Our story starts way back in the summer of 2002 when Aaron and I met in
Churubusco, IN. I was home from New York visiting my dad, who at the time, owned
a restaurant next to the store where Aaron worked.
I was helping him at his store one day when he asked me to deliver a burger next door. One thing I really remember about that encounter is that Aaron gave me a $5.00 tip for a $3.00 burger. I
thought he was very sweet but did not think about the possibility of a
relationship because of the distance between us. However, since we both had things in
common-we are both musicians and songwriters- we decided to exchange email
addresses and throughout the years we spoke sporadically. My dad always
envisioned us together and remember he was the one who initially introduced us when he asked me to deliver Aaron's burger.
One day about 7
years later after attending mass I picked up the church bulletin and noticed an
ad for Catholic Match.com and decided to join. After a few months, with no
success, I was matched up with Aaron. I thought it was a bit strange and also
thought to myself, "what if we're meant to be together" but quickly disregarded
the possibility since we were in different states. One day I called my
dad and asked him if he told Aaron that I was on Catholic Match cause I figured,
what were the chances of the two of us being matched up. My dad said he had no
idea I was on Catholic Match and told me he never mentioned anything to
Aaron.
Back in Indiana, Aaron's office was across the street from a Catholic Church. One day the priest from that parish came over to Aaron's store to ask him for
help with the church website. The priest handed him a copy of the church
bulletin so that he could have an idea of how to design the website. Well Aaron
noticed the ad for Catholic Match on the bulletin and decided to give it a try.
The rest is history.
Aaron and I have developed a long distance but
meaningful relationship. I am planning to move to Indiana and we are now
engaged. We plan, with God's help to be married by October of 2009. We fell in
love in October 2008 when we saw each other after so many years.
