Michael had been through some time times, but he kept a positive spirit and outlook on life. As he corresponded with various women on CatholicMatch, it seemed as though he might be making some headway. Then he made what might normally be called a fatal mistake.

In the midst of Michael’s correspondence with Rosario, he had a mental slip-up. “I got her mixed up with another woman I was fishing for,” he confessed. “She was a little leery of me, but kept communicating.” It’s a good thing Rosario did, for it would have been a shame had an honest—if not embarrassing—mistake stood in the way of a match they would both later feel had been made in Heaven.

This past Christmas, after Midnight Mass was over, Michael proposed to Rosario and she accepted. “'Yes’ was the best word I had heard in many years,” he told CatholicMatch. They celebrated with her family that night and will get married in Maine next summer.
