Doreen and I are going to join in Marriage on August 8-8-08. We live 700
miles apart and still do, until June 29th.
I sent Doreen an emote and
to this day have know idea how her profile popped up on my screen. Doreen sent
me an emote back and right away we sent eachother messages. It was within 3
days, that we started to realize that we had many things in common, past,
present and dreams for the future. We decided to exchange our personal e-mail
addresses and immediately decided that we should talk to eachother on the
phone.
We talked every night, about everything(2-3 hours). We both knew that there
was something special going on between us. We talked about things that made us
laugh and things that were sad. After a very short time, maybe a week or so, we
agreed that we should meet each other. I told Doreen, I would book a flight and
fly the 700 miles. She accepted. It was 40 days from the day we agreed to the
day we would meet. It was not pre-planned, it just was agreed on that night
when we talked on the phone. Think of it, 40 days, and it happened during
Lent.
Well, we met. Doreen was with one of her daughters and her
daughters child, at the airport. We hugged and we kissed. I knew right then
that I had met an Angel. We spent five days together, attended Mass on Sunday
and I flew back home on a Tuesday. We spent time alone and time with her
children and grandchildren. Doreens 3 daughters contacted me when I was still
there and said they would chip in and buy me a plane ticket to come back for
Mothers day. Of course, I was extatic and ready to go and pack my bags as soon
as I got home. Doreen did not know I was coming, so it was a big
surprise.
We met eachother through an emote on Catholic Match. We sent
e-mails back and forth. We talked for hours on the phone. We knew each other
before we met in person. We Love each other so much, because we are open, honest
and are willing to give of ourselves. I will be by Doreen's side forever and a
day and I know she will be by mine. Before the time we met, we prayed for the
day that this could happen and on August 8, 2008, it will. We both pray that
the same will happen to You.
