For National Marriage Week, EWTN News Nightly with Colleen Carroll Campbell did a segment on Catholic couple, Alex and Joy Kubik who met on CatholicMatch.com and are are celebrating seven years of marriage.
Joy and Alex agreed that they never thought they would meet their spouse online, but valued being able to find single Catholics with similar faith values. The Kubiks reiterated the importance of taking advantage of CatholicMatch.com as a meeting tool, but bringing the real relationship offline as soon as possible.
Fr. William Byrne from St. Peter's on Capital Hill was also featured on the spot. Fr. Byrne said that God can use many different ways to bring people together. He reminds Catholics that the purpose of dating is to get to know the other person in a healthy way and progress in the relationship in order to discern marriage.
