Paul and I (Rebecca) began to correspond through Catholic Match in
February of 2005. Communication was slow at first and it wasn't until
May of 2005 when we swapped our actual email addresses. The phone calls
started shortly afterwards. I liked Paul because we shared a devotion
to Our Lady of Lourdes. I related to him as a person who believed in
serving people through his profession as a nurse. We just seemed to be
a really good match.
Paul and I lived about two hours apart. He
drove to Kalamazoo for our first date on June 11, 2005. And the rest is
history. We went kayaking, camping, and bike riding. We have gone to a
Bruce Springsteen concert. We have had a wonderful time.
On
January 3rd of 2006, Paul proposed to me when I was in the perpetual
adoration chapel of my church at 4:00 am. Our wedding date is on
September 16, 2006. I am excited to start a new life and family with
Paul. God has certainly blessed us.
