As Christmas is approaching, I have been reflecting on the memories of Christmases past, and the struggles that I face this first Christmas without the smiling face of my little brother, Kevin. There has been a pleasant distraction in the midst of this season though, and I want to thank CatholicMatch for that blessing.
I signed up on CatholicMatch several years ago. I met several singles, but the relationships just didn't seem to fit. Frustrated, I gave up. I even joined a couple of secular singles sites and was met with greater frustration. One day, out of the blue, I received a message on CatholicMatch from Mark. His eyes were very kind and there was just something about him. I thought of the past disappointments, but...I felt this was different. One difference is that he only lived two hours from me. I decided to activate my membership and respond to his emails. Mark and I have been dating for almost six months now.
Something was tugging at my heart, even several years ago, when I first joined. Mark
and I both believe that God brought us together. We are so happy, we laugh together, play together, spend hours talking, and are just very much in love. I'm not even sure what qualities that I listed that I was looking for in a mate, but Mark has surpassed all that I could have imagined. I could not have named those qualities he had, because I
didn't know until I met and fell in love with him.
I do believe that with prayer, perseverence, and patience, God will, if it be His
will, connect you with the right person. I am forever grateful to CatholicMatch for this relationship. If not for CatholicMatch, we probably would never have met. Blessings to you and to all those who are waiting for your soul mate...Keep the faith!
