I (Sarah)don't know where to begin! I spent maybe ten months on Catholic Match a few years ago, with no success. I left to discern religious life and decided I did not have a vocation. On account of having had some less than wonderful experiences with trying to find someone on-line, I had sworn off the Internet route forever. But it didn't last. What changed my mind? Perhaps in answer to prayer, God moved my heart. That is all I can think because God chose this means for me to meet my sweetie! And it seems it might have been almost a necessity, or loud wakeup call.
My significant other had decided he was happy as he was and wasn't looking for anyone. But he did an Internet search on something Catholic, came across this site, and found himself checking it out. He saw my profile, and decided to get a subscription! He emailed me and I wrote back the same night. I was so excited because he went to my church and his profile looked great! We'd been in the same place for years without meeting, so it seems God resorts to what means He wills to see his plan through!
I would encourage the unsure about trying this out to pray about it. There may be "bumps" and heartaches to be sure, but you never know. God sure worked through this medium to put us together!
