61, Edmonton, CAHave "boat" need a shipmate, as I sail into retirement. I own my own business in the industrial contracting field which I have been extremely busy building over the past 25 yrs. As much as I love what I do now it's time to think ahead to retirement and I am currently working on a succession plan. I am looking at spending some or most of my time in the Tropics during the long, cold Canadian Winters. The Gulf Coast and the Caribbean are presently on my radar, somewhere I can take my boat out on New Year's day without a snowsuit, do a little fishing, sit around a campfire on a beach and play music or a casual round of golf. Life is too short not to enjoy the fruits of our labor. I am a straight shooter and run my business and my life with honesty and integrity which has proven to be a sound formula for both my business and myself through the years. Of course hard work had a little to do with it. I work hard but when it's time to have fun I know how to have fun and with a little Irish humor thrown in life itself can be fun.I follow a lot of sports and played at a high level in my first life, am still an avid fan of many but now happily resigned to the bleachers.Being born in Ireland Irish music (which I play) and folk music in general are my favorites but I enjoy a wide variety, as long as it moves me, even sometimes onto the dancefloor. An enthusiastic partner just makes it better. The ocean also is on my favorite list, having been brought up on The Atlantic Ocean in Ireland and boats of course. I miss the sound and smell of the ocean, been landlocked on the prairies for too long. Hence "That Boat" Who wants to be my shipmate?

27, Edmonton, CAHi there. This is a little harder than it looks to fill out, so here goes! The people who have been the most influential in my life have been my parents. They just celebrated 30 years of marriage, and I couldn't be more blessed to have a better example of a healthy, faith filled union. My father is the best man I know, and I am fortunate to have him my life. He is a man of good character, faith, gentleness, integrity, loyalty, discipline, and has taught all his children the value of a good work ethic. My mom is the heart of our home I always count myself very blessed to have be raised with a full time mom at home. I am a very active person; I love being outside and work out often. It think it has become a habit after playing years of sports in high school and through university. It is my way of relaxing, clearing my head, and just keeping a healthy lifestyle, mentally, spiritually and physically!! I love to try new meals and am always looking for fun new recipes; I am hoping to sign up for a cooking class in the new year. My faith and my family are the 2 most important things in life to me. I asked my family and close friends how they would describe me and this is what they said. Very loyal, disciplined, tender hearted, trustworthy, honest, a hard worker, and that I have a good sense of humor. I feel I am driven and am always chasing a goal. I am very intuitive when it comes to being sensitive toward others and their needs. I feel it is important to be industrious and productive, but to always take time to relax, enjoy, and have fun. I strive to always be a good steward of the gifts God has given me, and feel I am a well rounded individual who will always continue to work on becoming better in every area that I can. I love to learn and be challenged. I am inspired by Matthew Kelly's writings on becoming the 'Best version of yourself' and am consistently looking for ways to improve my habits, virtues, and goals. I particularly enjoy books and writings on personal development; examples include The 5 Love Languages, Personality Plus, and Rediscovering Catholicism.

26, Edmonton, CAMy name is Taylor and I'm a devout Roman Catholic. I was raised in a Catholic family and as I've grown older, I have been more interested in my faith and have taken it more seriously. My experiences attending/working at a Catholic Summer camp have helped me learn about faith and fellowship. Some leisure activities include: running, indoor climbing, music (I play lots of instruments), and singing. I also recently got into swing dancing (it's so fun!). Everyday I pray by reading the daily Mass Readings. My favorite way of prayer is Praise and Worship. I have a strong desire for the vocation of marriage, and I have joined CM as a way to meet new people that share the same faith. I take dating/pursuing relationships very seriously. I enjoy any form of exercise. I have tried to exercise everyday, but some minor injuries have required me to ease up a bit for the time being. Keeping fit is important to me. I enjoy trying new sports and watching sports. I follow hockey a bit, and am a die hard Toronto Maple Leafs fan (pause for laughter). Sports are a fun way to build community with others.

56, Edmonton, CAStill under construction. Ok, I have a big sense of humor and a big heart, but I also tell it like it is, I am young at heart and body and think life is a adventure, I have a positive outlook, and will not hang around people that are negative or complain a lot or are drama queens/kings. I am fit (155 lbs), love long walks, even better if they are at midnight. If you are a person that would rather drive to a store instead of walking and talking, we would not be a good match. I would rather ride my bicycle downtown(at a easy pace) than drive. I am a believer of God with high moral values and attend church. (please, no bible thumpers) Have a great long term job. (no gold diggers need apply, lol!). I am into doing: non paying renos and home improvements jobs for friends, family or neighbors (OK I am a sucker, I know but it makes them and me happy), volunteering, donating blood, and generally believe in helping people out that need it. I have traveled a fair bit. I do not live on the net and are not a fan of facebook. I would rather be doing things. I would like to have more time to read more (Non fiction, news and financials are my thing). Now to tell it like it is: I cannot dance, I have no rhythm and have broken many want-a-be dance instructors, but your welcome to try. I cannot cook well, so I never complain (Am very easy going) I don't drink coffee because it keeps me awake at work (really!). I do not like golfing or participating in cold weather sports, but I do exercise outside in winter. I do not watch pro sports but love watching amateur sports if I know someone who is playing. I am not a party animal, but love social events and can, and do talk to everyone. Other than that I am a normal, well balanced, reasonable happy and funny guy who has his act together. I have average looks with shorter brown hair, blue eyes, white teeth, and usually a smile on my face. I have no tattoos, not into piercings or bling or being phony. Interested, I would really like to hear your from you. I like listening better than talking. Good English is a requirement, as communication is important to me. Please no cougars or mail order brides and you must NOT be half my age. Note: if you you are addicted to anything (other than your kids) please save your effort. Extra points if you are a volunteer, or do things for other people. As said before, God and Jesus must be in your life.
28, Edmonton, CAI'm originally from Prince Edward Island, so that should say something about my personality. My family is important to me, and this past year has been a struggle being so far away from them. Being Catholic is part of who I am, so it's important to me to find someone I can share it with. I'm a huge nerd, so if that turns you off, I'm not the girl for you. I enjoy going on adventures, travelling, baking, sewing, playing board games, video games, movies, reading, etc. I enjoy life, one of my passions is to make people happy. I've spent the last seven years of my life training to be an ecumenical chaplain, and I will continue to strive to become one. I guess I'm looking for someone who is encouraging, loves to laugh, and who wants to go on an adventure with me.
