Thanks to CM for bringing us, Alfonso and I (Alejandra), together.
Alfonso wrote me for the first time in July 2007. I liked his e-mail, because even though he wasn’t sure I was going to write him back, he told me many things about himself in a friendly and kind way…and I didn't doubt. I wrote him back and we started a wonderful correspondence.
This past December we met in person at the Mexico City airport. I was so happy to see him, because after our correspondence and praying together, I already felt close to him. I felt immediately comfortable in his company, but I was very far from knowing exactly how I was going to feel during our time together. Those four days were amazing...I felt so secure and happy in his company, that I think I fell in love during those days.
We went to Mass the day Alfonso arrived here in Mexico City...of course we went to visit Our Lady of Guadalupe in the Shrine. On New Year's Eve, before Alfonso left to Austin, he asked me to be his girlfriend and I accepted with no doubts!!! We now have a formal relationship that makes me feel the luckiest girl in this world!
We look forward to spending more time together, to keep learning about each other, and discerning what God has in store for us. I encourage all the people that read this story and haven't found their matches yet...please don't give up. God does amazing things if we just let Him fully work in our lives.
