! Sometimes a girl just has to take care of herself! I "won" my first Glock 9mm at a sportsman fundraiser and my former pastor told everybody his DRE was packing! All kidding aside, it's serious business and I do not take it lightly! Update: I have decided that I will continue to serve as the DRE at our parish for a bit longer. We have been clustered with the Cathedral and my pastor has been transferred. As with all major changes like this within a parish many people are concerned about what is going to happen with their parish. I think that now is not the time for me to leave and a familiar face during the transition would benefit not only myself but the parishioners that I serve. So, although thinking and planning about retirement was a pleasant pasttime , I now have to roll up my sleeves and help make this change less painful. The priests from the Cathedral are wonderful and it will be a pleasure working with them.
  • Sandra, 65 from Manitowoc, WI
    65, Manitowoc, WI
Hi, my name is Sandy. I believe that every day is a blessing, age is just a number and you're never to old to try something new. I believe you should begin as friends and see if it develops into something deeper. I'm easy going and always try to see the good in people. My family is most important to me. My daughters and their families still live on the east coast and I wish I could spend more time with them; but, I look forward to seeing them whenever I can. I have a granddaughter, who is the light of my life. Friends have described me as funny, friendly, loving, happy, kind-hearted, romantic, warm and sensitive. If you would like someone with these qualities, I'm right here - send me a message. I enjoy playing cards (UNO, Poker & Cribbage) and whenever my family gets together, we love to play board games. I love to dance and enjoy reading. I like to fish, travel, am a history buff, enjoy flea markets, sunsets, dining in and out and love anything on or near the water.
