Kevin and I, both in our mid-30s, met shortly after joining
CatholicMatch.com. After just a few days on the site, I got a "wink"
from Kevin. Kevin had joined about a month before me, and when he read
my profile, he liked what he read. We are both
family-oriented and desire many of the same goals. After winking at one
another we both became full members and began emailing nightly for two weeks before deciding to meet.
On the day of our
first date, I called him, got him out of the shower, to ask if we could
meet elsewhere. I later found out that he thought I was calling to
cancel. The truth was, I was so nervous that I didn't want to meet at a
restaurant in our home town, I knew with all those familiar eyes
staring at me I wouldn't be able to say a word. Kevin agreed and we had
our first date at Quaker Steak and Lube. We spent hours talking....we
talked about everything, even the tough stuff...money, health, goals,
dreams, fears, and expectations.
That first date was Saturday, March 6, 2010, and there isn't a day that goes by that we
don't see or talk to one another. We have spent every weekend together,
and going to church together every week. Meeting Kevin renewed my faith
in God. I didn't even know it, but I had begun doubting that God would
ever send my soulmate to me...but now I realize he did...in fact, he
was right down the road the whole time, God just knew I wasn't ready.
We have found each other and
know it's forever. So to all of you who feel like it's
hopeless, that there is no one out there for you, remember that it is
not in our time, but in God's. God has a plan for all of us and it is
not for us to know. I know that God led me to Catholic Match at just the
right time in my life, and he has led you here for a reason to. We wish

and soulmate as we have been.
