The spring of 2008 is when Tom and Rita met on Catholic Match. Both
were skeptical about meeting someone online, but thought perhaps they would
have a better chance on Catholic Match. It was important to both to find
someone with the same values and Catholic foundation each had grown up
with. They started chatting through Catholic Match on April 5th,
2008. After chatting online for about a week
they exchanged phone numbers and began having phone conversations.
The truth is, Tom had a hard time keeping up with how fast Rita could type!
Their first date was on April 19th. After just three months of
dating, both Rita and Tom knew that they had found the real deal. Neither had ever been so happy. If they could describe their
relationship in one word, it would be "effortless". After
dating for six months, on October 22nd, 2008, Tom got down on one knee and
proposed to Rita. They then exchanged vows amongst family and friends on
January 28th. To top off this amazing success story, Tom and Rita are
excited to announce that this year they will also be expecting their first child!
Without Catholic Match, Tom and Rita would have never met. They live a
little over an hour away from one another, and feel truly blessed that God
brought them together. Their prayers were answered through Catholic Match.
